WOYWW #532- The Birthday Edition.

Mine and Beloved Hubbys, that is. Yep, same day. Does sort of rule out the chances of forgetting, lol. Not a lot being done, still feeling stupid tired, although the breathlessness is improving. So, I'm afraid I have nothing to show except a teeny bit of enabling,😀.
The Sizzix die & embossing folder  are from their still ongoing sale, the Stamps by Chloe die set does have a stamp set to go with it, still waiting for that.

Also came across this happy looking snowman, by Two Jays. I do have a couple of snowmen stamps, but one of them looks decidedly sinister!

Trust me, there will be more serious enabling to come- Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous have new stamps out, there is a fab Skeleton Leaves one, and Toadstool clumps, and Lavinia have new stamps coming out on the 22nd, with loads of dragons amongst them. Really hoping I'll feel more like crafting soon, have lots of things I want to do, just completely can't be bothered right now.
Leaving my link over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, as always on a Wednesday.

Which brings me to the health update. Saw the Oncologist on Monday, and to be honest, he was a little surprised by how it's affected me, as apparently these problems crop up more often with people having the IV and tablets version. So, here I am, keeping to my 'Don't be normal' system.😉
He suspects I may have some tiny blood clots on my lungs, as the breathlessness & tiredness came on suddenly, rather than gradually. He knows there  are no big ones, as nothing showed up on the chest x-ray, but he said tiny ones often don't show on them, and he's organising a specialist scan to check. He's also given me some blood thinning medication- anyone know those pre-loaded syringes you have to jab in your tummy?- so I have those to use twice a day for two weeks, just to be on the safe side, and we're having a treatment break while he gets to the bottom of it. He also said they start the IV dosage at 100%, but they can cut that down if  it seems to much for the patient, so when we restart it'll be a reduced dosage.

Which just leaves...................And Finally................................................................( and will most likely not contain a single vowel!)

Happy Birthday to you both. Love the stamps etc. I have had to give myself the heparin injections, here is spain they always prescribe them after ops. Took courage to stick the needle in my belly at first. Hope they get to the bottom of your problems soon. Ani (not contributed yet).

As for the and finally I should imagine that the word 'like' will feature prominently too. Happy birthday both of you. Hope they manage to get to the bottom of the breathlessness and that you are feeling up to crafting soon. I am sitting on my hands regarding the new TH stuff. I have five of his stamp folders crammed full so can't really justify gettingmore although the skeleton leaves were very tempting. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #9

Good Morning Shaz. Sending Birthday wishes to you and Doug. Love the enabling and like you there is so many lovely new stamps around just now, but I only need to look around my shelves and that stops me buying too much. Sorry to hear your feeling poorly again, but hopefully the treatment they are offering will help sort it out. Have a Good Week my friend. Hugs Rita xxx

Morning Shaz - and Doug! Happy birthday to you both. I trust the day will be special for you. It's my elder daughter's birthday today as well - so CELEBRATE! I haven't managed to catch up properly whilst being away - no internet when in the caravan - but I'm sorry this round of treatment is causing so many problems, and I do hope they get it all sorted soon. I can fully understand you have no energy or concentration for crafting. Just relax - you'll get there!
Looked at your "and finally" and my first thought was to chuckle - but then I realised how incredibly sad it made me as well - this desire to re-write the truth out of history - sorry!!
Anyway - have a good day. Take care you two lovelies. God bless.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both! I know you won't be gallivanting too much as you're not on top form but I hope that you enjoy the day, whatever you get up to. Trust you to be presenting unusual symptoms (!), the specialist sounds a good person, hope all the new scans/meds have a speedy result. The new stamps sound interesting - the dragons will be well used, for sure!

Happy Birthday to both you and Doug Shaz, it's an extra special day when you share it with a beloved. Sorry to hear your still feeling tired but it's understandable, just be easy on yourself your crafty haven is waiting patiently with you. (((Hugs)))
I was dreading seeing your crafty buys this week, i'm trying to be so good as I need to save for other things. There has been so many reductions on Sizzix/TH dies recently. I've still have ones from last year untouched & cut that I paid full price for grrr!!
Wishing you both a wonderful Birthday together & take care Hugs Tracey #14
P.S and finally as we watch this generation.. it's all being rewritten on an iphone hee hee!!

You share the same birthday- what are the chances? Well, 365:1 exactly! Did you take it as a sign when you first met? Happy birthday to you both! It's good you found a happy snowman to replace the sinister one - although that might have its own merits too! Poor you, I don't think I could stab myself with a needle in the tummy twice a day! I guess the first time is the hardest and then it gets easier and later you just do it as a matter of course. Hope it helps with the symptoms and the treatment is working overall. Best wishes, zsuzsa #19

