WOYWW #322

WOYWW? again, and there is quite a bit on my desk this week. Actually, this is the tidiest shot, there is worse to come. Been playing about with my new alphabet & Bird Crazy dies, 2 posts down, and made a card with them and the Bird Crazy stamps, in the post below this.

So, the next to worst photo:

Everything bar the kitchen sink, but there was no room for it!
And now, in all its terrible glory- those of you with a nervous disposition may want to go and hide behind the sofa, and peer through your fingers-

As I said, I made one card yesterday, and had idea for a couple more, so I'm working in the tried and trusted 'push it to one side and carry on' style. Except I'm about to run out of side.

This little fella will be taking a starring role, supported by a cast of die cut text.

In case you don't get down to the card post, here is my weekly enable: Sharpie markers are on sale in Tesco- multi colour packs, black packs, neons, all sorts. LOL. So thats my show & tell for this week, I'll be linking up with you all via Julia at The Stamping Ground, and see if anyone has made more mess than me!
Oh, by the way, the PET/CT scan went fine last Thursday, just waiting for the MRI appointment now, expecting it to be early next week.
Quick update:  Had a phone call this morning, and I have an appointment to see Mr Radley at the QE tomorrow afternoon.Apparently, he's on holiday for two weeks from next week, and wanted to see us beforehand. Fingers crossed this appointment goes better than the first, otherwise me and him will be having words!

Had to laugh at the desk. Everything but the kitchen sink that wouldn't fit! Really clever. Enjoyed the crazy bird birthday card. Lovely colors! Happy WOYWW from #2.

Cor Blimey Mrs ... you linked up early this week! I actually read your blog at stupid o'clock but couldn't comment from my mobile. SO at stupid o'clock I struggled to see the pics properly on the tiny mobile screen, in the dark, kinda half asleep but not able to sleep and with the reading glasses from the pound shop that we keep in the bedroom and simply could not work out what you meant by "behind the letters" ... duh!!!! I thought you had die cut the COLOURED letters and stuck them on ... penny finally dropped! I did not like those bird dies AT ALL until I saw what people are doing with them and, oh, if only it were not for "colouring in" I'd get them! Really don't need to add them to my collection though so all is good. I love that card ... especially the white on white lettering - going to have to give that a go for sure. Love to you dear Shaz from Debbie #noidea xXx

How is it that the saying goes....'You can't make an omlette without breaking eggs'. It's the same when you're being creative isn't it? You can't be creative without making a mess. :-) That's my excuse.

That desk looks fun and busy. I love your crazy bird card and enjoyed reading your tutorial and tips. I don't have those crazy bird stamps but I really must get them and the dies look as if they cut really close. Loved reading your post. Have a lovely week Shaz. Barb#20 xx

Oooh, hiding behind the settee lol! I couldn't actually spot any daleks on your desk, Shaz, but that's what sent me scuttling behind the settee in the old days!! (Actually I was more terrified of the cybermen who gave me nightmares for weeks!)

What a lovely tidy desk. (Not...) But never mind, untidy desks belong to creative minds!

Thanks for your visit and for trawling through all my experimental posts! I am having quite a bit of success now, and am going to return to the UTEE and have another go! It's all tremendous fun and I'm enjoying it a lot. I don't usually have time for "pure research" but we all need to do it sometimes as it's a springboard for new ideas!

Hope you get the date for your MRI soon, and that you will soon get an admission date and get all this horribleness well and truly behind you. It's been a long year!

Glad about the scan.
I went to Tesco yesterday and very deliberately did not go down the stationery aisle....all that back to school stuff! But now I have to. I really want neon sharpies! I will post a PIC next week, had an ATC from Diane off T Tuesday and its mostly coloured in neons and is a stunner! Love the view of your desk, that you finally have more inclination to play and mojo flowing. Love love the birds, just think the dies might be too fiddly for me!!

Hi Shaz, great to hear the scan went well, and glad you have been making some fabulous cards...I see them... and love those crazy birds - they're on the top of my wish list. Messy desk is just the best thing, gives us something to do when our mojo is low. Have a great week, thinking of you RobynO#22

Lovely glorious mess! Thats what we want to see. Your little birdie is so crazily cute. He reminds me a bit of Calimero the cartoon chick.
I looked at your other posts to see the cards. Great!
Good that you are seeing the consultant tomorrow. Keep us updated. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and send you good vibes (and prayers).
Thanks for visiting earlier,
have a good week,

You know, your desk has a good scattering of STUFF on it but you can tell it has all been used or considered for use lately. It isn't like there is so much stuff you don't know what is there. I'll bet it picks all up pretty easily. And what is this "Faint of heart look away now" stuff? Who in WOYWW is faint of heart???! LOL! I have a gift certificate for a stamp/scrap place in town. I got it for Christmas and hadn't used it because they are open M-F, 9-5 which means I'm at work and I never think of it the few weekdays I've had off. But, I have it planned for next week when I'm off for dental surgery (you know a treat for surviving) and I'm going to look for the Crazy Bird dies. Yep. And maybe one other thing. LOL! Judy #49

Those crazy birds are fab! And I find the floor to be a great "set aside for later" works too; as long as I can walk in and out...
Good luck with your Dr. appt. I hope it goes well.

Your cards are looking great, such a fun way to use experiments, and I'm starting to feel I need letter dies... Besides, I wouldn't call your mess too bad :) Hope your appointment goes well, happy woyww!

Hi Shaz,
It has been a long time since I have had a chance to run around Blogland and visit.

How have you been? You have been in my thoughts, even though I haven't been visiting.

Love those bird stamps and have really be resisting the urge to buy them. I think they are just adorable.

No WOYWW # I'm just doing a little catching up on some of the blogs I follow.

Hi Shaz, everyone seems to have gone Crazy Bird mad recently. I have to admit I am busy colouring some of these too. Love the card you've made. I've seen those packs of Sharpies but like you I need to use some of what I already have before buying new pens. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a good woyww and happy crafting. Angela x 19

Those crazy birds are fab...if your desk was REALLY messy I imagine they'd be building nests in the nooks and crannies! Good luck with your appt :-)

Apologies for such a late visit Shaz, but I've been busy with visitors this weekend. I can certainly relate to your comment on 'push it to one side and carry on'... that seems to be my mantra.
You have a great space for your creativity there.
Have a great week. Neesie #48

Forgot to say - think they are all Krafty Lady moulds from Oz but you can get them from the Craft Bug - Jane Pinder's site. May have the name wrong but look up the moulds and there will probably be a link. Had them years.
