Well, you finally shamed me into it! seeing so many people working on their Christmas cards over the last couple of weeks has forced me into starting. Bit of a struggle, I need to feel Christmasy to enjoy doing them, and I do NOT feel christmasy before the second week of December, at the very earliest, lol. Anyway, this is my desk as of Tuesday night:
My stamped & embossed images from the previous post, cut out and corner chomped. Really like that tool, made a much better job of the corners than my normal corner rounder punch.
This is where I am now, matted onto silver card, chomped again, and some clear acrylic flatback gems added with Pinflair Glue Gel. I think I will be adding a ribbon bow, over the ribbon on the image, just to finish them off.
One more thing on this weeks desk, one of those 'I know I'll find a use for it' type of things:
We went out for an Anniversary meal, and these stirrers arrived in my cocktails! ( Mojito's and Long Island Iced Tea, as you ask),- not all on the same night I hasten to add- we went out again last weekend. They had to come home with me- be honest, would you have left them behind? So, get yourselves over to our Head of Desks, Julia, at The Stamping Ground, and join the fun.

wow, the cards look gorgeous - I knew they would when I saw them in the making... and no, the stirrers would have come with me too! Helen 20
Oooh! Fun. Can't wait to see what you make of the stirrers. I always have a ton on my desk, useful for so many things (great as a spacer - they are pretty close to 1/4 so handy for sewing stuff too!)
Very nice, easy to duplicate but still stunning card design. That is the trick with Xmas cards, isn't it?
Happy WOYWW!

Corner chomping .... corner chomping.... sounds great!
Those stirrers will come in useful one day .... if only to stir next summer's drinks on the lawn!!

Stunning Christmas cards. We collect things that could come in useful when we're out too.

Great cards Shaz. I have boxes of those things they put in drinks. I have used as fairy wands in dolls, flag poles and decorative thingies.
Shaz, your cards are beautiful. Yep, I would have brought those home also! Somewhere, you are going to find a grand place for these...
Hugs, Robin 23
What super cards, you put me to shame with the number you have done.

well done on starting your christmas cards, they look great. I'm afraid I've still not been shamed into it yet!!
Love the stirrers, bet you'll find a crafty use for them eventually.
Hugs Lisax '56
I started my Christmas Cards on NY Day, cos I was we'll into the Christmas Spirit (complete with cocktail stirrers lol!) - I find I really like making them actually in the Christmas season - totally justified in playing Christmas music & watching soppy movies at same time :-)
Love the embossing

Haven't even begun to think about those "C" cards! My head is still in Halloween, and I haven't even done anything Haloweeny yet! Hopefully will before Halloween. Same with my "C" cards - hopefully before Christmas! Yours are lovely! Lindart #94

The cards are lovely, Shaz - well done. No, I wouldn't have left the stirrer thingys behind, either - but can't for the life of me think what to do with them...
Thanks for visiting - glad you enjoyed seeing the finished calendar pieces!
As for making Christmas cards - I always play carols whilst doing them - gets me into it all...
Have a great week.

C Cards, oh my! They look really pretty.

Just as I thought, beautiful cards - the rounded corners work so well. Chris102
Too true I would have brought those stirrers home!! Not that I would have known what to do with them but there is a principle to be upheld!!
I adore that wreath stamp, Shaz...those cards are the ones that I would buy for my use. I love simple silver and white cards, extra bling is a bonus!
Hugs, LLJ 7 xx
Happy WOYWW. Love the cards - so elegant and stylish. I need to find the time to make some more myself. Ali x #49
Hi Shaz
Ahhhh long island iced tea!!! and I don't like tea. I never leave these behind either, sound like a challenge, most imaginative use?
have a great week
janet
Loving the silver sparkle of your embossing powder and that wreath stamp is stunning. And there you are saying you need to be in the mood to master Christmas. I think you are right on top of things and I may need to take a page out of your book and get seriously cracking onto mine. Have a great week! Danie #25
Adoring your Christmas cards, they are so delicate and sparkly like a crisp frost on bare branches. Thanks for the visit this week BJ#26
Gorgeous cards, Shaz - love the swirly pattern and the bling! What a production line you've got there. As for the stirrers, that is the sort of collecting I do too - I've picked up loads of redundant stuff left at the end of wedding receptions etc. There's often lots of ribbon that nobody wants too. Look forward to seeing what you make with them!
Thanks for your lovely comment - what you saw in the photo is about the only organised bit, but it's gradually coming together. Once I've done a bit more sorting in the rest of the house, and unpacked a few more of the endless boxes, I might feel like creating with a clear conscience!!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #65
The Xmas cards look gorgeous. Now you're shaming me into really getting started! I'm sure you'll find something to do with the cocktail stirrers...it would have been rude to leave them behind!! Hugs. Pam#38
The cards are gorgeous. Afraid I've not started mine - can see me buying them!!!! Thanks for popping by. Anne x #99
I would not have left them either, but am happy to as that by now you've prolly found a jillion ideas for them..and mine would be floating around in a 'to do' pile for the next year! Love your Christmas cards..they're beautiful..I understand about being in the mood..and I figure if you are in the mood we should all look out, you'll be producing masterpieces on a level unknown!
No, not you too with the 'C' cards?!?!
I love them, so simple yet effective. I may need to buy this stamp as I could do TONS of cards in one session (which sounds perfect to me!).
Cocktail stirrers eh? Far too good to leave behind :-)
kyla
One day I will get my head round my C card design!! I love those- so elegant. I am so late getting round this week but just needed to snoop a few desks! x Jo
