WOYWW #587- The Almost Crafting Edition

Wednesday again, doesn't feel like a week ago. And I'm really pleased with myself for keeping up with what day it is, despite a bank holiday! As always, time to meet up over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, for our weekly desk tour. Top pic is my desk right now, planning on getting some birthday cards made, so I have card & inks at the ready. I'd have actually started, but spent yesterday finally getting our planters replaced & filled at the front of the house, and today my back & butt are telling me it wasn't a good idea!

This pic is some ATG refills I ordered from Amazon, which arrived today.£24 for 12, a generic brand, which is way cheaper than the brand name refills, which seem to be in the £4 a roll price range, and these had good reviews.

They look pretty much the same, so fingers crossed.

Not finding it easy to place pictures exactly where I want them with this new Blogger software, hope they sort that out.

And thats it for me today, just leaves......And Finally...........

I don't blame you getting a generic version instead of the branded one if the price is so different Shaz. Hope you manage to get some crafting done and that your rear and back are feeling less sore soon. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

HI Shaz, that is significantly cheaper than the 3M version isn't it? I'll be interested to see how you get on with it - a couple of the reviews mention needing an adapter for 1/4", but I thought the branded version was 1/4" anyway?? Lovely collection of Distress Oxides you have there, I love using them or blending. I still love the original Distress Inks too, the way they're vibrant but transparent, but no one seems to demo those any more. Wish you coudl get the Oxides in the mini version too, but I think I heard that they can't do it with Oxides for technical reasons or something. Anyway, have fun gettign stuck into your birthday cards, I'll look forward to seeing the results next week :) Annie C #16

Ha, the And Finally made me laugh out loud!! (A) because I don't make lists and (b) am not planning anything, just winging my way through life - it's marvellous!! Wow, I know who to come to if I need ATG tape then, hope it works well and you don't end up cussing any time the spools need changing.... And I celebrate remembering things too, it's an achievement these days!!

Generic versions of most things seem to work so fingers crossed for your tape, Shaz.
I've had a right fight with the new Blogger this morning, but that might just be me. The family laugh and hide when I try to get on with technology!!
Have a good week

I'm late visiting today because I've had lots of customers all needing their sewing doing quickly so I had to get that done before I joined in the fun today.
I really hope your new tapes work well for you. The and finally made me chuckle.

Like the new tapes and hope they work well. I’m off to yet another zoom meeting so short and sweet today!

What a coincidence you talking about ATG refills!! They sound like great value. I think mine will be a good investment, I was getting through so many of the tape runners it was getting ridiculous! Lots of plastic waste as well. I do use old school DS tape but it is such a faff, and I like to keep the good red stuff for construction projects anyway. Yesterday's gardening is getting its own back on me as well today!! Have a great Wednesday, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #15

Hi, Shaz!

Nothing to post from me this week. Still chasing the water leak and damage in our basement. This downstairs is where my craft room and bedroom are. Boxes and tons of books moved wherever there was an empty space. Makes walking a challenge.

For the life of me, I cannot make my large pink tape runner work! I still have lots of refills from my original purchase of the thing! It frustrates me so!
I do love your “mostly red” Christmas cards!

Be safe and Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn

I've never used that sort adhesive - will keep it in mind in case I need something like that. I normally use scor tape on the odd occasion, but it's so pricey! I'm not a big fan of the new blogger either -I just line up the photos one below the other to save the hassle. Thanks for your visit Shaz! Hope you're well. xx zsuzsa #18

Hi Shaz, thanks for the comment over at mine. The Kermit funny is good and I know how he feels! I have to say I'm still using the old blogger though I have tried the other one a few times but I still think it's a pain! The new tape looks good value, might have to look at that for the future. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww after you've had a good rest! Angela x10x

Kermit is great! I gave up my tape gun as I kept having it come off the track ~ user error I'm sure. ~ Enjoy your week

Thanks for the visit. I always love reduced prices ! And Kermit's a favorite !! Haven't figured out 1/2 of the new blogger, all the changes take time and I don't have a lot of that. Now dealing with another new replacement printer, never ending. Enjoy a great weekend Stay Safe and keep those cartoons coming.

Wow, that's quite a bargain for all that ATG tape, Shaz. Must look out for that. Three cheers for our Chief Enabler!! I hope you are feeling a lot better now. Love the funny at the end, especially as it's Kermit lol! (My Kermit says Hi!)

Happy belated WOYWW,

Blimey that tape does come up at a good price..I can use two over a retreat weekend of intensive scrapping, so they are definitely worth having in bulk anyway. Hope they perform as they should, cant see any reason why they shouldn’t. Go you with birthday card planning - I’m missing the workroom for card making - the stamps and inks and stuff are just too many to drag out to this room and then put back..decided instead to encourage Bart not to be put off buy bad weather for door replacing!

That’s a lot of tape but I’m sure you’ll put it to good use. I am also having a hard time with the new blogger but feel like it’s getting easier each time I use it. Sorry for the late reply, but it’s been a crazy busy week for me. Enjoy your weekend. Dorlene #26

Oh yes, don't we all wish we had someone to tackle the big to do list! I'm in awe of all those tapes, I usually can only afford one package at a time. I will have to look these up! Hopefully they work just as well. I have had so many cards lose their pieces over time, by not using good quality tape (actually most of the roll type tapes that I have tried have not worked well at all, except for the pink gun). Hope these are successful! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #24
