WOYWW #576- The die cutting Edition.

Mainly die cutting about to happen, with a bit of stamping. This weekends Christmas Card Club is to use a sentiment, no image.
As you can see, the desk has a number of things on the go-the pink envelope holds lots of inserts I've cut, and a whole pile of Versafine Clair inks for the stamping bit. The travel size platform is in evidence, complete with the Sizzix sticky sheet on, it really works incredibly well. Some coloured cardstock for some matting I was either about to do, or intend to do, can't recall which now. Dies of the Christmas sentiment variety, the blue envelope is part pieces of various Christmas themed paper which may, or may not, find themselves being used. Blue microfibre cloth for stamp cleaning, and the spray bottle with blue water in is homemade stamp cleaner. Really easy, and costs pennies per bottle. Baby bath/shampoo, water, and a couple of drops of glycerine. Into that bottle I put maybe 2 teaspoons-ish of baby bath, fill up to the top with water and then add a couple of drops of glycerine.

These are mainly the dies I'm going to work from, there is also a stamp and die set I saw JM using last year, and I bought it, and just remembered it.
It's the word JOY which stamps out with lots of tiny little images to form the letters, so a bit off from the brief, but still. I'm going to stamp it white on white, so it won't stand out too much. Made by Pretty Pink Posh.

And thats my round up for the week, so I'll see you all over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, where the Usual Suspects will be showing their desks to the world.
So that just leaves us with........And Finally.......

Yep, remember every single one, and used most of 'em too! (Apart from Number 3, that would have been a waste of time)

Oh I remember them all well Shaz. I still use the barn one myself as I hate doors left open. Cool die and stamp set. Good luck with your projects. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #8.

Oh dear, I think I've said all those ar some time....lol!! I think making a card with just a sentiment on will be quite challenging as usually it's the pic that takes centre stage - you'll have to share what you end up creating!

Morning Shaz. Have fun with the challenge - it all looks well prepared! Yes - remember absolutely all of those - probably used a fair few over the years, too!
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

Sounds like you're planning a marathon die cut - hope it isn't all by hand! Looking at your dies on magnetic sheets - as are most of mine - on another group someone posted a magnet wall where all their dies were out and to hand. If I had enough wall space I might consider it!! Good luck with the cards. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Hugs Cindy #12

No 20 is the odd one for me, I think my Mum was a little too erm, vain, to admit to past times.!! All the others are almost daily echoes! Second desk of the day that’s quite Christmas involved. I love that Joy set, and as you’ve got it out, I can see you’ll be making a few in a few colours...its what you do. Almost sensible Miss Silverwolf! I’m also hugely reassured by the presence of coloured card stock on your desk for something that you’ve done or intend to do. This brain welcomes those sort of comments as its so normal round here!! Xx

Very busy desk again, makes me want to clear mine and maybe do batch cardmaking like you . . . . maybe I WILL!! Thanks Shaz for the inspiration.
Very pretty stamp and die set, good idea to do it in white, maybe edge the diecut in a pale colour . . . .
Enjoy your week and hope you stay well

I'm loving the sayings and definitely use a lot of them myself. The dies are fabulous and I especially like the Joy one that cuts out tiny ornaments, I'll be looking forward to see what you create with it.
Hope you have a great week,

I think my Mum must have originated all those sayings - we were treated to every one of them at some point growing up!!

Hi, Shaz!
Isn't die cutting fun? I have to watch it or I forget to use my (many) stamps!
I didn't get on board with that first red Sizzix, but I've made up for it since.

Not much enabling this week....? (I think I have many of the same dies)

I don't remember everything on the list, but most. What's worse, I have used most of those on the list!

Stay safe
Happy Wednesday

You have a good assortment of dies to play with! Looking forward to your cards!
As to the old sayings, I think I heard about 2/3 of them as I was growing.
Have a great week!

Hi Shaz, plenty of Christmas dies to start a marathon card making session. Good luck with the challenge. I really should start making a few a month, so I don't get caught out (like I usually do). I think my mother used every one of those sayings ... but funnily enough - I never used that many of them with my girls. Very odd! Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #13

Hi Shaz,
I have heard some of them and said some others on the list but the square eyes was a totally new one to me I had to laugh. :)
OOh I have seen similar stamps with a different word and I wondered about that ( if it would cut all the bitty pieces so, that is interesting to see its the outline cuts and the texture is a stamp ( joy word) :) ~Stacy #31

You have been pretty busy this week, haven't you, Shaz? I am pretty envy now, hehe. I have been reorganizing my creative place in my room all week and not all done as yet.

The "So, Do You Remember These Ones" list - well Some of it I remember :) but not the same in Danish.

Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs!!

Happy WOYWW

Pretty much the same as you on the sayings - including the 'father' one - my dad would never have shouted at me, I got away with murder with him. A maiden aunt used to take me to ~Morecambe every summer for a week with her and I remember some lady in the boarding house telling me to eat my carrots, I did not like her because I did not like carrots and I could not see any better when the light went out.
Sorry I am so late but back has been bad these past two days (having had two good days it came as a shock) so today is a sit and do nothing but type day.
Looking forward to seeing your cards for the challenge - `I would have thought 'just a word' lead to die-cutting. Therefore that die of yours is perfect. Please share when you have done it.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
Take care and stay well

I love those stamp and die sets! Whoever came up with that idea was a genius in my book. I only have 2 of the combos because I don't do any cardmaking really but I'm feeling inspired by your sets there! Gah! I knew it wouldn't end well looking at other people's desks... Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #23

Well done with your wonderful die cutting production line, Shaz! You are so prolific and efficient with your card making and the results are always awesome! Lol lol at the funny - oh yes, I remember them well! I'm always saying #17 to my hubby - I think he WAS born i a barn - the houses where his family lived were always freezing! #1 was a favourite of my mum's and it used to drive me nuts. In my hubby's family, #2 was always the answer to "What's for pudding?" so now, if there's a surprise pudding, it's always called "Wait and See Pudding"!

Thank you for your visit - I thought you might approve of my maxi dress! I've got my eye on some more goodies on Ebay and a few ideas for upcycling and renovation too. Ruby loves sitting on that rock - I think it's a good vantage point for looking around. Glad you enjoyed my organising pics this week! I'm already enjoying the benefits of the revamped pantry.

Happy belated WOYWW and hope you are well,

I love that 'joy' stamp, sounds great to use it 'white on white'. I had to smile over the last image, even in the Netherlands, these phrases (or equivalents of it) were used! Thanks for stopping by my blog last week, I'm rather late with visiting you back - it's Saturday already! Time flies... enjoy your weekend, hug from Holland, Marit #24

Hi Shaz! Sorry I'm so late, it's been a hectic week with hubby's surgery and all! He is recovering, slowly... My MIL used to say "who is she, the cat's mother?" all the time! I had never heard of that before! My mother never said any of those except "Don't sit too close to the television, it will hurt your eyes" I never heard the square eyes before! I love your Christmas cards, and I love the challenge this week. I peeked at the finished cards, and I love them all, but I especially like the JOY card! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #36
