Well that was a darned short week! definitely doesn't feel like a week ago we were all linking up at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, for our chance to browse desks and workrooms around the world.
A shot of my desk, whilst having a bit of fun with my Stampscapes stamps over the last week.I now have a batch of scenes done, just need to turn them into cards now. Along with making a gazillion birthday cards, as our 'peak season' for birthdays is coming up, and we're on holiday for almost two weeks next month, so I have less time.
Also on my desk, two new ATC's for the swap have arrived, Thank You ladies.
This one first from Kelly Henkins, an ATC and a selection of die cuts too, all in a little folder.
This one from Sharon Madson, has a couple of little embellishments with it, they are almost like some sort of shell, or mother of pearl. Lovely.
Spent a bit of time making myself some new earrings again. These cabochons are 8x6mm ovals, took a bit of hunting to get some suitable sized studs that also had the notch for butterfly backs.
We had a lovely evening on Saturday, as we met up for a meal with the Bromilows-Diane (Morti), David & Livvy. They were coming up to Birmingham so Livvy could go to the Birmingham Uni Open Day, and as we only live less than half an hour from there, they came over and we went for a carvery. Typically, none of us thought to take any pictures!
These are a few of the scenes I finished, I'll blog them towards the weekend.
Not used my Stampscapes as often as I'd like, one or two need a few tweaks, but are pretty much finished.
If you remember, last week I posted about doing some stencilling using a stars stencil and glitter embossing paste? Here's a funny story, that those who visited early on last week won't have seen in my comments, from my Beloved Hubby. Here is his comment:
"I found out about the glitter stars when I washed up on Monday night.
The sink of water I ran looked more like a snow cone , as a certain
someone hadn't rinsed the sink properly :) everything had to be re rinsed
under the tap as I didn't notice it until I had almost finished due to
the ever-so slightly OTT amount of liquid I tend to put in.
I looked over to the draining board to see a nice clean stencil trying desperately to look innocent and failing miserably." Guess who was in trouble?😈
Saw this last week, but I don't think I'll get away with it!

Love the stampscape images. Are they from HobbyArt? I like being able to build up images in sections, far more flexible. I like the house plan, I'd move in tomorrow lol. Sarah #?
ha ha ha!!! poor Doug. Love the Stampscapes cards, always a gorgeous theme for cards (must get mine out again some time! I'd be with you in that craft room/house layout, looks good to me! Helen #5
Hi Shaz. Just LOVE the floor plan - even if you don't appear to get away with it, I'm sure our homes are like it in reality!!! Art things in every room, spread over every surface, floor space etc., and, as Doug discovered... glitter everywhere.
Your scenescapes are beautiful - you are SO good at them. Well done.
Take care. God bless.

Oh Shaz you had me chuckling over the glitter stars. We all need a little sparkle in our lives don't we? 😀
We are blessed to be part of this wonderful group...it's so lovely to hear of friends meeting up. I can't wait til September to meet a few more bloggers.
Hugs,

I laughed at the glitter comment last week! And again at th room layout today 😁 That would be my ideal house, lol!! I like those landscapes, very different from your normal work, but they work well!
Hugs LLJ 13 xxx
I laughed at your hubby's comment and your future home plan would be a dream!!! does hubby know about that one!!! your scenes on your cards are so beautiful and relaxing to look at... Gorgeous... Love the ATC's .. Have a fun filled week ahead... May #11
Love your Stampscape scenes - I am assuming they build up and are versatile so each scene can be 'landscaped' by you. They are really effective and would look great hanging on the wall - little masterpieces.
I laughed at the floor plan - I think that sort of happens in our house - the 'joint' studio is now full of my stuff and hubby has to do his electronics in the shed!
Hope you have a great week,
Diana x #25
Hi Doug - please don't gang up with Mr G when you visit, for I like your wife, am guilty of glitter 'washes' ... Always impressed with your artwork Shaz, have a great holiday and a total rest. much love Happy WOYWWing, Dxxx @29
Love the floor plan but then my house is a little like this just has more walls separating. I quite often get told I have glitter on my face when I go out gets everywhere you can't be blamed. Anickoana #14
Just spotted that comment LOL. Lucky my husband hasn't figured out yet that he could leave comments on my blog! Lovely blending of colours on those stamped images - looks very professional! Nice that you're still receiving ATCs! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #33
Thanks for your visit earlier, going to try this technique again - using different size bands though.
So pleased you had such a good time in London, haven't been down there for ages.
Look forward to seeing your finished cards.
Take care
Christine #25 ish
That looks like the perfect floor plan to me, as it's the room that gets used the most it should therefore be the largest naturally! Lovely stampscapes, very clever. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and a lovely crafty week, Angela x18x
Ha HA to the floor plan! love your stamps capes cards. so much creative going on here- you go girl!

great cards and the scenery scapes are perfect. All hubby's need a little glitter in their lives!
I cannot post images AGAIN. It worked last week then no even after following instructions.
Monica
I especially love the scene with the lightning in the background :) But they are all stunning.
Personally, I think your floor plan is almost perfect... but I'd probably do away with the kitchen and just have a sink in the craft space :)
Have a wonderful WOYWW Wednes-yay!

