Well it is wednesday again, so that can only mean one thing , "Tuesday is behind us and we are one day closer to the weekend", and while that is true it is the one day a week that the crafting community shares what they have been up to on their desks, now that may or may not be some actual crafting, What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
This week I am afraid there has been no crafting, I am sure you can all understand as to why, but that does not mean craft related stuff hasn't been achieved.
Shaz had a load of tubs of stamps and stencils all over the shop in different tubs for either projects she had planned or projects she had completed, So today I have been mainly dealing with finding homes for all the stamps and stencils, Stuff and Things.
The binder is labeled Lavinia 2, it is reputed to store all the fairy houses, animals and trees etc.
So at the top of the desk you will note the lavinia stamps, they all look new and unopened, but they have all been listed in onenote (Shaz listed everything she ever bought including pictures) One note is something I am getting more and more familiar with as I have started using it for work.
If you need something to keep yourself organised to prevent you buying duplicates i highly recommend it.
So what else have I been upto?
I have been in contact with a womans refuge and I am awaiting them getting back to me with regards to some of Sharon's clothes (not the fancy stuff), things like leggings, socks, smalls and plain tops etc
Believe it or not she does have some plain stuff too!
What can I say?
Well my excuse is LOOOOK at them trees, just LOOOOK at them!
So we have the Tree of Hope & the Tree Of Courage, then the sentiment one is called Magic Surrounds us
Your welcome๐
They will be used with a future project I have whirling around in my head, just need the skills to pull it off, the choccy in the bottom, yeah I got that, pretty sure I can manage that without trying ๐.
Anyway, that is our desk covered, what is yours like? head on over to our Julias for a link up and share what you have been up to.
Cheeky holiday snap, this one is from Kos in 2019, from the last working windmill on Kos, the tour guide said to pop your hands in the air, so we both did, Shaz let go of her walking stick to do so, this resulted in it falling to the floor ha ha
so that just leaves ....

Shaz really was very organised with her stuff Doug - must make life a lot easier to keep up for you too. Loving the new stamps and can totally understand why they fell in your basket. Look forward to seeing what you do with them. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Hugs. Sarah #4
Glad that Shaz's organisation is helping you with her supplies!! those trees are gorgeous - I saw a demo on you tube with them so can understand the purchase... take care Doug and hope the refuge are able to accept some of Shaz's things which will be a great help to them I am sure. Hugs. Helen #1
It is a slippery slope, Doug, but a fun one. and you know Shaz is beaming with pride at every crafty item you make. And if you stop, well she'll forgive that too. Missed the funeral due to another school related Zoom that could not be rescheduled but did wonder if you (wearing your tech wizard hat) might have captured it? Is it available as a replay? I was sad not to attend in some way so thought I would ask.
Baby steps, indeed, but they do add up eventually and you will look back and be amazed at how far you have actually come one day.
slept in so

They say that to assume is to make an ass out of u m e, but that's what I did. I assumed you were logging it all as I hadn't realised she did that as a way of keeping track. Genius! Looking forward to seeing those trees in action. I hope you are finding some comfort in her chair and that you are okay after a difficult week. Baby steps as you say xx. Sending Spring blessings, Lisa-Jane #7
Morning Doug. What organization! I am so impressed. I love your new stamps - enjoy!!! Hey - these aren't baby steps - they are giant ones. You are there in Shaz's favourite place (well, apart from being at your side, that is) - and working on things, buying new things you know you will use. That's beautiful. My hubby died four and a half years ago now, and while I did a huge amount straight away, I never touched his art materials - only now am I trying those things out. You are doing so well - this has been a long journey for you.
BTW - I love the "and finally"!!!
Take care. God bless.

