WOYWW #433- The Zombie Edition

It's the Zombie edition, 'cos that's exactly what I feel like. Morning are ok, I have enough energy then, but as soon as I get into the afternoon, all I want to do is sleep. I sit down for 5 minutes, and when I next open my eyes, it's 3 or 4 hours later. I also felt quite sick this afternoon, but fortunately I still have some jars of Crystallized Ginger from last time, and that stuff is bloody marvellous. I had 3 or 4 pieces, and I was fine straight after.
Good job I like Ginger, is all I can say.
But, if being a bit tired is the worst of the side effects, then I'm counting myself lucky. The tiredness started on Sunday, so it's roughly on course for when it kicked in last time. So what else have I been doing? Well, there were these 3 cards for the Christmas Card Club challenge.

Then I got a box that's full of Christmas Papers out, to sort through.

Mainly 8"x8" pads, and some other odds and ends in there.

And a box full of Christmas Cards I want to put into cellophane bags later.

And I think that's all there is from me. So, I'll be linking up at Julias place, The Stamping Ground later on.

This coming Sunday is the Tim Holtz Workshop at Art From The Heart, so there'll be pics from that next week.

And this is definitely me right now. 😀

Oh, and I also have to say that it wasn't BJ who put me onto the dies a couple of weeks ago, it was Elizabeth (Silverscrapper).  Just blame the  useless brain cells!

Glad the ginger helps with the nausea. I have another friend who used to eat that for the same reason after chemo. Enjoy the weekend, that's come round quick! Helen #?

Morning Shaz. I'm sorry you are feeling so tired and sick. That ginger is good stuff - I take it whenever I'm on water - being on a canal boat is bad enough for me!! Imagine travelling to the Scilly Isles!!! Love the cards. Hope you will still feel up to coming up for the crop.
Take care. God bless.

Oh bless you. I guess you just have to listen to your body and sleep....I'm sure that's what it's needing right now. I really hope you get your get up and go back soon and the treatment has done its job. Sending you big healing hugs.
See you soon.
Hugs,

It's weird why you cope ok through the treatment, then it bites you on the bum afterwards. Cumulative effect, I suppose. Sleep all you can this week so you can get better for the crop! Ginger is awesome for upset tums and nausea, I use it when I have IBS. Sending you big squishies! I love your cards btw, the foil is really sparkly :-D

Happy WOYWW. Ginger literally is my lifesaver when I am travelling, or just getting the dreaded nausea at home. I take ginger biscuits and crystallised ginger with me everywhere - and always pass them round if there are fellow travellers getting that lightheaded/dizzy feeling. I remember when we went to Jamaica to get married and we arrived very late at night, followed by a 2 hour journey in a minibus over dirt 'roads' to get to our hotel (which was fabulous and worth the journey - they have built a tarmac road there now). I need to go to the toilet at least once per hour, so the driver stopped at a police station for me to use their facilities (nowhere else in this remote rural area at 1 am!). I had to wait for it to be vacated and sat in their office handing out ginger biscuits to the policeman!! They didn't speak much English, but we all had a lovely time. Memories! Gorgeous Christmas cards. I am not making any this year - sticking with my journaling and ATCs etc. Ali x #19

Hi Shaz,
I had no idea about the ginger that is so cool that it works for you, and it makes me curious if they sell something similar here. Hopefully the tired thing wears off soon. I laughed and laughed over that joke at the end too, someone should make that on a mug :) (( HUGS )) ~Stacy #28

Hi Shaz the ginger sounds useful. You are always so good at getting your Christmas cards made and I try but will never be as good as you, I know I will be on the last legs as usual. I want to wish you hopefully, a good crafty woyww, Angela x17x

Loving the holographic sparkle in those cards Shaz! So sorry you're feeling shattered and sick and thanks so much for managing a visit despite all that. We once accidentally bought some ginger like that, but it was hellish spicy - we couldn't eat it! I know it's good for you though. All the best xx zsuzsa #14

Sorry I'm late getting around. I'm glad tiredness is your only effect and that ginger is helping you. My Mother in Law swore by it. I love your penguin cards and am quite envious of your box of Christmas cards; I need to really get cracking!

Have a great time with Tim!

Have not been playing along at Christmas Card Club and am finally back. Was so excited to be back I was racing about leaving comments and rushed yours before i noticed the date!

I| am sorry to here you have to go thru Radiotherapy. I am glad to hear that it is not too too bad. DH battled testicular cancer when we had wee children. He was off work three years and has been lucky since. Still goes to follow ups tho...
