WOYWW#561- The Boring Edition

It is really. As we all link up over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground for this weeks desk fest, my desk is full of pretty boring stuff.
I'm at the bit of putting in inserts and stamping my Made By on the back.
Those are copy paper cut to fit the smaller cards I've done, as I made a couple of big batches recently. Now they have to be folded and stamped. The wallets are for any-hopefully- extras I may have when I'm done. And having just collected together all the ones I need to do, I discovered there's a lot more than I thought.

The two piles on the left are assorted ones, the other 5 piles are all Christmas cards. Left it a bit longer than I should have.

I did come across these print outs in a box. I think they are from a crafting CD bought from Joanna Sheene, but can't remember which one.Might be Thomas Kincaide? I ripped all the stuff I wanted off the CD's, and have them stored in folders on my pc. But they'll be useful for larger cards.

This is the batch of cards I made using those self cut stencils.
Stamps are by Cardio, and I covered them with Glossy Accents after. The How To is in the post below.

Paid a visit to The Range in the week, and picked up these storage boxes. There's 2 in each pack, and cost a £1. They'll be good for storing small beads/acrylic gems/sequins etc.

And I'm done. A really cheap bit of enabling this week, lol.
 Which just leaves.....And Finally.....

Particularly relevant to us deskers, I think. 😁

That is a huge pile of cards you've got ready - it's bad enough stamping the greetings for the middle never mind having to do inserts (which is why I never do!) Well done for getting in some enabling; I just have the promise of some! Helen #?

Lol, if that's the case, then there's tumbleweed blowing through my mind! I just can't work in a cluttered desk and it drives me mad not being able to find stuff. You've done so well with the C cards, what a lovely variety, the baubles ones are great!

Albert certainly knew what he was talking about.
Lovely cards Shaz, I bet with the gloss finish they kook extra special. You do such lovely and clean work. ``how many Christmas cards have you made ready? I am sure I won't ever reach that number as there loos to be loads of them. All beautiful too.
Nice shopping but I think I can manage without them this week - can't wait for the brushes.

Your posts are never boring, Shaz! I really enjoyed this one. Your card productivity is amazing - it takes me about a week to make one! I love the DIY stencil ones you made, and well done, getting a production line going with the inserts. Always good to use up stuff, too. For my beads and sequins etc., I’ve got a pretty decorative chocolate box with 2 drawers at the bottom (for metallic threads) and the top is stuffed with small ziplock bags with beads etc. It is economical on space but involves a fair amount of rummaging - the story of my storage life I’m afraid. I really need to get more organised... As for Einstein, shame he’s not still around to join in WOYWW. He’d fit right in.

Happy WOYWW,

Lordy Miss Shaz, you’re going great guns. I don’t do inserts, too lazy. Mind though, if it’s a coloured card, I cut a piece of copy paper to stick to the inside face, but that’s about my limit. Am loving your prolific ness ness. And your desk isn’t boring...its nice to see you getting through the parts of may not like..I quite like the mindless rhythm of such jobs.....which really leads nicely to the Albert quote....!

Hi Shaz.
I've just been doing exactly the same. putting in inserts and stamping on the back. I then pack them in plastic wallets too. It's always a job and a half isn't it but worth doing.
Love your cardio cards and had to smile at your quote. Perfect for my desk today.
Have a good week

Great batch of cards! I really like the batch made with your stencils! Great quote, I'm about 1/2 cluttered or is it 1/2 empty?
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

I just love the quote at the end :) My husband keeps saying I should put inserts in my cards, but I haven't so far. It does make them complete though doesn't it. Angela #28

Hi Shaz, that's a large number of cards you've got completed. I'm hit and miss whether I put inserts in - I think they look nicer with, but I also like to leave some cards blank. I'd never say any of your posts are boring - yours is one of the most informative blogs I read - and your enabling is legendary :-). I'm gutted that Corfu is home to a million mozzies - they always like to feast on me! I'll have to look up some really good deterrents! Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

Hello my dearest - all those Christmas cards put me to shame! But I do have all my cards made for the year (apart from three!) so can live with not yet having even thought about my Christmas cards. I love your posts by the way ... always read them every week so they certainly are not boring! Sorry for this late reply ... I did get back to all my lovely visitors yesterday only to find not one message had posted! Much love to you, Debbie xXx

It might be bording to do but it makes such a difference to a card to have a lovely inside too ( something i don't do very often - so go you!). Might pop into the range at the weekend so will look out for bargains like those. Love your end Quote ( makes me feel better about the mountain on my desk!) Soojay 26
