WOYWW #498- The Almost Christmas Edition

Well, just a few days away now, so to all my blogging friends, a very Merry Christmas. We both send you all lots of love, and wishes for a peaceful Christmas with your loved ones. As always, linking up with Julia over at  Santas Grotto, The Stamping Ground, for the last before Christmas blog hop.
Not much happening desk wise to be honest. Mainly been used for present wrapping the last few days.

Just some of them wrapped and bagged ready for delivering to family.

After that, my desk got it's - probably annual,lol- clean up.
The blue mat is some of that rubber non slip liner- from Poundland- that stops my craft mat sliding all over the place.

Then it was returning all the important stuff back onto it. I must say, I love those revolving caddy things. Not something I would have bought at one time, but the white one I was gifted, and I was amazed at how useful it was. So amazed, I bought myself a second. In black.😀
My laminator stood on top of a block of wooden storage boxes there too.
All ready for action again.

I did buy myself a couple of new Gelli plates, both off Amazon, and way cheaper than I found them in crafting stores.

Bought a round one, and a 5x7 one. The one I have is a 6" square, and I really enjoyed playing with it, so looking forward to some creating time with these.  Again, it was only because I was gifted the square one that I tried it out, unlikely I'd have bought one myself, to be honest.

THIS LINK, is to a video that was on Facebook, making Christmas ornaments from glitter foam. They are absolutely fab, and well worth a look.

A huge thank you from us both to everyone for the wonderful selection of Christmas Cards that have been dropping through the letterbox.

And so, thats me done for another week, and indeed almost another year.

Just leaves.....And Finally.......

Merry Christmas Shaz (and Doug). Love the before and after shot of the desk. Will have to check out the gel Press plates on Amazon as I'd quite like a larger round plate myself. Happy WOYWW too. Sarah #4

Great funny pic at the end.
I won one of those revolving things in white - how I wish it was black, it looks so grubby but I never have time to repaint it. My desk is a mess at the moment - once more awaiting the socket being fixed to the wall, please let it happen today!
Good luck with the new Gelli Plates - I should use mine more often but need to dedicate time to it as my crafting room is small and the worktop area is littered with necessary boxes!!!
Oh for elastic walls.
Happy Christmas to you and Doug - see you Port Sunny?
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

A desk clear, wow that’s a great Christmas presssie, maybe I should replicate!! 😁 but prob not, at minute anyway. Boxes must be cleared still two one from craft room and one from bedroom not done, that’s project 1 and make good start on next year’s cards!
Love the look of these gelli plate, I don’t use amazon cos they won’t use PayPal and had card hacked once though online account at a most inconvenient time form unknown site, so wont buy where they don’t use PayPal.
Mm caddies look grand too. Happy WOYWW and happy Christmas too, to you and Doug!
I hope mycard is there soon or by now! Thank you for yours,

PS Thank you for your gorgeous card, it's in pride of place on our door gallery! I've enjoyed making a few cards this year, nothing earth shattering and involving lots of glitter...a win-win in my eyes :-D.
Love ya, LLJ xxxx

Wow, talk about a tidy desk, Shaz! I don't think mine has had a "spring clean" like that since it was installed. Thanks for the info about the gel plates - just been on Amazon and added one to my wish list. It's something I've thought about doing for years but not got round to - the proprietary brand is soooo expensive. I've never known anyone like you for finding a bargain! Great stuff. I love love love the funny and have sent it to my hubby! I forgot to add one this week so perhaps I'll go back and put one in now, before too many people visit me!!

Happy WOYWW,

Love your beautifully clean and tidy desk, especially the first two pics - just how I like mine to look!
Thank you for the beautiful card - I love it, and it has pride of place on the mantlepiece - very few make it to that prestigious place!
Hope you have a lovely Christmas,

I stop by for the last time this year to say hello and wish you happy holidays. Wow, what a shiny desk you have there now, curious to see how long it lasts *grin*... I too love my, what'ya call it, "revolving caddy thing" - it's very handy indeed! Love from Holland, Marit #22

Hi Shaz. Oh my - I needed warning - that desk looks simply amazing! Well done you! Mine's still in work mode... serves me right for suddenly deciding to make some bits so everyone had a present under the tree!!!
I love the "and finally"... my friend up here has two dogs... one barely out of puppy stage. They decorated their tree, and went to bed. By the time they came down the following morning - carnage! All the decorations had been removed from the tree and were rolling around the floor!!! Hmmm... They decided to leave the tree with just lights until said dog was older - until I took some spare decorations down the church last Saturday for the party - and have taken all my spare bows to decorate with!!!
Have a fantastic Christmas.
Take care. God bless you both.

I love that decoration photo.......
Have a good Christmas, warm, peaceful with plenty of food.

Hi Shaz, I thought you'd been burgled and they'd taken all your crafting things:) LOL

Hi Shaz, if my desk wasn't looking so clear I'd be suffering desk envy right now. Your desk looks so tempting. I'm clearly out of the loop - I didn't know there was such a thing as a round Gelli plate. I think I need to watch a few more YouTube videos to bring myself up to scratch. The Christmas ornaments made from glitter foam - something else I knew nothing about - are beautiful. I think my late Bonnie must have been the only cat on the planet who showed no interest in the tree and all it's bright baubles, lol! Have a wonderful week and a very Merry Christmas to both of you. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

Oh yes!!!! that funny with the cat image is the best! I have a friend whose cat regularly tried to climb their tree, I always thought it would be better to keep it down than to keep picking it up. Now the Gelli Plates......Guilt! massive guilt. I must make more use of these next year, come to that all those things that have not seen the light of day for ages. Anyway...Just want to wish you both the best for Christmas and hope it's full of fun too. Thank you for all the great comments and wishing you a lovely woyww, Angela x17x

LOL Oreo pretty much leaves the ornaments alone, thank goodness. I don't think I've seen your desk from this angle before - it looks so inviting! Those caddies do look very useful - you can not have enough storage, that's for sure! Wishing you and Doug a wonderful Christmas! See you again on Boxing Day, probably! zsuzsa #20xx

I giggled so hard over the ending joke you have this time around Shaz, my friend at work just rescued another kitty recently and I had asked how he was doing around the holidays and he seems to be fine, and well behaved.
Oooh I love how big your desk is, I think this is the first time I have seen it going through a big clear off. Ooh the round gelli plate looks interesting :)
Merry Christmas to you both!

Love how you cleared your desk right off for Christmas wrapping - much nicer than trying to wrap on a waterbed! I think I may try it, and it would give the desk a nice Christmas tidy up as well! Yours looks awesome, all ready for a year of crafting and creating! Love the photo at the end of the kitty and the Christmas ball. Thankfully all our balls are out of reach! That video was mesmerizing, the ornaments are gorgeous! But I don't think it's for me. . .thanks for your visit, and please have the merriest and happiest Christmas ever! Lindart #27
