WOYWW # 584-The Catch Up Edition.

Back again, as always our regular world wide meet up of desk sharing, hosted by our amazing Julia over at The Stamping Ground.

This is whats currently on my desk - ready for some Christmas cards that I should have had done for a couple of Sundays ago, but more about that in a while.

A Sweet Poppy stencil, that also has a matching die. The bottom left one is on a Brusho background- it just looked all stormy/Blizzard like.

Talking about Sweet Poppy stencils, and the mistake in my last order. Lucy got straight back to me- literally within 5 minutes of me contacting them, said she'd put the correct one in the post, and as the mistake was theirs, there was no need to return the Postbox.

Well, I was MIA last week, as I'd already said, I'd developed a UTI and had some antibiotics. Well they seemed to work ok, but two days after I finished the course, it was back with a vengeance. So, a sample was sent to the lab, and I was given a different course of antibiotics while they waited for the results, This was on the Friday. This anti biotic turned out to be totally useless, as it did nothing, I just got worse each day- hence the last batch of cards for the Christmas Card Club didn't get done. I was literally getting up in the morning, making a coffee, going and lying on the recliner, having naps, reading a bit, wanting to go to bed about 9.00! Repeated daily.

On the Wednesday I had to phone for results, and now they knew what it was, gave me a different anti biotic, and slowly but surely it seems to have dealt with it. Fingers well and truly crossed, today is the first time I've been in my craft room since the last WOYWW I posted in.

Anyway, that just brings us round now to .........And Finally.........

Morning Shaz lets keep everything crossed yes yes, not nice when you think what's being given you will help then doesn't.. The recent high heat has stopped me in my crafty tracks. People can be so generous when mistakes are made with orders but not all are like that, it's a great little extra you now have in your stash. I like the blizzard scene alongside your sign post, you'll have them all finished in no time now.
Take care & Happy WoywW Tracey (3) xx

Hope you are kicking the UTI into touch for good now! love that stencil - and how nice of them to correct the order so satisfactorily! Take care and stay cool (it's unbearable down here!) Helen #2

Happy WOYWW and hope you get rid of that UTI soon. Every now and then I have a little think about what I am going to do for Christmas cards - and then I forget about it again! It will have to be October at the earliest before I get the Christmas craft box out. I think I will be making very few again this year (lost my cardmaking mojo - and been ordering cards online for a while). Ali x #5

Morning Shaz, so pleased you are feeling better after a rough time, UTIs are a horrid curse on womankind!
However, those Christmas card makings look good, maybe you can now get them finished.
I am very disappointed to discover that I am indeed an adult, can tick all the list, depressing!
Bless you for sharing,

Oh blimey, that last And Finally is a bit too close for comfort!!! Especially the Always being Annoyed bit...I seem to have turned into shouty woman when watching the news, so I don't anymore...easiest way out. That was good service from the craft folks, the new bits and pieces are really fab, you'll enjoy using those. I'm sorry that you've been laid so low, UTIs are proper pigs, I hope that the new meds finally knock it on the head.
Thank you for my gorgeous birthday card btw! Yours are in the post :-D

Oh bless you. You don't do things by half do you? I really hope that UTI is well on it's way out now....It's far too hot to feel poorly too.

Sorry you have been so under the weather. Hope you are soon feeling 100% again. Or at least the Shaz we know and love.
Gorgeous Christmas cards and the Brusho one has worked so well, it really does look the part. Are you going to attempt some more like that?
Great about the die, I complained about a mask order not coming (8th June it was ordered) so they sent a replacement last week and yesterday the original order arrived. I have written asking for an address to send it back but hoping they say to keep it. It has to go to Canada!
Take care, love the cat

How to tell you're an adult? More like how to tell you're old, LOL! And I can identify with every single point! Love the copy cat / cat scan meme! People have a lot of creativity to come up with these - or maybe just too much free time on their hands! I used to think there was just one type of antibiotics until my husband had to take them and they kept changing his prescription as nothing worked. Not so good when they're trying to cut down on using them - it's total guess work - it might work or it might not. Hopefully it's sorted now with your new drug. You're not missing anything in this heat anyway - I'd much rather just sleep through it too! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #19

LOL Shaz still chuckling over your last two pictures. Sorry to hear you have been poorly, I have been plagued by UTIs this last year and they are not fun and I'm sure you don't need that in the mix. Hope you are sorted soon. Loving being so organised with my Christmas stuff - I know it will make November and December much less stressful this year. Don't want to say goodbye to the sunshine but hope this heat breaks soon, it makes you feel that you are just existing from day to day!! Happy woyww, Stay well, stay safe, Cindy #15

I'm really sorry to hear how much you've been suffering with that wretched UTI, Shaz - utterly miserable for you! I do hope this last lot of antibiotics really does the trick. Your two funnies this week were absolutely brilliant! I'm afraid I have to identify with every one of the "adult" points (but happy to say I've dealt with the first one!) - and perhaps I'm not ALWAYS annoyed - just sometimes! We had a cat in Plymouth that always went on my hubby's photocopier in the office and one day he decided to photocopy her. I've still got the print-out somewhere. We never thought of calling it a cat scan or copy cat lol! Must tell him about this.

Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you enjoyed the pic of Ruby on the back of the chair. They do flop about when it's hot, like the rest of us lol! Glad you liked my red outfit, too.

Take care and get well soon!
Happy WOYWW,

Hi, Shaz!
Love the Cat Scan!! Or Copy Cat!

And I have another to add to the list of how to tell if you're getting old. MY husband says this ALL the time, "Get Off My Yard!"

Hope this week is kind to you and you continue to improve and gain your strength!

I love your stencil work! I am "hit or miss" with them. I just never show the ones in the bin!

Happy Wednesday!

I hope they’ve got a grip of it Shaz, it not fun is it, waiting for uselesss drugs to kick in. Ive had a particularly aggressive ear infection over the last ten days and an identical issue with antibiotics. Even had difficulty getting into the Dr because I had a slight temperature! Still pretty deaf and still needing painkillers once a day now, instead f every two hours, so I hope your improvement shows similar progress. The sign post cards are fab Missus, you must be pleased with them. The lamp post is really attractive too, I expect you’ll use that a billion times. The ‘you know you’re old..” oh please, none of those apply to me. *cough*

hi Shaz, Ooh I hope this is the round of meds that do the trick. Evidently I am adulting even when I do not know it lol.

Once those little bugs get in your system they take some shifting don't they. Hope the latest anti biotics do the trick. Definitely feeling VERY adult after reading your AND FINALLY -I hate to think how many times someone on tv in a very responsible position gets the "Well he/she only looks about 15!" comment from me. But then the girl in the supermarket made my day by saying I didn't look old enough to claim my over 60s discount - said it was my youthful demeanour! Lol - must have been my "rock chick" look! xxx Jo

Oh you poor pickle with the UTI and the trial and error with antibiotics. I've more or less decided on the surgery just need to find a date as even the private hospitals have been commandeered for NHS at present. A Frozen shoulder has a life cycle and can get better by itself but I think all the trying with the osteopath and steroid injection and physio was just prolonging the inevitable which is where I am now. We'll see.
Thanks for the visit BJ#6

Oh poor Shaz! That is exactly what my DH had after a week at home after his knee replacements. It put him on his back for a month! We did manage to find the right antibiotic after a few days (of course these things always come up on a weekend...) but it still hit him very hard. I hope are recovering quickly, it is definately NOT a fun thing to get. I hope you are feeling better, hubby is finally up and around too. Have a much better week (please!), Lindart #27