Happy Birthday to you both. Card went in the post last night, sorry I doubt it has arrived in time but I was thinking of you and Doug this morning. Best of wishes to you both for a lovely day.
Yes, about tummy jabs - is it heparin? I had a session with those for my heart when I was first diagnosed with AF and I have a mark on my tummy to prove it. One of the little blighters marked me! They were painful from what I remember but I know people who have had them and they didn't hurt, hope yours are ok.
So sorry you are not up to crafting, try to do a bit of colouring, it helped me and I am slowly getting back into my crafting when I can. Just hope this breathlessness gets under control quickly, nothing worse.
Thanks for the enabling - just worried about your health report - its not like you to be so tired and out of sorts in general. Did this start at the Crop? I felt you were not yourself that day.
Fingers crossed for better news and happy birthday again.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Happy Birthday to you and your hubby - I hope you have a lovely day together. I must also say a big thank you for pointing me in the direction of the Sizzix sale a few weeks ago - I found several dies that I've wanted but couldn't really justify them at full price, but I got them at an absolute snip. Thank you so much.
I'm sorry to hear you are going through the mill with things at the moment - it sounds like you are keeping the medical teams on their toes by not letting them put you in the 'normal' box! I hope you begin to feel better soon and get back to enjoying some crafting.
Hugs, Diana xx #17

Oh my gosh SHaz, I was hospitalized here with blood clots on my lungs last week.
I don't know if they have this and or if it can be done for you and I don't know the name of what they did to me is called but, I had some tubes with metal rods inserted into a vein in my lungs and then they do a supersonic vibration thing while major drugs to dissolve what breaks off from that are dissolved. (and you have to lay totally flat without moving for about 14 hours for this so, its pretty creaky feeling in your back by the time you can get up again) but, then they take that out, and you walk around feeling like a new person. then they go back in from a top vein and in my case the clot is behind my knee so, they put in a filter screen into the vein to prevent anymore from traveling back to my lungs or heart and I get to take blood thinners for 3 months maybe 6 months until the clot is gone then they will go back in and remove the filter screen.

Girl if you stop breathing get your rear end to the ER and do not wait or mess around. ( they told me I was one more piece away from lights out when I went in) ((( HUGS ))) ~Stacy

Happy Birthdays! You're right. No one should forget, but you could count backwards, maybe...
I got some of the WOW embossing powder and just yesterday received Chloe's new magazine and the extra stamp. Take care and don't over-do. Happy Wednesday!

Happy birthday to you both, pretty neat that you won't forget each other's birthday. Sorry to read you're not 100%, and the treatment is wiping you out. Fingers crossed things improve for you soon. Love your shopping goodies, and the info on all the new stamps coming out - just as I've convinced myself not to buying more crafty stuff lol. Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #25

A very happy joint birthday to you and Doug, Shaz. I'd forgotten about you two sharing the same birthday! I am glad to hear your breathlessness is somewhat improved, but the fatigue is par for the course with chemo, I'm afraid. That stuff wipes you out... They discovered numerous small pulmonary emboli in my lungs with one of my routine CT scans and they put me on Rivaroxaban to deal with them. They came as a surprise for me because they were asymptomatic. The injections you speak of sound to me very much like the fragmin they give you post-operatively to prevent clots. That stuff stings like the blazes. I hate needles (should be used to them by now, you might think!) and could never inject myself, so after all my surgeries, the district nurse has had to come and do it for me! Also, I had them in my legs rather than my tummy which has had more than its fair share of interference, thank you very much!

Love your funny which raised a wry smile. How very, very true!

Thanks for your visit. I agree with you about the lack of communication and was surprised that his specific instruction seemed to have got lost along the way. I hated having to assert myself like that but it did feel good that it worked, and the right thing was done in the end. Not my best hospital experience. I prefer Torbay any day - that place is special!

Hope you continue to improve, and will soon start to feel better. How much more chemo are you having? Try and rest all you can and let the world go by for a while! It doesn't matter if you can't be bothered to do anything!

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #18

OMG Shaz, you may well be so right about the history thing. I just tried to write a few words to you without vowels but my tablet keeps auto correcting and that makes it even more stupid!! I was trying to say..bloody hell, even prescribed Chemo is a bit of trial and error isnt it. AMazed that after the first one you felt OK and then its just taken one more to floor you. I hope the little tummy jabs do the trick...I remember those from Neuro ward days post op; they never believed me but they used to make me really giddy and light headed for a good five minutes after. Sorry that you dont feel like doing anything, it will pass and it gives the rest of us a chance to catch you up! Be taking care and doing as youre told, won’t you. Xxxxxx

I will have to check out Lavinia when the new stamps come - I love dragons! Hoping you can figure things out healthwise, I am in a similar situation at the moment, although with another part of my body! Thanks for the You Tube advice, have a great week! Lindart #26

It's always special when I see your comments but now it's extra special because I know you aren't feeling 100%. Continue to heal my friend because I can't wait to see what you do with that stocking!

Hi Shaz,
I’m late, very but wot’s new!!??? Hohum, so understand the not feeling like it, never had chemo but had lots of unwellness and doing even basic bare necessities were an effort. I’ve had those needles post op in hospital, also been on trials for meds which were daily administrated in tummy .. I may be able to go back on those meds as though trials they’ve allowed them on PBS meds gov subsidised, will see when next go to Syd I think. In late Oct. God willing, it will be so!
Mm cute snowmen, but as we don’t do snow don’t really use them, think have used LOTV card toppers but that’s all. Love the sound of the toadstools though, fungi fascinate me, so pretty some of them.

Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too. Praying daily Shaz esp mercy lower dose chemo helps, pray scans bring further clarification.
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
