WOYWW #537- The Still Sparkly Edition!

Mainly because, despite the whole house being vacuumed, I seem to have shed a light coating of glitter- or Fairy Dust as I'm now referring to it-everywhere.
This is the result so far though- a whole stack of glittered images. I'll show you some in close up in a bit. They're now all dry, and trimmed down. In most cases, what I'll be doing is stamping the image again onto cardstock, and heat embossing in Gold or Silver, before adding the glittered piece with silicone glue.

Some images, like this assortment of Poinsettias,Christmas Roses, Holly & Mistletoe, have a script background to them, which has been cut away. All these stamps are from Chocolate Baroque, and are quite a few years old now, but are still available.

You can buy them singly, or as a set of four. The sets are DL size.

These are some other really old stamps, I bought them dunno how many years ago now, from The Stamp Man, they were part of their own range, Aspects of Design, and were discontinued after one Christmas. I think one size of this is available as a Woodware Clear stamp, from back last year.

I trimmed away the words from the glittered ones, and again I'll stamp & heat emboss.

This 3 Wise men stamp is another oldie, so old it's discontinued. It was from Elusive Images, which eventually became Chocolate Baroque.

The one thing I may do is stamp some more snowmen, I only have a few, and they are so sweet.

And that brings this weeks desk to a close, except for linking up at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, and popping round to visit everyone.
So far, so good on the chemo. Definitely more tired, but not breathless like before, so it's looking like this might be ok.
Which just brings us round to .........And Finally........
This really made me laugh when someone posted it to FB yesterday!

Gosh you brought back some happy memories of when I worked for Paddy who was a close friend of Glenda (Elusive Images) so I met with Glenda on several occasions. Not seen her in a long time, the last time was her and Adrian in a queue at CHA and that is a while back.
Those images must have taken you ages, you have cut and coloured and sparkled them so perfectly. You put me to shame. They will all make wonderful cards for some lucky recipients.
Just keep sprinkling your fairy dust.
Hugs, Neet 1 (who is pleased your treatment is going well) xx

I Love that celtic candle stamp, so lovely - in fact, those stamps and dies may be old but there's plenty use left in them, I really like the images! I had to laugh at you covered in Fairy Dust, it was the same when I worked in school - I used to wonder how there could be glitter in my bra when I hadn't used any that day.... The AF made me laugh, so true!

I saw the 'and finally' on Facebook too and it really made me chuckle. It's so true.
What a glittery time you've been having this week. I've also been thinking of Christmas makes to use my new purchase for....but as yet not found the time to get creative.

It must be like Wonderland in your house with all that glitter around! I like a bit of bling myself - it makes everything look magical! Have a lovely week, Shaz, and thanks for your visit - you beat me to it yet again! xx zsuzsa #18

Hi Shaz. I really must start doing some Christmas stuff. I have friends......yes despite hiding at my desk so much I still have some friends Lol!! They want to make some Christmas cards and of course I get the job of getting everything ready. Lucky for me some of them have gone on holiday for a while so still have some time left, I must be mad for getting involved in this. The Choc Baroque stamps look familiar, I think I might have one set of those somewhere. The funny is a cracker and so true. I have nothing against phones as I use them myself but I hate it when people are walking through the shopping centre looking at their phones and expect me to wheel my mother round them. I fear one day I may run them over Lol! Have a lovely crafty week and a very happy woyww, Angela x10x

Those cutouts are fabulous and what a great way of using the stamps, you've given the images a whole new life. I love the celtic candles stamp too. The three wise men brought back memories as I had that stamp years ago - your beautiful and vibrant colours are making me wish I hadn't moved it on, but I went through a phase of trying to clear out stuff I hadn't used for at least a year, little thinking that after a few years break I might not feel that tired of it!!
Hope you have a good week and glad to hear the chemo is going well,
Hugs, Diana xx #14

I love all your designs, Shaz - they look so 3-D when they are cut out! I can imagine just how much "fairy dust" is around your house if you are doing so much glittering! That stuff gets everywhere. I expect it will be in your hair for weeks because it can stick even through washing! Your funny made me laugh out loud - brilliant!!! Must save that one.

Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed hearing about how my hubby and I met. It is rather romantic, isn't it!! I can't believe I've known him for 35 years... Where did all those years go? I shall continue to work on the tea bag problem and I am convinced I'll get there in the end! I hate to be defeated by such things.

Happy WOYWW,

PS I meant to say how much I like that Celtic design, how the candlesticks are interlaced at the bottom. It's beautiful!

Hi Shaz, I enlarged your pics and could see just how glittery your images are - very twinkly. I'd feel guilt for not using my, altogether too, large glitter collection but, as you say, it gets everywhere. I'll stick to glitter glue for now. I thought that cartoon was funny too! Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #19

Gosh Shaz, what a lot of lovely glittered bits you have there, all ready to make lots of cards. I try to get lots of bits done in advance, but I end up fìnishing cards one at a time, instead of getting bits prepared.
Thanks for visiting my desk and the nice comments

Hi, Shaz! I am visiting a fried in Idaho, where we used to live. So not much crafting. Lots of “hunter gathering” because I do not have any craft stores by me. I had to already mail a box of clothes home( the weather changed and I packed everything) and now I still will be paying an extra bag fee due to crafty goodness!
Love your three wisemen stamp!
And hopefully you continue to do well with chemo, getting stronger and feisty! Happy Wednesday!

Oh Shaz you do glitter sooooo well.
Love the wise men and Christmas roses, if they’re the white ones, stunning in particular, but so are all of them.
I can’t imagine doing all them. You’re really amazing.
I was all enthusiastic and bought glitter when you did some a few years back, still yet to be used as you do, although been pulled out fir other things!
Praying you’re ok dear Shaz with current treatment regime?
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20

Great re-start to the chemo, glad to hear that. You’ve been busy. I wonder if all the glitter you must be breathing and wafting will show up in your blood tests and scans!! Fairy dust my a***. It gets everywhere. Liking the amount of stuff you’ve got done though, and how you’ve adapted those stamps from the text..I guess all that cutting at least keeps you sitting still and sort of restful.

Your stamping and illuminating work is marvelous. I admire people that start working on Christmas cards early, but I just have a hard time doing that. Happy belated WOYWW!

Wow - they look fabulous, you can never have too much glitter at Christmas! You've inspired me to get glittering now.

So glad to hear the chemo seems to be doing it's job! I think it's a great idea to stamp a bunch of Christmas images, cut them out and colour them, ready for mounting...perhaps I will steal that one! I really like the Celtic stamp! Thanks for your visit, and Happy Belated WOYWW! Lindart #25

It's been a sparkly week for us both then - I puffed silver/blue edible sparkle onto Ben's cake to make it look like metal. I didn't realize quite how far a little puff would carry the sparkle. Kitchen unit glows at night - lol.xx

Thanks for reminding me to take another look at my stamps and see parts that can be cut away for an entirely new look. Glad this round of chemo is going better, you've been in my thoughts. Absolutely love your 'and finally' cartoons and jokes. They've brightened my mood more times than I care to admit.