Good to see you are tackling some of those "hard" jobs Doug. The charities will be so glad of all the useful stuff. I think it's such a positive and head clearing thing to do. Otherwise those jobs nag at you. Each little step you make puts things in order and makes everyday life easier - so important when you have bigger jobs to organise and complete. As for the crafting - you will never be short of stash to play with that's for sure. Take pleasure in every minute spent at that desk - it's one of the best ways you can honour and remember that super-glittery crafter! xx Jo
I’m, not surprised to see the craft stuff so well organised, Shaz hated wasting time searching for stuff (like me!). I’m glad that you are adding to the collection as well, the tree stamps are brilliant! I love Lavinia stamps, all because of getting Shaz’s influence! Hope the wardrobe sorting goes ok, it’s good to know that charities will be benefitting.

Hi Doug, it’s time for bed over here but just popping into comment before I head there.
I must admit, I’m not only impressed with Shaz’s organisation but also with yours too! Mine is very adhoc in comparison, and zero on computer as well. Have only once duplicated something and that was a small Stampscapes stamp a couple of years back, I guess being in Oz that’s not as much of a problem!. That reminds me I need to use some of them! ๐ Do love them.
And love those trees, beautiful stamps, I also watch the Lavinia videos when I can but most things not here. However certainly get great ideas and techniques from them. Hope you can pull off your idea, it sounds interesting. ๐
Also love that funny soo true! esp here one bar is not uncommon, being in the country. Beautiful tour photo and had chuckle re stick drop that sounds like me!
I shared this post here which describes how I made the card I mailed, also shared Shaz photos, when we amazingly met courtesy of Margaret, and my dear memories of her. Here’s link just in case maybe perhaps you’d like a look.. https://calligraphycards-shazinoz.blogspot.com/2021/02/vale-shazsilverwolf-woyww-josephs-coat.html
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Your new stamps are gorgeous and I can see why you chose them. Shaz introduced me to a company that sells A4 wallets with all different sized pockets in them - I have completely re-organised crafting stash with these and they will forever be a reminder of Shaz's wonderful enabling - she was certainly the Queen or organised. Enjoy using the stamps and I'm looking forward to seeing your project.
Love the photo and the funny,

God Morning Doug, wow, you are getting organised, as you say it's a good exercise in getting to know what stash you have. Your new stamps look beautiful, and will look forward to see what you create with them. Love holiday photo of you both, Kate x
Well done on the sorting!
Love those trees...
Thinking of you.

Doug, I can not tell you how comforting it is to see you posting on Shaz's blog. It's a bit like Shaz is still with us and we can also see that you're ok! It was a lovely service on Friday - I'm glad I was able to attend virtually and had a chance to say goodbye. Shaz's own poem was particularly touching. The new stamps look wonderful - I'm sure you'll make something very special with them. Keep well xx zsuzsa #28
For anyone that missed the service on Friday, once i get the USB I will share the service online.
Thank you all for the kind words,
Sorry I am late in commenting but had to delete 40 comments from someone who is obviously having a great time targeting me at the moment. Deleted 56 last night too. It really is a pity they have nothing better to do - it takes so much time messing about deleting them and today's were in between legit comments which made it difficult.
I remember Shaz emailing me with details about that program to save the items in with photographs but I couldn't do it. We decided it was because I was on a MAc. Shame because I was really impressed with the fact it had photos too so that names of stamps meant more.
Cannot say anything about you buying those new stamps. they are gorgeous and I have seen the samples people have done with them - so glad you are getting 100% into this stamping lark. Roll on the crop.
Hugs, Neet x5
Hi Doug, how impressively organised Shaz was, cataloguing each purchase!
Your new trees are beautiful. I hope you enjoy crafting with them.
I'm glad you're sorting clothes to give to a women's refuge. It's a hard job so I'm sending hugs for you as you do it
Stay safe

