WOYWW #387

Yep, it's Wednesday again.Time for linking up with Head Desker Julia over at The Stamping Ground.
That pictures a bit of a shock to the system, isn't it?
I decided yesterday my desk needed a clean up and clear out.
My UFO box has been sorted- I separated out all the stuff into various piles, then put them in those little plastic wallets you can get from Poundland, or Tesco.
On the mat are the latest and last batch of cards made with the Memory Box Happy Birthday die, which are all in the three previous posts, as I managed to make a few variations.

This is what's going on right now- punching out a load of flowers for a project I have on the go. Can't show it yet, as it's a gift for someone.

They are all laid out as I sprayed the pearl papers with some Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle, to give them a bit of glitz. It's sort of a varnish, with Iridescent sparkles in, so they're a bit sticky at this point.

These are all leftover die cuts, that I'll save for another time, I think I got a bit carried away with the cutting!. Great thing about this die- you can get a decent card just by putting that die cut straight onto a card base without doing anything else to it.
The finish up from last week. My extra pouches arrived, so I got everything sorted and labelled. They all fit easily into an A4 size Really Useful Box now, and I've just stood some TH Bigz dies at the front to keep them upright. Takes up so much less room than all those folders.
Home made dividers, from some thick card, and labelled with contents.

This Sunday we are off to the NEC for the Hobbycrafts fair, so no doubt there will be a few new goodies to show next week.
So that's me all done, exceptionally short and sweet from me this week. Have a great day, see you later!

I'm off to the NEC on Sunday too - can you wear a purple rose or a big badge so I might spot you - is the hair still pink? I'm a bit of a hobbit so you could miss me. I will be meeting my friend Pat at Spellbound Beads who gives us things for Marie Curie. Say hello to her and have a great time x Jackie #16

That die organisation is brilliant, Shaz - definitely the best I've seen yet. Tidy but you still have access toeverything :-) That's a whole heap of flowers you've been doing! I look forward to when you can do the grand reveal....and the project too, lol!! ;-D
Have a wonderful time at the NEC, I think you need to attach Boudicca style knives to your scooter wheel hubs, you'd definitely get to the front of the queues quickly that way!

Ha - a tidy desk from you! Not lots of cards! Are you feeling ok....? :-O

I'm intrigued by the flowers and wondering if it might be a similar project to something I got Livvy doing for me a while back before she got bored. It involved a lot of pins.... LOL

Thanks for stopping by (and that reminds me to go looking for pouches from that link you gave me last week...

Good Golly Miss Molly - you certainly have been busy - first of all with the tidying up and then with the card making. I am looking forward to seeing what you make with all your glittery flowers another week.
I donated my die cuts (a drawer full of left overs from show dems and things I have done at home) to a friend yesterday who will make them into cards for her brothers nursing home. I know I would never have got around to using them.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me, Neet xx

Your desk does look tidy! I thought I was doing good tidying up the little I did but you put me to shame! That's a lot of flowers you got cut out there. Hope you have fun at the NEC show. There's bound to be a lot of good stuff to choose from.

Ooh now that's my sort of organising - there's nothing more satisfying than sitting back and looking at a beautifully organised box of crafty stash in my opinion (well, perhaps a large piece of cake and a good book come close!). I hope you have fun at the NEC and come back with lots of lovely goodies to show us.

Thanks for your visit earlier, the quilling didn't happen so will try again next week!
Love that die - if you have any leftover leftovers I will take them off your hands at the Crop if that's ok.
Have a good week

Shaz, that sorting is fabulous, storing dies seems to be a never ending problem. I#m glad you have cracked it, however it seems you have bought up amazon's entire stock of Avery Elle Rubber Stamp and Die Storage Pockets as they are out of stock and they don't know if they will get anymore.
Like the tidy desk but if you are like me, it won't last.
Have fun at NEC, would love to go but we are supposed to be downsizing, not buying more.
Thanks for visiting my desk, our moving problem is not really our problem it is our buyers' buyers, got a mortgage then had it withdrawn because of some very technical issues and they are trying to get another mortgage.
I'm sure it will happen eventually.

Oooh what a tidy desk! The quest to store all those leftover bits just goes on and on doesn't it? I'm feeling pretty virtuous 'cos I have used nearly all of my white card 'bits' up this week cutting foliage out. Once I started to look (a miracle by itself as I do tend to just grab a fresh piece of card) I was amazed how much I had. Just the 150gsm or less left now. Have a great time at the NEC - between you and me, I would rather be there than a draughty church hall this weekend!! Happy WOYWW Cindy xx

:) I don't know that I remember seeing your desk so clean and tidy ( I bet that felt great while it lasted ) ( guessing by now you are creating again.) that is a lot of blooms. I think I have one word die somewhere that is kinda like that and I hardly ever use it because, I keep thinking I have to go look and see where it is supposed to go. ( to use it) with the letters only cutting partially they stay in a line on the bottom of the word I think. I think these ones you have look way more user friendly. thanks for sharing that Shaz, and have a good week! ~Stacy #51

Hi Shaz, what a lovely tidy desk you have. I'm impressed. Especially that you have sorted our your UFO's. And your die storage is looking equally impressive. Enjoy your trip to the NEC. I expect it is much bigger and better than ours in the SECC which seems to shrink year on year. Very few of the big names bother to come up here now and I think they are missed. However, the smaller local (by that I mean Scottish based) do a sterling job so shouldn't complain. Wishing you a very good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #35

A clean desk is always more fun for me. I can't stand having piles all around and my space shrinking and vanishing all the while. Love the flowers all sparkly and pretty! Thanks for stopping by!
