Well, can you believe it, this time next week we are at the end of February. Already. WOYWW time again, all hosted by our much loved leader, Julia, over at The Stamping Ground.
If you haven't already seen it, check out Julias post from yesterday- the 2018 Crop! Awesome news.
This is my desk from earlier, and until well into today!
I decided I needed to organise my card box- every time I want a card, especially a non birthday one, I have to sort through the whole box. So, I've decided to pull them all out, sort into 'types', and then make some dividers to go in the box. I may need a bigger box soon!
This is what was on my desk earlier in the day.
Case'd from something I saw made on a You Tube video.
I'll blog them tomorrow, or Friday.
I've decided I need a large Dragonfly die now, lol.
There are a couple of Christmas cards in the post below this one.
Speaking of needs, I asked my local craft shop to reserve me a couple of the TH Alcohol Ink tins when they came in, and they are now in stock, so I'll be picking them up later in the week. I have a lot of Stickles/Pearls/ AI's and Adirondack re-inkers that are all going to fit, so a few of them *might* be bought, to free up some drawer space.
Some of you may have seen this on BJ's desk last week- Beloved Hubby did, and promptly ordered me one.
I can sleep like a log once I get to sleep- it's just the getting to sleep that eludes me. Tried going to bed early- all that does is mean I'm awake a lot longer! I rarely go to bed much before midnight at the earliest, and it's not unusual for me to still be awake at 4.00am still. I've just taken to listening to some Guided Sleep Meditations with headphones, and that's helping too.I know over the last week of using the two, I'm usually asleep within an hour, hour and a half. Which is a big improvement.
and finally.............................

Hi Shaz, just saw your post on FB via my tablet but it is all too small to cope with on my tablet so I have braved sitting at my desk PC having clocked the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray photo. Good on your Hubby, how it is working for you? I love the aroma but as for sleep, you much be joking. I'm the opposite to you, usually fall asleep OK but wake 2-3hrs later. The Olympics doesn't help as I like to watch it live in the early hours anyway. BJ #??
Hi Shaz, Procraftination is my favourite word of all time! Glad to hear that you are starting to get to sleep a little quicker. I am in awe of your card stash, but then I know that you like to batch make similar cards when trying new techniques. I must admit that I tend to make cards as and when required. Have a good week. Sarah #7
hope the pillow spray is helping, I have fitful sleep most nights. I love how productive you are, look at all those cards prepared! I guess it helps that you enjoy making cards; unlike me much any more, but I refuse to give in and buy them! got to use all this stash for something!! Have a good week... Helen #1
Happy WOYWW. My sleep varies - either I wake often in the night and then early, or I struggle to wake up in the morning (which is me today). No particular pattern to it. Doctor thinks it is a combination of hormones and my Fibromyalgia. Loving all the cards you have ready. I have a drawer full of cards - but they are all bought (from local artists, my friend has a stationery business from home with lovely cards, and charity cards that catch my eye). If I don't have the time (or inclination) to make a card, then I go to my drawer and it usually has just the thing. Ali x #13
Hi Shaz - it must be Spring, I've been busy organising too. I already have my cards in 'topic' order but that's only because I do craft fairs. and for the occasional friend who turns up at the door asking for an emergency card!! Hope you get your sleep routine sorted out. I hate laying in bed waiting for sleep but hasn't been an issue for me lately. Like you I tend to stay up to try and avoid that. Good Luck!! Happy Wednesday Cindy #14 xx
I’m chuckling here Shaz....it’s cos I’ve been procraftinating far too much that my business accounts are sooooooo behind in being done and why I’ve spent the last two days with my heads in my books.....not something I enjoy!
Hope you have a great week.
Hugs,

I love those butterfly cards, doing simple is harder than multi-layered, I think - it's a bit like playing a brass instrument quietly, it's then your technique shows itself up, lol!! Hooray that you holiday dates didn't clash with the Crop - woohoo :-D

Ahh...sleep, that would be nice. I usually get up and look out of the window until a) something happens - like the fox wandering by, or b) I get cold! Or, I retreat to 'Grandmas Spaceship' which is my own personal spaceship to go anywhere - oh and I have a little companion in space, an android cat which can metamorphasize into any other creature - yes I know I'm sad, but, like you, I lie awake for many hours (which I think is due to my 'dangerous' age), and I have an active mind!
Love

Beautiful cards! And I hope the spray will work with the sleep deprivation. I will look into this spray, my husband suffers from it too, though it is getting better. Have a wonderful week! xoxo Cheetarah #21
I laughed and laughed on your quote! Oh my! Such beautiful cards! I've had to sort mine and now have 2 baskets full! But I can usually find what I need. My hubby can fall asleep fast but wakes up at all hours. We diffuse Lavender oil to help. Thanks for popping by! Have a great week!
I have had sleep problems all my life and even if I fall asleep I wake up on and off throughout the night. I find sometimes a small glass of dry sherry helps. The real cause is lack of hormones! This common post cancer treatment. Headphones don't work when one is deaf!. latest is to try and plan things. I am beginning to think that naps through the day are the best solution
have a good week, the year is starting to speed up!

