Another week been and gone, and here in the Northern Hemisphere, Midsummers Day is now past, which means the nights gradually get longer from now on. So welcome one and all, and a big Thank You to our lovely Jan, and much love, for once again hosting the WOYWW group, whilst dealing with the sadness of her Dads death. And massive hugs and get well wishes going out to Julia, as she potters along this recovery road!
Not all that much happening on the desk, as the weather was nice at the weekend much of it was spent in the garden, and we also had to go visit my Mum, as last Wednesday was her birthday.
I have received another two ATC's, and I imagine that we've all had & sent out this years by now.
My ATC's this week, from Kyla on the left, and from LisaD on the right. A very appropriate sentiment on Lisa's for us British, lol.
After watching a few videos this week, I decided to pull out a couple of
stencils I bought at last years NEC Hobbycrafts. Both by Clarity, the one
on the left is called Jo's Bubbles, the other is Abstract #3.
I used these two with Inkylicious Blending Brushes at first.
This one used Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet DI.
These two used a variety of colours, and the stencil on the right is a third Clarity stencil, called Abstract Squares 2.
I'll do a post with these a little later in the week, as well as some others I made, finally making some use of the Gelli plate I was gifted.
So, works in progress at the moment, and this is the stack of backgrounds I've accumulated so far.

When I first saw those stencils I thought "I love the circle one" but seeing the work you have produced I think the other is my favourite now. Love how you have used all those colours. Guess what? I now want all three - now where is that search engine?
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
I agree with Neet! I usually go for circles, but I like the crazy paving type stencil very much, in both the colour ways. I bet you'll use those loads now you've started :-)
Hope you're feeling ok and the sciatica is going. Been thinking about you and meant to call, sorry, but life is a whirl right now. Dad's funeral is on the 27th so it should be a bit quieter next week.
Hugs, LLJ xxxx
Just like Neet and Jan I thought I liked the circle one best until I saw what you had done with the squares! They are gorgeous, the colours and shading are so yummy - you have sold that stencil to me!! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with all those lovely backgrounds.
Hope you have a great week,

You've created some lovely backgrounds with those stencils Shaz! I always find it shocking that the nights start getting longer on the first day of Summer - although it works the other way around in the Winter, so I guess that makes up for it! Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #29

Hi Shaz
I've got a few of those stencils too and like the rectangle clarity one. I have made a few cards with that one. Bless you for commenting on my running and breathing. Perhaps I'm mad at my age to want to keep fit and run 5K. Perhaps I should hang up the trainers and settle for a nice cool cider instead! You concentrate on getting yourself well too!
Hugs

the coloring on your stenciled backgrounds is so soft and dreamy Shaz, I love these :) ~Stacy #41
Shaz, LOVE those stencils from Clarity! I soo wish I could visit her digs, but since its across the waters, that won't be happening! I love Barbaras doings and I think you used her stencils up right! Love what you did with both especially the colorings! I have wanted to get those Inkylicious Blending Brushes, but talk myself out of them every time! Seeing your goodies has brought that back up! LOLOLOL Blessings, Felicia #40

Hi Shaz, very sensible Lol! If you are going to make background papers you may as well make lots and they are great. I will be interested to see how you use them.
