WOYWW #542- The Fighting Back Edition.

Yep, because I am. Slowly. The last chemo totally wiped me out, and I'm definitely still not even close to ok again, but for the first time in over a week I'm back in my craft room, and linking up at Julias Place, The Stamping Ground.
No crafting done, apart from some colouring I've sat doing, but there has been some internet shopping done, so normal Enabling Service is resumed.😇
I mentioned new Lavinia stamps a couple of weeks ago, and here they are.
Pegasus- or is it Pegasi?-  and mushrooms.

I also paid a visit to Country View Crafts, and as well as a TH Christmas cardstock pack, which I don't actually NEED, but they were too gorgeous to resist, I also got a couple of bargains in her end of summer sale, so worth a look.

Some TH Tissue papers, and a fab waves stamp.

This older Chocolate Baroque set, because the words were used on ATC's from a Halloween swap I was in, and loved them. Is it wrong that I read them in the voice of the great Vincent Price, lol?

A Pegasus stencil from Sweet Poppy, many of their stencils have been designed by Tracey from Lavinia Stamps, and match up with stamps.

The Embossing Powders are by Lindys Stamp Gang, part of the range of Two Toned Embossing Powders they make. They used to be called MoonGlow Two toned when I first bought them many years ago,  the Lindys brand seems to make them now, but they are not very widely available in the UK, so these on E-Bay were a lucky find.

I don't have this one yet, they are pre-order for 31st October, but you all know we lost a lovely friend in Erika earlier this year. Erika was a huge Visible Image supporter, and Mark & Helen were at her funeral. Mark has designed this stamp set in her memory, and Helen has added words that reflect Erika.

This was the anniversary card I actually managed to get done in time a couple of weeks ago. I'll try and find the energy to blog it later in the week, with the products used.

This weeks chemo is put off, I'm needing another 3 or 4 weeks recovery time. This one really flattened me, I spent 18 hours or more asleep last Wednesday & Thursday! Still not even close to having any strength, but at least the worst of the brain fog has gone, and best of all the neuropathy in my mouth has gone so I can have cold drinks. Nothing worse than desperately wanting a cold drink but not being able to have one for at least a week.

Which just leaves..........And Finally........

Loving your goodies and I hope you feel well enough to use them all soon. I haven't checked out Sue's send of summer sale... better not! I do like the stamps VI have designed in Erika's memory, what a lovely thing to do. Till next week, happy enabling! Helen #1

Sorry this last lot of chemo hit you so badly. Take rest when you need it and don't try to do things until you are really up to it. I guess you have no alternative to rest when your body tells you so just listen to what it ways, please.
Lovely enabling, I can see yu like Pegasus by your purchases, have you something great in mind for using the stamps and stencil?
So glad you managed to get an anniversary card made, I love its simplicity, it says it all and more.
Take care
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Oh Shaz, I’m sorry you’ve been having such a rough time with the chemo. It certainly does wipe one out, doesn’t it. I remember that awful feeling so well - just lying on the recliner feeling absolute cr*p but not being able to define exactly which part of me felt ill! The PN is awful too - I had “first bite syndrome” to a painful degree, hot or cold. One thing I did find was that needing to sleep so much, the time passed in blissful unconsciousness when I was unaware of how ill I was. I am glad they are giving you a bit of recovery time. How many more treatments are you due to have?

The crafting will return once you feel better again, and it will be something lovely to look forward to. In the meantime you can enjoy looking at all your gorgeous new stash and anticipating the fun you will have with it. I particularly love Erika’s stamp set - what an absolutely stunning idea to develop a stamp set in her memory.

Glad you are keeping up your sense of humour in the midst of the chemo hell - love the funny this week! Hahaha! How true, how true...

As happy a WOYWW as possible, Shaz,

Ah Shaz, the neuropathy is like the last blimming straw isnt it, so glad its faded away. My word this lot of chemo has been like a sledgehammer. Sleeping it off sounds like a good thing to me, doing as little as possible is just the ticket. I know it ends up feeling boring but it’s very good for you! The Erika tribute stamp is just wonderful isnt it, what a lovely and remarkable way to commemorate that bunneh, I do like the Pegasusssses but have no idea what I’d use them on. When youre feeling up to it, I shall look forward to being totally schooled!

I can't imagine what you go through with the chemo...It sounds so terrible. I'm glad you are turning the corner from the last one. I love all the fun goodies you have received...nothing a few supplies to cheer a girl up!

It can't be fun being pumped with those chemicals but if they're doing their job, it's worth the suffering. Retail therapy is just what you needed and I will never complain about being "enabled" LOL! I just got into foiling and I know you're an expert at that so I'll be checking some of your older posts! Lovely anniversary card - also foiled I see! Hope you'll feel much much better soon! xx zsuzsa #16

Sending hugs and prayers! Hope you recover your energy and get to feeling better soon. Those are quite the stamps and the waves certainly look cool!
I actually met Vicent Price and have his autograph somewhere in an ancient photo album in our storage shed. He spoke at the college I attended and I wandered into the teacher's lounge to see him. He was quite tall and his voice, yeah, it was scary! But he was very nice.
Hang in there!

Sorry to hear you are struggling with the Chemo, I gather it can be completely energy draining, while the brain still wants stimulus of doing something. Hope you are feeling better soon and can achieve something.

Hi Shaz, so sorry to hear the latest chemo has wiped you out. Hope you feel better soon, and get your energy back. Love all your latest purchases - I laughed at the Vincent Price comment - he had one of the best voices I have ever heard! That's a lovely tribute to Erika, how nice to remember her with her own stamp. I laughed again at your funny at the end - I think I might save that and mark it My Will and leave it in our safe lol. Have a lovely week Heather xx #27

You deserve a few treats Shaz. I think that is very kind of you to leave your children your craft room when they sell all the stuff they'll make a fortune I'm sure if your collection is as big as I suspect. Wishing you a very happy though rather late woyww, Angela x13x

Hi Shaz, I hope this finds you feeling a bit better. Thank you for your return visit, and I'm glad you like the colour of the new Katie 2! I've sat in her but haven't been out in her yet - my hubby has been out and about loads, and gets to have all the fun with her! I'm trying not to worry too much about the outcome of my PIP assessment but I do dread that brown envelope arriving... I'm glad you like my completed slippers!

Take care, hugs,
