WOYWW #240

Good Morning everyone- heres hoping its not too wet/blustery where you are, and that none of you are affected by all the awful flooding. So back into it we go, Wednesdays popping up faster all the time, it seems. Our esteemed leader, Julia, is over at The Stamping Ground, awaiting your link, to display to the world your creativity and tidiness (or lack thereof!).

And here you have it, I'm having a go at week 2 of A Documented Life, and sticking at it for 2 weeks counts as a long term project for me,lol.
Inks, diary, sponges, pictures, and an inked sheet in the background. Towel on my chair, for drying rubber stamps after cleaning.

Now heres the inked sheet in the foreground, with some stencilled bits on it. And gessoed, to tone the colours down a bit. I Added the stencilling whilst the inked background was still a bit wet, and the colours were quite strong. I thought I'd ink a background sheet, as I didn't want the colour to keep seeping through onto other pages, as the diary paper is pretty thin.

This was it before the stencils/gesso, and next to it, my storage solution for stencils & masks. A document folder thingy from Poundland. Keeps 'em flat, and I get to see what I have. It has a sheet of white paper in each pocket, so you can put two masks in each pocket, one either side of the paper.
So thats my Wednesday Show & Tell, now its your turn.

Ok, I went and checked this "A Documented Life" out and I want to know, where is your selfie? LOL

It really does sound like a fun project and I like the blue background you have going.

You stencil storage is very clever, and I might just have to borrow that idea. File folders really do not work well!
Happy WOYWW

Hullo-oo there Shaz,

ah, love the inky delights on your desk today, aren't they wonderful?!!

Now great way to store them too, but as have s o few telling them apart at present not a problem. Don't have Silhouette either to cut more! but have plenty to play with :D

Keep safe and warm over there!

So inquiring minds are going to want to know if you are doing a selfie with this page or not? I like the colors you've used. This is why I'm not a true artist... I think if you want to tone the colors down why make them so vivid in the first place? Although I do know colors are not to be trusted sometimes. The stencil storage is a brilliant idea. I have a couple of them... in a drawer somewhere. Maybe.

Such lovely colours. I know a few people who are doing this challenge. I know I would fall off the wagon, probably before the first month was out!

Love those bluesy purples you've used, my favourite colours! Good luck with doing the challenge..I'm afraid that I'm the sort of person who would start out with the best of intentions but fail miserably after a few days! I know myself too well, lol :-)
You and Doug are very welcome to stay again, though I realise that your plans may change as Marg is coming too. I have promised a bed to Hettie again. But the offer is there :-)
Hugs, LLJ 2 xx

Great to see your DLP pages. I left the FB group as I couldn't cope with the numbers there. Love seeing everyone's front door, what a great prompt. Thanks for the visit yesterday BJ#21

Morning, Shaz. I had come to much the same conclusion about stencil and mask storage, as my collection grows, courtesy of Clarity. A lot of my Clarity stamps now come unmounted so that is more space saved. Glad to see your journal is still going. Mine is not even started. Thanks for your visit this week. I think Charlotte's card really expresses Christmas, and I had a lovely thank you card from her today, all hand made and written. Off now to nurse what looks like my second bout of cold symptoms, more lemon and honey and vitamin c. Hope you and Doug miss out on that gem. have a good week. xx Maggie #24

Hi Shaz,

Week two of A Documented Life! Thanks for the link. There are several WOYWWers doing this project. I'm going to go back to week one and see what I can come up with! I'm wondering if I can do the project without paying for the class?!? It seems they post the details....

I picked up an old daytimer from the thrift store a while back with the intention of messing it up - now I have a good reason.

Thank you for visiting me already. I'm slowly making it around to desks.

Happy WOYWW

Great colours, Shaz - very regal! You are brave and adventurous - I don't think I dare commit to anything at the moment. Getting through each day at a time is enough at present.
Thanks for your earlier visit, and your best wishes for my hubby. I passed them all on, and he proper perked up!
Have a great week.

Such pretty papers there that you made! Love the blue and purples! I hope you are faring well since you mentioned flooding. We had a blizzard and now are in a deep freeze (pipes froze Sat but thankfully with the help of a blowdryer all is well!) Thanks for the kind visit yesterday. Loving the Shadow inks, they are "mid tone" shadow inks which are working great for me as the other shadow inks were rather light in shade for me. Enjoy the weekend!! Winnie

Seems a TON of people I visit are in this Daily Life project. I like your stencil/mask storage, too. I'm always on the lookout for great storage ideas. I don't have enough masks and stencils to merit one of these yet, though.

I'm a bit late, but happy belated WOYWW from #5.

Two weeks is rather long term, to me anyway, I get bored or side tracked very quickly. LOL Enjoy!
Loving the colours you are using.
Happy belated WOYWW!

Oh my but I am late to the WOYWW party. But nice I got to see the next post as well. Well done you for taking on a project like this - I will watch and be inspired I'm sure. My sticktoitivness is rubbish so forgive me if I don't join in, but simply envy your resolve!

:)
