Yes, made a batch of pieces from strips of card again. Mainly want to make some more general & birthday cards, but also had an idea to use them with some Memory Box dies I've had forever, and never used.
It's a Hanging Ornaments die, and the backing dies for the Baubles.
As always, Wednesday means it's link up time at Julias place, The Stamping Ground.
Came out well, but would have been easier to die cut if I'd made the pieces with card strips onto paper, or really thin card. I'd used leftovers from matt layers, so it was quite a heavy cardstock.
So that's pretty much all I've been up to, apart from drooling over a dress! Popped up in an advert on FB for a company we buy from, Rebels Market.
Now, I've been saying I need to lose some weight, I have too much stuff I can't fit into, and my Diabetes would no doubt improve from it too. So this is my motivation! I absolutely have to fit into that dress.
Which brings me round to.....And Finally.......
Think that pretty much covers it!

I know exactly where you are coming from with unused dies, I've recently come across ones I don't even remember purchasing (shameful!) Beautiful cards, your well on the way to getting through those Christmas cards.
I've seen that dress pic before, reminded me of a long velvet coat I had late 80's which my dog at the time ripped to pieces pulling it from the coat hook it was hanging from. Think she may have been after the cream egg that was in the pocket.. Hee hee!!

Heehee love the quote! And yes, I'd lose weight to get into that dress :D
Happy WOYWW!

Love the dress. Can see why you want it.
Those baubles are a fabulous idea. The cards look great and very professional. Did you dry emboss the backing card?
Hugs, Neet xx 2
The baubles look great - let me understand properly, the stripey papers are strips of paper you have glued onto a card? That was an industrious day!! They look wonderful. I have done it horizontally, the diagonal look is inspired. What can I say about that dress? Just so gorgeous!! Hope you get motivated to show us a pic with you in it!! Happy Weednesday, Cindy #17
I saw that dress advertised .... amazing creation!
Love the baubles using your strip card, very effective.
Have a good week and hold the dress in mind.

You make me feel nostalgic for Christmas, Shaz! You're certainly ahead of the game for Christmas 2019! My desk is permanently in a post tornado/ eathquake/ tsunami state LOL. Enjoy the lovely sunshine and thanks for your visit! zsuzsa #18
Hi Shaz, lovely cards and great striped papers.
I love that dress, great motivation for you, Kate x
Hi Shaz, the ornaments are beautiful but I take your point about the cutting and how it could be easier if it was thinner. The two dies look fabulous together. That dress is gorgeous and so reminds me that I really wanted to marry in black but bottled it at the last moment. Silly really - the photos would have been amazing. Loved your 'And Finally' again. PS: the EF, etc., on my desk is called Sweet Sentiments and it came with Issue 9 of Love Cardmaking magazine bought at Tesco's a few weeks ago. The publishing house is Practical Publishing.
laughing my head off at the sign and yes I would go along with it. My house constantly looks like a bomb has hit it even when ive not been crafting so ive no excuse

The bauble cards are stunning, and I agree that dress is very special! Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a great week. With love Caro x (#26)
I am so in love with that dress! The Christmas cards are great too and a good way to use up all that unused printed paper that takes up valuable space. Have a great woyww, what's left of it and a happy creative week, Angela x14x
HI Shaz, oooh what is the event you need that gown for?
and I love the scrap/stripe backgrounds you made. I keep trying to remember to do something like that but, the list of could do is always longer than the time available :) ~Stacy #24 (well, it sounded good on paper anyways that excuse)
So agree Shaz with your "AND FINALLY.." this week. I looked yest after I'd made on card. Id five seys of dies out.. and not just oit but dies pit of all of them..amd how many did I use? None of them but another set entirely.. yup! Then you see a crafter with a perfect desk.. not my style.
I've that die.
I LOVE those cards. Brilliant idea.
I too need to lose weight.. put 5 kgs on since saw you amd need to budge it. Hugs Shaz in Oz.x #8
Oh Shaz! Those are so gorgeous!! I love it. I think I have that ornament die somewhere. Hmmm...locating it could take a year! I will just sit and enjoy your beauties. The colors are so cheery and vibrant.
Thanks for the visit and I'm sending you blessings for the week!

Oh that dress Shaz, stunning - She does look about 6ft 6ins tall though! I love your dangly baubles - think Annie will be making fabric ones by the sound of her comment - clever thing isn't she. xxx Jo
Hi Shaz, sorry I'm late :o) What a great way to use those leftover strips, I've seen that done as backgrounds but never thought of diecutting them, looks really cool. I can definitely picture you in that dress, it's very you, go for it! Annie C #19
Sorry I’m late, again! That dress is stunning, I can so see you in it. I’m back on the diet wagon too, so please keep me enabled!! I love the strips idea...how did you join them if you didn’t lay them onto thin card then, just taped together? It must have taken ages, but they really look great die cut, I envisage words of course. Big ‘ups that would pretty much make a whole card, perfect.
I said it before and I say it again: I just LOVE your striped cards! And weight... ohmy... I never ever had problems with that until I turned fifty... now, 5 years and 10 k's later I should go on a diet too... there's indeed so many nice clothes in my closet that I cannot wear anymore. Thanks for your visit earlier this week, I'm late again with my woyww-visit-round... enjoy your weekend! Hug from Holland! Marit #15
Oh I definitely crafted! LOL Love that last saying. Those ornaments are awesome! What a great way to use up scraps. Dorlene #25
