WOYWW #531- The Blatant Enabling Edition.

I have to admit the truth, this is definitely the most  Enabling edition ever. Totally because I have been so totally crap for the last week, I've literally done nothing but read, watch craft videos, and a bit of colouring. After spending most of last Wednesday in A&E, having nebulisers, along with some IV antibiotics & steroids, everything was too much effort. The breathlessness has just- marginally- started to improve, and hopefully the tiredness will lessen a bit now. I still feel yuck, but the good news is that this weeks treatment has been put off, and I get to see the Oncologist on Monday morning, because as I feel right now, there's no way my body could tolerate another treatment. The effect is cumulative, and two have totally wiped me out. So we'll see what Monday brings.
 Anyway, the enabling!
An online trip to CraftStash got me these goodies.  Four new to me Oxide colours, a set of Christmas stamps with a really nice script, and some dies. The Christmas sentiment ones are all in the £3-£4 range, and you get the words, underline and shadow dies.
I saw a card done using the bauble die in gold on white, and it looked stunning.

Flipped them over here so you can see what you get. The words are 1.6cm high, or  ⅝", and the longer words are 11-12 cm, the Noel is 3.5.

And that really is all there is from me this week. As always, I'll be leaving my link at Auntie Julias place, The Stamping Ground, and visiting you all later on.

Which just leaves..............And Finally.....................

Sorry you are feeling so poorly Shaz. Hope after you have seen the consultant that there will be a better plan in place. Nice enabling, I was rather tempted but I am resisting like mad at the moment as I am planning a splurge at the retreat. Happy (happier) WOYWW. Sarah #10

I'm sorry to hear that the treatment has had such a massive effect on you Shaz...hope the consultant can suggest something to help. Sending huge hugs to you - you keep resting up and getting better.xx. I do like reading about your enabling especially as there's no chance of me spending anything as it's not my thing! So very sorry to hear how your treatment has wiped you out this time. Really hoping you're feeling much better very soon.
Your 'and finally' made me smile because for weeks I did resist to buy fat quarters in Aldi's when we shopped but they were eventually reduced to half price so as you can imagine the temptation was just too much and I bought two packs....well, you just have to don't you?
Hugs,

Well, first of all I must say how sorry I am you have been feeling so "xyz", just hope that this coming week brings a better Shaz - need it good for the special day! I know what you mean about watching tv, do you know I am fed up of watching 'Four in a Bed' and 'Antique Road Trip' and have even started watching 'Homes Under the Hammer' but for some reason I don't watch the craft channels. Unless I know one of the peeps that are on - like Tracy was on the other week, and I love watching Abs and Andy.
Never apologise for enabling - I love seeing what you have sniffed out for us. Great buys as always but as I have just sent for more stamps and bought the set of Tracy Easson's I dare not spend any more money.
Take care my lovely, just do as your body tells you and rest when it says so, mum always said sleep was a great healer. So give in.
Hugs, Neet 1 xxxx (extra this week)

Hi dearest Shaz. Doing all those who are pop comment boxes will do embedded comment boxes tomorrow when not so tired.
It’s very late here. Should be off but don’t want to be bad like last week.
Sad re nausea (I get it a lot, esp when not well times) it’s the pits but the exhaustion of struggle to breath is worse. Praying the can go back to less aggressive but equally beneficial form of chemo for you, dear Shaz. Thanks for updating.
Enabling, nope can look but most def. can’t buy. ... for a lonnnnngg time. Too many NBUS!
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20

Hi Shaz, a bit of on'line therapy always makes you fell a bit better. Loving the round die especially. Finally! well I just wouldn't bother with the bit in the middle cos I know it's a waste of time trying! If you've not used the Press and Seal I think you might like it.....I just need to get my finger out and do something! Have a lovely week and a happy woyww, Angela x15x

I'm so sorry you are not well, not fun at all. But your trip to the online craft store must have made you forget for a little while! Great choices! Have a much better week this week, Lindart #23

Oh dear, Shaz, it's not so good that you are still feeling so bad. Hope your oncologist has some good news for you, like, you don't need to have the third treatment so that you can get better. You weren't the only one treating yourself from CraftStash this week - I resisted the Oxides but blew my pocket money on a stamping platform instead. I like your choice of stamps/dies - the sentiments are lovely and will be very useful too. Hope you're feeling better soon. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21

So sorry to hear that the treatment has had such a horrible set of side effects for you and really hope that the Oncologist comes up with an alternative plan for you. Sorry to hear also that everything tastes meh - hope that side effect eases off soon. Thanks for the enabling and I just love your 'And finally'! Take care and have a good week. After reading your post I was thinking... resistance is futile. I remember something like that on Dr. Who. Anyway, I'll be praying for you. Hang in there, friend!

I don't call you an enabler, Shaz, I call you a Temptress lol! I am so sorry you've been feeling so poorly. The breathlessness is an extremely unpleasant side effect of the treatment and I do hope it gets better soon. It's good that they are keeping a good eye on you, and are prepared to adjust the treatment schedule to take account of all this. When I was having mine, they monitored the peripheral neuropathy closely because it was a real problem for me, and of course I've been left with residual PN in my feet, fingertips and some nerve damage to my bladder. Chemo is sooo horrible! Sometimes it's good just to let go and rest, watch TV, and not try to do things. Your body tells you what it needs.

Take care of yourself my friend,
Hugs and happy WOYWW,

Ooops - so caught up in your post that I forgot to say thanks for visiting, and for your good wishes for my appointments tomorrow. It will be strange having a CT scan lying on my tummy. I'm glad you like my pantry. Despite being able to see everything, I still can't find things!

Such a good enabler you are too! I hope you are breathing easier and feeling stronger. It is 105*F here. A weather warning for dry lightning and fires tonight. And I also hope you have a/c.

I hope you are feeling a bit better Shaz - what a time you have had. Annie and I were thinking of you last week and both send our love. Your "and finally" is such a perfect one for us weak willed crafters! xx Jo

Sorry I’m late Shaz. Very sorry to read that the treatment has floored you, damn damn damn. Hopefully a week or two off a session and your body will have the strength to fight back. I hope so, if only to prevent you hitting the web and finding stuff for us all to buy! I know you do as your told and Doug looks after you wonderfully, so...be patient! Xxxx