Oh I love that floor plan! Definitely my future home someday! LOL! Your hubby is a riot! I don't think mine could find my blog if his life depended on it, much less comment! Your Stampscapes are lovely - I too have not done any for awhile, yet I love them! Must get back to them at some point - maybe after I have unmounted them all! A Misty would be so awesome for Stampscapes, can't wait to get one! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #39
I love stampscape stamps - super makes Shaz.
The floor plan is fabulous - I want a craft room like that LOL

HI, Shaz love your Stampscapes scenes they are beautiful and will be stunning cards.Doug's comment did make me LOL.That floor plan is ace, although I don't think any of us would get away with it
..wouldn't it be perfect though LOL.
I'm away again next week and not taking part today hopefully back soon.have a great week ahead and good luck with all the birthday card making take good care crafty hugs Andrea x
I am rolling here laughing over the snow cone sink... ( we are so pressed for space using that one sink that used to be in the garage that moved to the other side of the wall that connects it to the house last year, don't feel too bad. that is entirely something I would do too. :)
Oh My Gosh your landscapes are so beautiful. :)
every time I see someone do something so well done with these it makes me want the rest of those stamps yes, I am rolling my eyes, but I love what you did here. Have a good week Shaz! ~Stacy #38
ROFL!! Fabulous post which really made me smile, Shaz - and then to top it off with the really funny pic at the end!! I think the bedroom is taking up a bit too much space, though. Love your scenic cards - not something I've ever done. Your desk looks lovely and busy! Thank you for your visit - rather a lot of stuff out on my desk atm as I work on the backgrounds for the tags. We are both mega-excited about the kittens and are seeing them this time tomorrow. They won't be old enough to come to us till the end of July but I am sure the time will go quickly. My hubby is worried that the cat tree is too big for them but I bet they will be scaling its heights in no time! Picures and videos will follow.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #12 x
LOVE the floor plan! I could live without the kitchen too for more craft room.
Those are great scenes!!
Have a great day!

Yes, wonderful post! So glad you got your ATC! :) That was a great story! My hubby teases me a lot. :) Beautiful scenescapes, too. But, I love, love the floor plan! Ha! My hubby said if we downsized right now, my craft room would take up three fourths of the house! :)
Thank you for sharing! #40
Where's the time gone? time flies when we're having fun! Sounds as if that's exactly how you've been spending your days lately. Happy WOYWW

What a great desk. TFS Happy WOYWW xx Jan (31)
Hi Shaz. Thanks for the visit and I am so sorry that I did not send you your ATC - not sure really how that happened .It will be on it's way ASAP!!!!!
Love the scenes you have created!! I've seen that plan before :-) always makes me giggle, mind you my DH would say that I have most of the house anyway :-)
The glitter and washing up story made me giggle. have a great week. Anne x #28
I had a good laugh seeing your floor plan for a home! Just too funny!
Love your Stampscapes!! Fabulous coloring! I have a few stamps but they haven't been used in ages. Any my coloring was never like yours! Hope you have a most wonderful holiday next month!
Carol N #37
Your scenic pieces are so pretty! What do you use to color them in? They are wonderful. I love your house plans and would love to get away with that one too. LOL Enjoy! Dorlene #36
Wow, your scenescapes are amazing, they were what first drew me to your blog a long time ago, lovely to see you doing them again.
I really approve of your house plan too !
Love that floor plan. Your stampscapes look awesome!
April #3
Oh so funny about the glitter sink! Nice change to find a man dealing with stuff, it is always the other way round here - LOL Super scenes too. Thanks for the visit BJ#28
Your scenes are stunning, I particularly love the last one. I laughed at your poor hubby. My hubby prevents that sort of problem by avoiding anything vaguely housework like, hence why our new house will look like your plan, and he'll be living in a shed in the garden!
I love the floor plan, Shaz, it made me laugh! Beautiful stampscapes, too. Have a great week, hugs, Lynne #46
You having a new house built? Or is this just a wistful thought?
Oh Shaz, love the stamping scenes, do hope you bring them with you to the crop and show me how to do them. You are brilliant at this.
Thanks for visiting me - sorry I am so late, been in bed ill but fine now.
Hugs, Neet xx
