WOYWW #304

Not a whole lot of exciting stuff this week for our regular Wednesday stroll around the worlds desks, thanks to out fabulous Hostess, Julia, over at The Stamping Ground.
Just a couple of stamp purchases off E-bay, this one an old Stampscapes set, called Butterflies. One of Kevins 'art' stamp sets, rather than a scenic one.

The second stamps are both by Jenny, The Artistic Stamper.
I wanted these two sets more for the 'empty' image, than the steampunk one, but no doubt those two will also make an appearance somewhere.
In case anyone isn't yet aware, Shoshi did finally get her surgery on Friday, but apparently it was almost cancelled again, you can find all the info over on her blog, as she has a friend co-hosting it for her whilst she is in hospital.
I also did get my treatment on Friday, so my cold germs didn't get in the way. Not feeling too bad, in fact, I think if it wasn't for the leftover cold, and me being a bit silly and overdoing things on Saturday, I'd actually feel better than I did after the second one. Saturday was entirely my own fault, I know it was only the day after my treatment, but we had a family wedding, and I didn't want us to miss going. Spent far too long on my feet, between the wedding in the afternoon, and the evening reception, so at the moment, I know 2 week old babies with more stamina than I've got.So, very short and sweet this week, I'm off to make myself a cup of Bournevita, and have a lounge on the sofa with a craft video or two before bed- me and that sofa are bosom buddies lately, lol.

Beautiful stamp sets. I find I'm enjoying plain things more as I grow more confident in decorating them myself lol.

I'm so glad Shoshi was finally able to get her surgery.

I have respiratory illness triggered asthma that goes from nothing to full throttle when I get a cold or worse. Lately it seems I'm surrounded by people with colds and I've been napping like crazy. Knock wood. So take the time you need when you need to do so. Sending good thoughts to you and Shoshi and anyone else who needs them : ).

(no number yet lol).

You and that sofa are meant to be bosom buddies right now! Glad you got to go to the wedding though, horrid to miss out. I've got Jenny's empty jar image, I didn't realise it came as a set of two..it was a gift so perhaps the giver knew that I'd recoil at the steampunk one..I mean, what am I meant to do with that!
Have linked you. No idea why the link list wasn't on show..I could see it!

I'm happy that you were able to have your chemo on Friday. I was worried about that cold throwing a monkey wrench into things. I think I mentioned before that my sister slept and slept during her chemo treatments. Go with it --- healing happens during sleep.
Have a restful week, Shaz.

Seriously now, you are meant to stay on that sofa and blend with it's softness and let it embrace you to heal you. Please take it easy this week you really do need to rest. Glad to hear the wedding was attended. Love those stamp sets and I am sure you will find many a task to use them in. I like them all empty or full. I hope you have a wonderful Easter.

Happy WOYWW

I can see why the jar and lightbulb stamps jumped out at you. Both versions of them are neat and will be fun to play with. Sorry to hear you are run down. Take care! Judy #60

Like the stamp set very much, I bet you use them loads! I'm glad you got to the wedding, good to see other family at times like this but please take care. You'll have plenty of time to rampage after all your treatment is over :-). Hope your cold isn't too bad now...
Thanks for the update on Shoshi too.

Thanks for the update on yourself and Shoshi. Fingers crossed for y0u both, I'm off to visit her next! Get rid of that cold, don't overdo it and make sure you can get to the crop if even only for a part of the day. It's be a shame if you had to miss it! LOVE the empty images. I know I have a glass jar like that someplace but probably smaller. Drat. more shopping needed... shame on you!

Hope that by now you are much recovered and feeling more tickety boo. I just answered your query on your blog and then realised
a) it wasn't your query, and
b) I wasn't on your blog!1 Go figure! It's my age.
Love those butterfly stamps - they are truly gorgeous.

Love your new stamp sets, Shaz. Thank you for your lovely encouraging comments during my hospital stay. Home again at last - so pleased! Things are going well but it's going to be a long haul. Really enjoying having a private nurse (my best friend from school!) who is also an absolute tonic and keeping me laughing fit to bust (almost but not quite literally lol!). More updates to follow on my bogs once I can get to them - I have so many lovely messages to reply to in the meantime.
