WOYWW #184

First things first,I had my gorgeous Angel from Jozarty, as part of her Angel swap. I had it a couple of weeks ago, but waited to post till most had arrived with their new owners. Here she is, on my mini easel stand at the moment- still trying to hide the dust layers, lol.
Second, thanks to everyone for their good wishes- and the lefthanded typing is coming along famously- I can now use all five digits :).
I am also somewhat surprised to discover just how many body parts want to get in on the action whenever you sneeze/cough/laugh!
Here we are then, at the weekly snoop we all know & love, thanks as always to our own Julia of The Stamping ground. Computer based stuff is about all I can do at the moment, so I am using the time to tidy up all my folders (now I know why I kept putting it off), watch some Stampscapes vids, a few other tutorials and stuff, been poking around galleries-getting all sorts of great ideas and I can't do any of them!
I also can't do anything on my new room, so Beloved Husband is having to do it all, as well as pretty much wait on me hand & foot, and go to work. So I hope he knows just how much I appreciate him, even though  I am not exactly the worlds best patient!

Here's what he's been up to so far:
After all the walls & ceiling were plastered (not by hubby), a few days wait for them to dry out,and then the painting started.

This has to be a first for me, White walls, lol.

That has all dried now, and next job was laminating the floor, and today he has started putting the new doorframe & skirting boards in.

If all goes according to plan, that will get varnished on Friday and the wallpaper put on the chimney breast wall over the weekend.

So in theory, he will be putting the furniture together early next week.

Well, thats my round up for the week, it'll be a few more yet before there is anything arty or crafty appearing on my desk, unfortunately. Have a great week, hope you've all got your Christmas shopping finished, I can't believe how close it is!

Oh Shaz, poor you, I wish I could help in some way, been there before myself when I had my right wrist replaced and was out of action for weeks - but your typing is excellent. Thanks for your comment on my blog, had an idea for wrapping your pressies - buy some brown (or white) paper bags with handles, stamp them, put the pressie in and pop some tissue in the top and perhaps hubby could help with a ribbon to close them. Hope you keep improvinhg. Hugs, Anne x #21

It's amazing how you manage when you have to and it looks as though you are doing really well. Hope it's a quick healing.
Great to see my/your angels today. You should copy/paste the oic of your angel from my blog and add it to your blog as a record.
Lot of work completed on the home front and it won't be long before you are all sorted.
Hugs Jo x

I am glad that you're making slow but steady progress - that's great news. Your room is starting to look amazing as well, what a transformation!
But I have to tell you, I have fallen in love with the angel you made JoZart - she is by far the most glamorous one I've seen yet. You clever thing, you!!!

I'm afraid I missed your post when you described that awful fall - I am sooo sorry you hurt yourself so badly, and that it turned out worse than you'd expected. I hope it mends really quickly and that you will soon be fully up and running again. Take care of yourself and try and resist the temptation to help your hubby out before the shoulder is properly mended!!

The room is coming on great. I am really envious! We are hoping for a move in the not too distant future and if we do end up getting the house we really want, I've got Big Plans for one of the rooms upstairs - designing a new ARTHaven from scratch and getting it exactly how I want!!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - glad you're making headway with Inkscape. It's not an easy prog but now I'm getting into it it's becoming more intuitive, and each time I use it I seem to learn something new! I'm amazed at how powerful a free program can be.

Happy WOYWW, and do take care!

Christmas shopping finished - I WISH!!! I am still only half way through writing the wretched cards - bored now. I need to make one more card for the DT thing, make the mince pies, work out how I am going to feed the five thousand on Christmas Eve, keeping the dogs, food and children all in separate rooms for 24 hours, wrap that huge tractor and trailer and all the other things I have already probably lost. I am taking the countdown off my blog, it is depressing me too much. Hope you take care of yourself and allow your shoulder to heal properly. Speak to you soon. xx Maggie #33

Just had a look back through your blog-goodness me - what a dreadful thing to happen! Looks as though we have the same tastes in stamps-although I don't buy many skulls I did buy that Tim one! Well done for persevering with the left handed typing! As for your craft room it looks as though hubby is getting along fine -and I'm sure he knows that you appreciate him! Chrisx