Doug, we LOVE seeing you here, sharing and carrying on the crafting!! I KNOW that Shaz is with you 100% of the way and so in that way she is still here with all of us!! Love your enthusiasm!!
The organization is killing me!!! LOLOL I'm lucky to EVER find what I am looking for and if I do it's SCORE for me!! LOL I'm lucky to remember yesterday let alone where whatever craft tchotchke I need is! LOL But on the good note....she set you up!! How very Shaz of her! LOLOL ALWAYS the helpful spirit! By the way, thanks for the HUGE enabling with those Lavinia stamps!! Love them and can't wait to see your projects!!! Blessings to you! Felicia #25
It was so lovely to see the service on Friday - thank you so much for allowing us to share in the occasion. I love how organised everything is and that you are continuing the tradition of buying new stamps - those trees are fabulous! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#17)
Thanks again for the opportunity to join the family in Shaz's farewell, Doug. I am so impressed with your efforts in her craft room! Those tree stamps certainly are beautiful... I keep hearing about Lavinia stamps but I haven't got any. I've got quite a few stamps but don't tend to do a lot of stamping because I'm so hopeless at it!!
I love the idea of organising the supplies like that on the computer. Definitely something to look into.
What a great idea, donating some of Shaz's clothes to a women's refuge - she would definitely agree I am sure. It is very hard having to part with things and starting off in a small way with plain stuff is a very good approach. If you do too much at once you can live to regret it - as I learnt with some of my grandmother's stuff.
I love the funny! I added another "greatest fear" on my blog this week too - soggy croutons!
So great to see you taking an active part not only in WOYWW but also in active crafting too, Doug. What a star.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #22
Hi, Doug. I am the Instagram desker from the U.S. that Julia and Mr. met on their last trip over here.
You have a high bar set for yourself as Shaz was the "enabler extraordinaire." She was so kind and always so helpful!
Anxious to see your makes!
Take care of yourself, stay well.
Kathryn
It’s been a busy day for me so I’m late doing my visits...better late than never eh?
I really love the new stash Doug and I’m thrilled to hear you’re successfully tackling the difficult jobs....keep up the good work.
Hugs,
Annie x #13
Love Lavinia stamps, but only have a couple. I'm a messy person but like to put my crafty stuff into some kind of order, I have a lot on my lap top too, so any thing that can help with that is all good and will look into One Note, stay strong, stay safe, keep crafting! Happy WOYWW?! ((Lyn))#21
I'm so pleased that you've decided to carry on the good work for Shaz and you know that if you need any help or advice about any projects we're here to help. Take care and have a happy woyww, Angela x19x
Hi Doug, Shaz always put me to shame with her tidy way and documenting. Those stamps that look brand new have probably been stamped a dozen times or more and cleaned after each time, unlike my inky messy ones. Her love of Lavinia stamps never went unnoticed. Those tree's really are amazing, just go with the flow and enjoy the process of creativity, remember we all had to start somewhere and there's plenty more to learn along the way.
Take good care of yourself, best wishes this WoywW Tracey #12
Well that’s the first time I’ve seen one note being used for something that interests me!! My word that’s a whole lot of Lavinia. I do like the trees very much, and note that you too are drawn to the mystical.glad you know what to do with the choc, you really wouldn’t want me to demonstrate that! Xxxxx
Love the new Lavinia stamps! I'm on a Lavinia kick right now, I spent my Christmas stamp money on Lavinia stamps, but clearly I need more. I'm doing a Bullet Journal, kind of like a daily planner, but with lots of other stuff too, and my theme this month is Lavinia. I thought I was organized, Shaz had it all over me! Have a great week, Lindart #30
you know, Well maybe you do not know but, Shaz was always sharing ideas about how to organize creative tools frequently on Splitcoaststampers too, so. I smiled to see that you can find your way around in the program and the studio too. ooh those trees are totally cool :) ~Stacy #32
Hello Doug. Thank you for letting us share/ join in with the funeral. It was just perfect. Many wise words read/spoken.
I need to organise my stuff. I don't have any Lavinia stamps, yet :-)
Take care, you are doing so well. Hugs. Anne x 26
Hi Doug, so good to see you here. I love that you have been buying stamps - they really are gorgeous! Kudos on the organisation, with a stash the size of Shaz's (I'm just guessing here...) it would be easy to get overwhelmed without some structure! So glad to be there Friday and thinking of you. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #27
