WOYWW #567- The Colouring Edition.

Well, as if the lockdown causing us to lose track of the days wasn't enough, now we have bank holidays sticking their nose in. Almost totally missed Wednesday this week, and that would be a Bad Thing, as this is the day we post desk pictures and share them with crafters worldwide, just as we've been doing for almost 11 years. What an achievement that is. I wasn't here right from the start, looking back I seem to have come on board around week 83. So, pop your link over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, and join in, please. We'd love to meet you.

Desk shot taken from the side, and yes, it's an unholy mess. Cards being stacked towards the front are some of the UFO's that got finished. Well, almost finished. Need inserts and envelopes, but closer to usable than they were a few days ago. And I have tidied a lot away now, as I wanted to stamp some more images to colour.

These are some coloured images, from the post below, I finished over the last week.

One thing I did learn, to colour with pencils, you need a really super smooth  cardstock. Which these weren't.  It was Smooth Stamping card, which is fine for stamping and blending ink on, or for using with markers, but not smooth enough to get a great finish with pencils.

Any surface texture does make it difficult to get a good smooth finish and blend.  So I wanted to stamp some more and I've tried the Super Smooth Lavinia stamps Multifarious card. I'll report back on the success level.

I've used some more of my Gorjuss stamps, to try this out, but it feels like it will work well.  I know the Gorjuss girls aren't everyone's taste, but I like the weirdness, lol. Stamped with Archival Black Soot.

I also came across this sheet of butterflies, a Visible Image stamp, and they're done on Letraset paper, which is meant for use with Promarkers. Also a sheet of Bauble images, that's an old stamp, no idea of the maker. The goth girl is also a Visible Image stamp, and she was done with Promarkers. Just needs finishing off, when I manage to do some skin colouring that looks semi realistic, at least!

And you have an enable free week again, as I haven't bought anything, so there's that.😁
But thats me done, just leaves.....And Finally........( And it's another twofer)

I've never said I was responsible.......

And this is surely true.😀

I think my car is probably getting five weeks to the gallon lol. Your colouring looks great Shaz, much better than mine in any medium. Will you ever get to the bottom of your UFOs? Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

thanks Shaz, you have solved my problem of not knowing why the pharmacy ewas not answering the phone on Monday! Easter, Lockdown and Bank Holidays just confuse folks like me. I should be able to cope as I am retired but I think the problem is the tv. My usual programmes are not being shown as per normal so they were my prompt to what day it was and now that has gone. Missing Casualty really threw me!
Love your Gorjuss girls, I like the images anyway but the way you colour them in is brilliant. I would never have thought they were done with pencils - remember you starting doing them at a crop we had and being amazed then.
Keep up the good work and thanks for all the #Cheers you have been doing. Much appreciated.
Stay safe and well the two of you,
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Morning Shaz. Laughing out loud re the car - and the answer? Most definitely! I filled up weeks back when I got home from visiting Mrs D... and the little red arrow has barely moved since. Means my budget for fuel is doing REALLY well! Great desk shot - so encouraging o see things everywhere - and I like the gorjuss girl pieces you have done. Well done.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

That’s an impressive amount of colouring, Shaz, and whatever you say about the difficulty of blending the coloured pencils, I think the standard of your colouring is awesome. Love the funny about the car! How true. One good thing to come out of this is that we shall save a considerable amount of money on petrol this month!

Stay safe and well, both of you, and happy WOYWW,

Lovely giggle at the end of your post and both brought a smile to my face. I am in awe of the number of gorgeous cards and colour you complete in a week. A bit of gardening and cleaning up in the yard has thrown my usual routine out of kilter. Stay safe.

Fabulous work going on here Shaz - what great colouring skills and I particularly love the Ipomea flowers on text - that is such a gorgeous stamp, as is the owl one too. You are doing a pretty good job of getting through your UFOs, are you seeing an end in sight yet!
Have a good week and stay safe and well,

Fuel sure is great value at the mo isn't it? I've not been in it for over a month now....just think of all the money that can go to new stash eh?
You look to have been making the best of your time with all your card making. I rather like the Gorjuss stamps...but then again I am pretty weird too eh?
Stay safe. Hugs,

Oh gosh yes my car hasn't moved in three weeks! My mileage is always low but this year it's going to be almost non existent bearing in mind we were already away for a month in February. I hadn't really thought much about paper quality for colouring - doh - perhaps that's why I don't always get a good blend with my prismas. My go to card is a silky smooth from Lime Tree Crafts but I often just stamp on scraps so heaven knows what I am using most of the time. Note to self to experiment when I have time. I love Gorjuss girls as well! It really doesn't bother me they just have eyes (I even like the prima dolls that have no facial expressions at all) though I know it creeps some people out. Stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #12

Ha ha Yes re the car - we do go out once a week but take it in turns with our cars so they get started up - dont have to go too far though.
Love your cards - they are beautiful.

I like the 'Corjuss' girls, but I do like weird things so that's no surprise *lol* I'm happy I find you creating and well, these are scary times. Have fun colouring (I hope it works smoothly now) and thanks for your visit earlier today. Love from Holland, Marit #21

I have to keep remembering to go out and start my old girl as I haven't used the car in weeks. I had a slight Sciatic problem with one leg about early February time so didn't go to the gym but that picked up ready for the skiing and then when we got back, just in time! everything kicked off and I've not used her since which is not good for a car her age or for the petrol either. Now I love your Gorjuss girl stamps and will be interested to see how you go on with the pencil shading, which I have always thought is one of the most difficult techniques to do well and you're right it needs lots of practice, holding the pencil correctly and the right paper. You might also look at the techniques of Burnishing, Colourless Blenders and some solvents can be used too. Good luck and have a lovely woyww, Angela x17x

Those Gorjuss girls are adorable! Your coloring looks great!
At the rate you've been going with your UFOs you should have them done soon!
Love the quotes but now that I've been called back to work I'm up to a 1/2 tank of gas a week. (I live 17 miles from work.)
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Thanks for visiting, Shaz - so glad you like my colourings. As for not leaving the house, I don't find it a problem but can sympathise with those who do! I have everything I need here and we are both enjoying being in our little bubble with the kitties! They really are funny. They haven't been near the wool box for days now!

Hello ! It's getting late, but have a few more visits to make. Spent the day rearranging a Collage area and worked muscles that have been idle for a time.
Love your little girls cards. I found a couple folders of stamped images so need to get the Pens/colors out and do up some. Like your little quotes toward the bottom. I haven't driven my car for so long gas here is 95 cents a gallon. Was $3.49 previous .But no one is going any where. Stay Safe
