WOYWW #339

Well these weeks are just flying past, aren't they? Here we are, in the first week of December, and no, I'm not even slightly ready. Can we get it put back by a couple of months? But still, it's our weekly meet at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, to see what everyone is up to.
Photo taken Tuesday night, a hive of activity, which is my excuse for having a desk buried in stuff.
I'm using peel off greetings on my cards- not because I don't have stamps, I do, but I have a stupid amount of peel offs bought back in the day before I really got into stamping, and they are just standing on a shelf in a binder. So I want to get them used.
This is the finished card-I ended up swapping to a Versamark pad and gold EP, as I found that unless I cleaned the stamp every second or third time, the pigment ink was building up and blurring the detail.
And thats my offering this week- I'm getting shorter and shorter with these posts, have you noticed? It won't last, lol. See you all later, have a great week.

I think we all have mountains of print offs from back in the day, it feels good to use them up doesn't it? Your card is beautiful.
Have a good week

Great card ... funny/annoying how some inks need special attention to get the best out of them. Use up those stickers we all have some in the cupboards. Finding them is usually the problem. Have a good week.

Great card!
I know what you mean about the peel offs - my trouble is that if I see an idea about how to use them creatively - I file the idea along with the peel offs!!!!
Enjoy the week

I spent the last three months on 3D BD cards (Lots of birthdays in my family) so the Christmas cards that I made were flat and stamped. That was faster and less expensive for postage. Birthday cards are all done and mailed for 2015 -- it all begins again in January. Good thing I love crafting! Enjoy the pre-Christmas scramble. :)

Yes, I am using the peel-offs too (for the same reason), well, why not, they are not ugly and do the job.
That card with the black and gold is beautiful. Is the gold ink a Versamark?
Have a great week,
Lisca

I'm glad I'm not the only one using up my peel offs I have a pile on my desk to use up too. Mostly for inside the cards or on the envelopes hugs Nikki 9

I have been purging so much of what I haven't used in the last 10 years just to free some space for new stuff. Love your card!!! And I'm still trying to get more Christmas cards made! Happy WOYWW!

A very elegant and classy card, Shaz! B&W and gold always work! I sold all my peel-offs on ebay - I figured I'm never gonna use them. I'll probably need them at some point in the future though and then I'll be looking for them, having forgotten that I had previously sold them! Happened before! Have a great week! zsuzsa #34

I'm scared I have a pile of peeloffs somewhere too.... I find that even with Versamark the detail is better on the first than second inking, perhaps my pad is too wet... Great your getting yor cards done, happy woyww :)

The card looks great! I still can't wait to see the other one. And I've found I use VersaMark now for almost all my embossing...seems you always know what you're gonna get.
Have a great week!

I hoped you'd like the penguins!! Thought of you as soon as I saw them :-).
When I saw the peel offs, I thought you'd bought them from the Crop stash table! Good for you for using them...let's bust that stash :-)

Snap! I have more than a few sheets of peel-offs saved from the days before I found stamping too, Shaz. Love the finished card - the stamped image looks fab matted and layered like that. Many thanks for your earlier visit and for the advice on what to do with the external hard drive - as soon as I have a bit of time to spare I'll follow your suggestions. Doug should be prepared for a call for help just in case I get nowhere :) Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #41

You are doing great, Shaz - I know exactly what you mean about motivation and that awful can't be bothered feeling - I am nowhere near where you are yet, but give it time and I am sure Mr. Mojo will deign to show his face again. I've got loads of peel-offs that I don't use, so must start with them again - perhaps using them up on the cards I'm making for the chemo unit! Great idea - thanks.

Thank you for your lovely comment. It's so good to know I'm not the only one, and it does take time, doesn't it. Today I have felt completely wiped out but tried to get on with a few things that needed doing. I am sure as the days pass, I shall start to feel more normal again.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Shaz, I managed to find the Pear stamp and it's lovely though not used it yet. I agree with you about making next year's cards but I just tend to tidy up ready for Christmas and then just don't do it.
Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 19

LOL it won't last! I like that we're all so flakey about such things! That stamp continues to look fab I must say, not surprised that the detail fills in, it is incredibly fine across the solid pears innit!
Good to see you at your desk for periods of time,- numb bum inducing it is!

I hate cleaning stamps but make myself do it after every use. I do like that card and thank you for telling me about the fine embossing powder. Non available in shops here so will buy online. And it doesn't matter if your posts are short! Mine always seem too long!

I too have lots of peel offs and I have been using mine for the few bits I have done up to now.
Lovely card Shaz, reminds me of the Magenta type stamps.
