Well, I don't know what it's like by you, but it's gone darned cold here!Staying inside, keeping snugly is the name of the game right now. So, time to link and visit at the Mother of Desks, Julia over at The Stamping Ground.
I'd seen one or two cards on Pinterest a while ago, featuring stamped scenes set behind a feather die cut, and kept the idea in the back of my mind. There's plenty of room, lol. I do have a feather die, but it's a bit too small, so I had a search amongst what I have, and came up with a Sizzix Birch Leaf die, amongst others. While looking for images to use, I came across so many UFO's it's shocking. This is only a small fraction. I need to get my butt in gear and turn them into cards.
The other thing I've been doing is scoring and folding a bunch of card bases. Sort of realised that 9 times out of 10, I use white bases, as that's mostly what I have ready made,so I have made a selection in various colours. Bet I never have the 'right' colour though!
Short and sweet this week. On Saturday we're off to a Papercrafts show at The National Motorcycle Museum, which is opposite the NEC. They have a big list of exhibitors, tickets are £4, and parking is free, so what's not to like? They have this 3 or 4 times a year, and have been meaning to visit for a while, but always forget. So, there may be goodies on my desk next week.😁
Which brings us to......And Finally........this week it's a cute!
EDIT:!!!!!
I was sent this info by another crafter last night.Apparently there are huge copyright issues with some stamps- both old & new- by Sheena Douglas. Due to this, crafters who own these stamps should not use the images on cards for sale/donation to charity until the issue has been resolved. Link HERE and HERE to the FB articles with more info.

those cards are so effective! I don't think I have any dies with big enough "spaces" or I would shamelessly take it - although I am still on the C card kick (finally got back to it at weekend) Hope you have a great time at the papercrafts show. Helen #??
Morning Shaz, I love this idea, I will have to give it a go myself although I may use a stencil to cut an aperture by hand instead. Look forward to hearing your report of the show £4 plus free parking is certainly a good deal. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Looking forward to your review of the show at weekend - sounds much better in price than the alternative (across the road).
Beautiful cards there Shaz, you do the most amazing scenics.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
The MCM is practically is very close to me but I have to confess I have never been, look forward to hearing your review of it Shaz.
Love those black apertures very effective.

Ending with the cute little photo ! Pretty die cuts and amazing amount of cards you've been working on. Keep warm and enjoy the Papercrafts show. Sounds like a fun outing. I've missed all of the Christmas Craft shows this year, so many other Life things and then 3 days of icy roads kept me home bound. Have a great weekend.
Hi Shaz Iris-sleeping-Mousey is oh so very cute.. and yes UFOs here too. I’m imoressed with the scene inside die cut shape there, looks great.
Hope you’re well and enjoy NEC and Papercrafts .. and looking forward tones stash. I’ve decuded I do NOT need any more .. surplus here!! Too much for one little crafter. Happy WOYWW.

Ps sitting in sleeveless summer dress with house open at 7.28pm, so def not cold here, but just nice actually a bit of spring rain is falling and very welcome.
Making cards with a die-cut front with a pic behind is something I keep meaning to do, Shaz. They look so cool! Awww to your little cutie - just adorable! My hubby met a very good friend of his, many years ago, at the Motorcycle Museum while I was at the Clothes Show in the NEC. (They had the costumes for The House of Elliott so that shows you how long ago it was!!) They both leant over in opposite directions to look at things and bumped bums, turned and apologised, started talking about bikes, went for coffee together and the rest is history! Shame they live in Norfolk because we don’t get to see them as often as we’d like.
Happy WOYWW,

I just saw your finished cards on Instagram, my word they are effective! and I do like the birch leaf die very much! I keep a big stash of cards for workshops although in the main they are white cream and Kraft. Coloured ones seem less popular these days; I tell them it’s because they’re too lazy to put an insert in, just a cut down piece of paper taped to the inside face, so it’s not a huge amount of work!
This show at the MMUseum sounds ideal, and frankly, any location is better than the NEC, it’s the parking charge that does my head in to be honest. We were up there last month for a woodworking trade show and we paid £15!
Ooooh, I LOVE this scenery in a cut out leaf cards and the trees one too. How lovely are they? Well done for using your WiPs too. I know what you mean about it turning chilly, it was colder when we got back to Wales than in Newcastle!! Have fun at the show, that sounds a much better deal than the NEC. To be honest, the cost is why I don't go to shows these days, I'd rather spend the cash on stash!!
Hugs LLJ 7 xxx
I'm here again with a copied and pasted comment I can add to to save me time sitting at the computer....hope you don't mind.
Much colder here too this morning and I'm sure it doesn't help the aches and pains. I love the scenery cut outs...but I'm with you with never having just the right colour.
Hugs,

Wow, what GORGEOUS cards!! You are SO talented!
Happy WOYWW:)

Wow Shaz, your cards are stunning - I love the whole aperture idea and you have some absolute beauties here - I do have a love of lime green so the star one particularly stood out for me when I first saw them but they are all fabulous. What a gorgeous die the tree arch is and I love the birch leaf - I would never have visualised using it like that.
Such an inspiring post this week and perfectly ending with the mouse in a Iris - love it!!

I know the problem... I may have folded cards or painted backgrounds ready to work on but it's never the right color *LOL* I could do with a sleeping mouse today... thanks!! And also thank you for your visit and "walking" with me today ;) I used to wear high heels a lot when I was young, even in this town (broke a heel of course!) but nowadays I stick with trainers and 'walking boots' also... I think it's the age ;) Happy woyww, big hug from sunny Middelburg! Marit #21
HAPPY WOYWDW Shaz, Thank you for you kind comment on my blog, your desk looks really busy

Love those cards - so different with the scenery just peeking through.
I won't be at the show this time, have to go to NEC to give out leaflets about Tyseley Polar Express Train rides..... not my choice as I had my trip to the MM all sorted but ....
Do enjoy the show, I love it there....

Hi Shaz, aww that mouse shot is so sweet. I love the peek through scene cards you have been making and I wonder if they have a list of which stamps not to use. ( I only have two or three of her designs) but, I do not know if I have anything made with any of them right now either. ~Stacy #25
Hi Shaz, Really fab cards.
Love the sleeping mouse.
Thanks or stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW.

Hi Shaz, how tiny is the mouse in the flower! You have some lovely cards to finish off,I really like the stampscape/scenic ones. Have a great time at the show. That's just a bit too far for me to go - maybe in the summer, who knows! Thanks for stopping by earlier. The Adirondack inks were an EBay bargain, I can't resist a bargain lol. Have a lovely week Heather x #9
The cards are a great idea, I've done something similar with circles and the like but the shapes make for more interest. I have to say that little mouse is so cute. I will be interested to know what you think about the craft show. Happy woyww, Angela x19x
Thank you for your return visit, Shaz. Yes, it's extremely frustrating about the pants. I shall report it all to the stoma nurse when I have my surgeon's appointment in December. By the time the next pair arrives, I shall have been wearing this pair for a month!!!!! Shoshi not nice to be near... The whole situation really is.........PANTS!!!

I love your Stampscapes cards looking through the die cuts - so beautiful! I love Stampscapes but haven't used mine in quite awhile. Too bad about the Sheena Douglas stamps. I could never understand why someone would make a stamp if they didn't want or expect it to be used. Oh well...Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful week! Lindart #24
