I started stamping in Silver Encore Pigment ink, and using silver detail embossing powder (Stampendous). The image in the bottom left, you can see some ink around the print- thats one thing I dislike about Pigment pads, because they are foam, they tend to deposit ink where you don't want it! I forgot to clean around the outside of the stamp with a cotton bud before I stamped this one. One good thing with this image, its very forgiving of stray bits of embossing powder, if you miss any flecks.Although my little embossing bag did do a very good job of keeping it clear.
They look ok, but a little plain. So out came some powders with a bit of sparkle.
The first one I tried was Stampendous Stardust, and I really like how this one came out. I still stamped in the Silver Embossing ink, by the way.
This one still showed up silver, but with a lovely sparkle to it.I had a few more to try out, and the next up was a WOW embossing powder, Snow Sparkle.
Its actually quite pretty, but the white does hide the silver ink.
Next to try were a couple more Stampendous powders, Crystal and Rainbow Crystal.
I like them, but not as much as the Stardust. So I will be sticking with that one.
It always surprises me how different various powders can make an image look.

What a great stamp, and now you've found the best powder to use, I am sure you will have your batch of cards made in no time...
It is interesting to find how different powders work on stamps and different colours - hardly ever what you think! Glad you have settled on one and look forward to seeing your cards. It certainly looks like a great stamp.

What a great image and really interesting to see the different powders in direct comparison. I have to say I wasn't too happy when SU went over to the foam pads. I've got used to them now, but I found it much easier to get a clean image with the old style.
Lovely stamp and I agree, I love my stardust embossing powder too.
Looking forward to seeing the batch of cards you make with this stamp.

I have the same frustration with foam pads and end up with strays ink lines - grrr!

I love how you showed the various powders on the images. I know I do that with all the "golds" in Rangers line sometimes. Such a pretty stamp. I am not a fan of pigment inks either, I have 2 white, 1 silver and 2 gold. This is the season I will be taking them out too! Thanks for the visit today. I think we had similar teachers as my handrwriting leaves much to be desired. The fountain pen is an attempt to slow down! Winnie#73

Aw, these look lovely and made me realise I haven't done any stamping with ink and embossing and embossing powder and using my heat gun in ages! I love the look of all that glld or silver on cards... Must have ago again! Your cards look lovely!!