Hi Shaz......LOVE, LOVE your Word of the Day! I will have to steal that guy! LOLOL I just want to tell you that your card collection is AMAZING! That is your talent! You are a wonderful card maker! The fact that you have a "stash" that needs organizing is wonderful! I never have one when I need it, so I'm always making one on "the fly!" LOL Happy organizing! Make it a great rest of the week! Felicia #27
My problem is that I need a card, wade through the ones I have done but never find THE one for that particular person. Think I should empty the box and start again. Good luck with your cataloguing.
I rather like those butterfly cards - now where did I see a large dragonfly die? Maybe it was a stamp!!
See you at the crop - miss you at Port Sunny.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
Hi Shaz, thanks for popping by. I am like you , have a box full of cards and have to go through them all. I also need to organise them!!! I am in serious organise mode at present :-)
saw the news of the crop!!! Exciting. DH are planning a holiday - abroad in September - but we will see :-) I really enjoyed it last year and meeting everyone.
Butterfly cards are fab - love butterflies. I have a dragonfly die ( from Stampin Up love it https://www2.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=142749 - not sure if it is what you are looking for)
I have dreadful time sleeping - like you can still be awake at 4am :-( - have tried all sorts.
have a great week. Anne x #15
PS I am definitely a Procraftinator!!!! :-) x
Good luck with the sleep Shaz - I can get off to sleep easily but have a habit of waking around 4 lying awake for 2 hours and then dropping off just when I should be thinking of getting up! AND I am definitely a procraftinator - I have the dust/cobwebs to prove it - he he - but who cares!! xx Jo
Hi Shaz, I struggle to get to sleep, wake up every couple of hours and then can't get out of bed in the morning! So I'm interested in anything that sends me to sleep and keeps me asleep! Your collection of cards is great - I love the stampscape cards. Thanks for stopping by earlier, yes I love the Lavinia stamps, can't wait for the workshop. Have a lovely week Heather x #28
Great looking cards...I just had to reorganize mine too...I had them scattered all over the place. Just saw a big dragon fly die on Wish.com for $1. I have bought quite a few thinlet dies from them and they are just as good as the ones in the stores here. Have a great week! Vickie #36
I can't believe it, maybe it's that time of the year but I've been doing the same thing this week. I've actually decided to put all the birthday cards for the ladies together in one box, men in another and all the used ones I keep as inspiration in another. I fear the collection of boxes are taking over Lol! maybe I am guilty of Procraftination Lol! as the ironing is piling up! Happy crafty woyww, Angela x16x
Well I am definitely a Promothinator.... gorgeous set of cards. Came up with a similar system for organising cards i had made in one of my procrastinating moods. Have a great week.

Happy Belated WOYWW. That is such a nice pile of cards! I had gotten a clear plastic card sorter box, I think from Cropper Hopper; but I haven't gotten in the habit of using it. I hope your pillow spray continues to help you, I use a lavender linen spray when traveling, and that always helps me sleep in a strange place. Have a great week.

ooh I have had those nights. not sure what that thing is but, if its working YAY :)
I think you will need a bigger box for sorting the cards but, I don't really make dividers for mine, but I do group them in like kinds together. ( no sentiments, birthdays, congratulations, holidays, sympathy/getwell/encouragement) really loose themes and that works for me. ~Stacy #32
Hi Shaz - finally arrived to visit!! Love, just LOVE your funny at the end today! Wonderful... It will be so good to see you in September indeed. Looking forward to the date already - and the time will go really quickly. How can we possibly be at the end of February already?
Yes, I sort all my cards out in the box - have different A5 dividers (used up some really old card that was hanging around)for each type of sentiment.
I'm glad I don't have to make up all 100 bags - I do some, but we have a great group of people who stitch each year - and the children so appreciate their new school bags with their Bibles - treasure!
love those butterfly cards - so effective.
Take care. God bless.

Love the butterfly cards. Glad you have found something to help you fall asleep.

Hi Shaz, your sleep pattern sounds just like mine - maybe I should try out the pillow spray ... I tried some sleeping pills recently but I went all weird :o) we have to sleep so we will have the energy to feel creative!! What satisfying stacks of cards you have on your desk :o) Annie C #10
Great blog post on the butterfly cards, an amazing way to use up vellum pieces etc, may have to think about these!!
As to sleep-I can get to sleep just cannot STAY asleep for more than about 45 mins at a time, I also use sleep podcasts and also meditiation tracks which do help a bit!
Kyla
LOL I am a procraftinator! Lovely cards as always, you couldn't do a bad one, Shaz. <3 Don't let your sleeping patterns flip flop like I have. Sleeping in the daytime, up all night. I have to drink sleepytime tea, take magnesium pill and chew a melatonin, then have me a toke or two (oops! hahaq), all this will knock me out finally, but not always for the duration. It's sad, really. Luckily I'm retired and an empty nest hausfrau with a very understanding hubby. xoxo
Great lot of cards to organize. That one with the beautiful landscape caught my eye. bit is in the top right area of your photo.
Your DH sounds so thoughtful. I hope that vial helps you. We both have sleep issues. We both wake up several times in the night. Started after we turned 60 so perhaps is an aging thing. Not quite pensioners yet so hope it might taper off then....
I keep a good book by the bed and sit up and read for an hour or two till my eyes get tired.
