WOYWW #403

Another week further into the year, and time for linking up again with our favourite Hostess, Julia, over at The Stamping Ground.
Not much going on over here, I seem to spend a lot of time sleeping, and doing very little else. We did go out to buy some meat last weekend, and the farm shop we get our meat from is conveniently right next door to our local craft shop!

The two handfuls of stuff followed me home- love that Impression Obsession snowman, really cute.
The Thinlits die is one of Tims latest releases, and to be honest,is one of the few items that grabbed me this time around.

Some wooden snowflakes in two sizes, and some metal embellishments made up my shopping.

Earlier in the week I'd had some more stamps arrive- some of the latest releases from Visible Image.
Bottom right is a face mask/stencil, to work with the eyes stamp set next to it.
Well, I'll be around to visit in a while, in between naps, lol.

Sleep is helping you recover.. don't fight it! I liked a lot of Tim's releases this time (except the stamps with those freaky faces that he seems to think are so fabulous) but glad you grabbed some of the new stuff... the other bunch of stamps are fab! Helen #??

You nap all you want, mum always said sleep was a great healer. After what you have been through (the photo last week showed us what a massive cut you had had) you need to recover in the best way possible. Mind you, craft shopping is a good way to help the road to recovery - pleases the eye and the heart. Just take care and we all know that man of yours will make sure you do.
Lots of love

Have a good week.

That's great that you managed to get out for a bit of retail therapy - good to hear! You got a mixed bunch of items there but lots of useful things which I've no doubt you'll use a lot! Keep sleeping, it's the best thing to do at the moment.

Someone told me once that your body heals while you are sleeping, so maybe that is the thing to do, right?

I love your new crafty goodies. I would love to see what you make with that cute cat set!

Hi Shaz, sleep is all about recovering when you've been through major surgery, as you have. Your energy will return slowly but surely and just think of the fun you are going to have with all those new goodies when it does :) Thanks for your earlier visit. Take care and hugs, Elizabeth x #30

Hi Shaz,

It's good to pay attention to your body and if it's telling you to sleep then do it!! Don't feel guilty about it either, enjoy the nap or even laying on the bed to give your body a break!

Like what you picked up at your local craft shop. It is conveniently located too!

So glad you are up and getting on. You are in my thoughts always.

I love the photo of you and Doug on the right of you at the top of your blog. It's so beautiful.

Happy WOYWW

Glad you are on the men from your operation. I do like the tim die you picked up but have so many flower dies not sure I need it!! Love the other stamps.

Glad to know you're not pushing yourself and getting plenty of rest. Tim has great dies and this one is no exception! But looks like you got a great haul even if it is a couple "handfuls". But those stamps from Visible Image... WOW! Anyway, thanks for the visit and take a nap for me... LOL!

Hello Shaz. I've not actually joined in with WOYWW - again ( life rather getting in the way :-( ) I have just read all the accounts of your recent surgery etc. You poor girl - you did suffer. So pleased that you are home and recovering. Thinking of Doug as well because I'm sure he has also suffered with you. I think we are both lucky that we have dear , caring hubby's. Take it easy and enjoy a little bit of play with your new stash. Anne x

Lovely new stash to play with once you start to feel better, Shaz. I know the feeling - total exhaustion since coming out of hospital! I've been quite unable to do anything today except rest. I feel about 102. Thank you for your lovely comment and your understanding - from a position of personal experience!! My bruises from repeated attempts at getting cannulas to work are gradually fading now, thank goodness. I will probably have to go back in once this lot has healed up, for a more permanent repair of the hernia, and I shall ask for a PICC from the get-go. I'm NOT going through that whole pincushion routine again!

How convenient to have a craft shop next to where you were going anyway - LOL.

Thanks for visiting me yesterday. I was a bit busy as I was taken out on a magical mystery tour by a friend for my birthday treat and she took me to Hobbycraft, gave me a basket and said to choose what I wanted - NICE!

Have a good week, BJ#10
