WOYWW #353

And I'm here this week. Missing last week entirely due to having lost a day. It was almost Wednesday evening when I realised it was, in fact, Wednesday, and not Tuesday. For which I completely blame Beloved Hubby. You know how you know what day it is by what happens? Well, after the weekend, because Beloved Hubby works nights, I have two nights until Wednesday. Except last week he had Monday night off, which in my poor confused brain meant it was Sunday, and so on, and so on. Total fail. But here I am again, ready to add my link at Julias, over at The Stamping Ground.
Slightly staged desk this week, for a reason I will explain in a moment. First off though, a couple of recent purchases.
Crazy Cats and Mini Bird Crazy. The mini birds also come with the accessories on the same sheet, and yes, I have also bought the dies, as I truly detest fussy cutting.

Some of the Visible Image stamps I pre-ordered from the latest batch of releases. They came in two separate halves, as poor Mark and Helen are really struggling to keep up with orders.

Finally got the Mothers Day cards made, in the post below, as well as a couple from the masterboards. The reason I had to put what had actually been on my desk all the way down here is that I can't have the image popping up on Facebook- you know how it shows the picture that is first on your blog post?I got a request Monday morning, from our sister -in -law to be,( Dougs eldest brother is getting married this Saturday). Could I possibly make her some cards to give the bridesmaids/flower girls? Had a think, realised I had an idea that would be quick to do, so said yes. That was when I discovered there are SEVEN bridesmaids, FOUR flower girls, and a Matron of Honour!

The toppers consist of hearts/circles/squares of diamanté threaded onto ribbon, the white  card is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots. All I have to do now is print the inserts and they are good to go. I'm just glad I had a simple design in mind! So thats my show and tell for this week, I'll be round later so you can show me yours.

Love those designs, simple but effective. Just right for the occasion. I suspect that Visible Image have just reached the point where they have to expand Jo st to survive, a big decision for them. See you later this week. xxx Maggie

I am in two minds about the cats as I am not a cat person, but they are kinda cute... well done on making all those cards for the attendants - that's going to be a crowded set of photos (am sure we'll see some on FB!) Have a great day. (Wednesday, lol!) Helen #?

So actually, the mini birds are better value huh! Your cards for the wedding are lovely, a week to go...classic non card maker timing! Hope to see some pics!

Wow, that was thinking on your feet with those wedding cards - and what a fabulous job you have made of them. I would have had them all the same and not thought of how I could vary them - well done you.
Oh don't tell me there are mini crazy birds ... I can feel more spending coming on, can understand why you had to buy them as you did.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Lol - that was good thinking putting the important pic down the bottom of the post! Love the cards, simple and elegant.
I adore those new sentiments you've got, absolutely brilliant, I bet you'll use that madness one a lot ;-) But....and it's a big but....no matter how much of a cat lover I am, I just don't get those Crazy Cats at all!! (Hate the Crazy Birds too!)
Have fun at the wedding next week...wanna see loads of pics, pretty please!

Alas, since himself's retirement we never know what day of the week it is and often have to actually sit and work it out ... "this and this happened on such and such day so it must be ... " kinda works sometimes! LOVE Visible Image and what a huge step they have reached - expansion of their business must be scary but they deserve their success! Also LOVE those cards ... clean and crisp and you did a super job with them ... wonderful keepsakes from such a wonderful day. Love to you, as always, Debbie.(probably not WOYWW'ing this week as desk is kinda, sorta emptyish) xXx

What gorgeous cards. They are all quite stunning yet simple to make. I added the Crazy Cats to my wish list since I have a birthday coming in a few months. Mini birds huh? Oh, I'll just pretend I didn't see that! PJ #60

Stacy Sheldon said...

oooh did you have the original sized birds? ( I keep looking at the mini's trying to decide how much smaller they are in real life) so, I am wondering if you can get more birds on a cardfront kind of a thing so, It will be fun to see what you do with them.
your sister in law is very lucky to have you that is a lot of cards for a small amount of time.

Lovely cards for the wedding party! I know that feeling of confusing the days. Thankfully I realised it was Wednesday just in time for nap time this aft so managed to throw some pictures into the blog and ramble a bit! Maybe we should set an alarm?! Happy crafting, Max #51 :-)

Yes, those stamps are great! I just love your bridesmaid's cards. Simple but effective.
Sorry I´m late. I had my new computer today and I have been fiddling about with that but now I have everything going. (I am typing this on my new keyboard, which is Spanish, so I am constantly looking for things that are in a different place). I still have to sort out the printer and some speakers, but the system works!
Have a great week and thanks for visiting me earlier.

Lovely new stash, Shaz, and those cards for the bridesmaids are absolutely stunning... So stylish and extremely professional. I hope you all have a wonderful time at the wedding.

Thank you for your lovely comment. Yes, I've been too busy lately for my own good. I need some time to rest up, and then a mmore normal routine so I can actually get some art done again - it's awful but that's the thing that always gets shoved to the bottom of the heap! As for Phoebe, we are hoping that as the phenobarbital builds up in her system that there will be no further seizures. We are giving her lots of love and attention.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Ooh.... well done on the cards. They look very swish...

I've been resisting the Visible Image stamps for a while. I can sense my resolve failing. I think my biggest problem is trying to choose which stamp to purchase.

Thanks for stopping by (and I've had day issues too) my blog this week!

Oh, bravo to you for doing those beautiful cards on such short notice! I did buy the crazy bird stamps but I drew the line at the dies or the funky little accessories. I have so many stamps+dies now. And it takes practice to learn how to cut the smaller ones just right. Would have passed had I known. I'm fine with fussy-cutting. Tomorrow may be another story, but that's mine for today, heehee. xoxo
