WOYWW #599- The Shameless Enabling Edition

Back again for our regular Wednesday blog fest, thanks to our lovely leader, Julia over at The Stamping Ground.  Just a week until our HUGE 600th edition, and just over a week till our virtual Crop via Zoom.
So, my shameless enabling then- a few new Lavinia stamps- loving those owls- and some of the new Distress pads in the latest colour.
The reason for nothing but enabling on my desk is that once again, I was back in UTI land, and then I decided to round that off with a weekend in Sciatica City. I like to get around, lol. But so far the UTI seems to have gone, and the Sciatica as well. So, fingers are being kept extremely crossed.

Next item has a bit of a back story. A set of 24 Zig Clean Color markers. I'd seen them used on some HoneyDoo cards, and also by Jennifer MacGuire, and being water based, looked fairly easy. They run out at about £1.30ish a marker, so finding a pack of 24 on E-Bay for just under £20 was a bargain. Shipped from a UK seller, so no long wait. So I thought. After having the delivery date pushed back twice, I messaged and asked if they could give me a definite delivery date. Next thing I know, I've got a refund for them, so that was that. Moving ahead about 4 weeks, and I get a package from Japan. No idea what it is, not ordered anything from there. Turns out to be the Zig markers! So, thank you, unknown Japanese company.

Which brings us round to .......And Finally.......

I love Zig clean colour pens but they are a ridiculous price in the UK. Well worth the wait if you can find them at a decent price on ebay or Amazon from Japan. Thanks for the enabling lol. STay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

That last funny made me hoot - all those things that I was going to get done and now it’s nearly December! Who ate the time this year?? I’m so sorry you’ve been suffering with the UTI again, sigh, I’m glad you’re feeling better now. Looking forward to seeing you on the Zoom Crop, lovely gal, it’s seems like AGES since we last met up.

Hi Shaz. Oh - so sorry you have been unwell again. I do indeed trust that both problems have been booted into nowhere!!! Take care of yourself. Loving the enabling - and goodness... what a surprise package! Great. Have fun. That second and finally had me laughing out loud! Yes, me too. I have loads still on my wish-I-had-time-for-that list!
Take care. God bless.

Oh lord, save me from excuses about not having time...I try not to say it, honest!! Shameless, shameless enabling. I don’t know how you can. Those pens....love the story, they shouldn’t claim shipping from thenUk if it’s not true, I don’t know why they didn’t just ‘fess up and let you know they were waiting...you probably would have been ok to wait! Gawd missus, I thought the UTI trip was over, I hate to say this but have you considered that the coffee is an irritant? Just something that was suggested to me while I was laying in a hospital bed...stay off the coffee because if you’re a bit low, it’ll contribute to a uti. God knows how you’ll substitute it though! So sorry about the sciatica, it’s all so inconvenient for you, my fingers crossed too that you’ve seen the back of that. Pardon the pun.

Oh bless you. I'm so sorry to hear you've been suffering again but I will be keeping everything crossed for you that its all gone now and stays away too.
Really looking forward to the zoom crop...I've had a go this morning and think I'm all set up for it now:-)

I'm really sorry to hear you've been suffering - UTI's and Sciatica are just awful and I'm really glad it looks like they've fianlly cleared up. I had terrible problems with UTI's a few years ago and was advised by a specialist to ease off acidic things like red wine, vinegar, tomatoes - it certainly helped and even now I don't have vinegar as it seems to aggravate things. Just a thought anyway.
I love the enabling - I really need that stag stamp! The funny really made me laugh at the end, so very true!
Hope you have a good and pain free week,
Hugs, Diana xx #21

Hi Shaz, I feel for you with the Sciatica as I know how painful it can be and it reappears sometimes for no good reason. I have Zig watercolour brush pens and love them but don't know these. If they had been more honest with you they would have been paid so they got what they deserved and you got some lovely pens. Sending hugs and wishes for a happy woyww, Angela x17x

How did you conquer the sciatica? Sure takes you out, doesn’t it?
Anxious to see your makes with the new brush pens.
Take it easy. Hope to “see” you soon on Zoom.

Stay free of Covid.

Oh, you're so lucky with those markers, Shaz! Things like that never happen to me LOL. Enjoy playing with the new markers - I'm a sucker for pen/pencil/marker/crayon sets even though I rarely use them. There's just something nice about having a full set. Happy #599 - see you next week, hopefully! xx zsuzsa #29

Nice stamps! Love the leaf spray a LOT.
As always, the little funnies at the end slay me! How lovely to get a little freebie. I had sort of similar from Knit Picks! I ordered some needles (a set, to match the ones I already had, different sizes) and they sent me a set, different colourway. I got back to them to say lovely yes thank you but not what I ordered. They sent me the new set but told me to keep the first ones. They were not a £5 item - the say was like £30! It certainly made me think kindly towards then in all my other dealings over the years so I guess that £30 bought them a LOT of good will!
Happy WOYWW!

Hope you are feeling better from your travels on the UTI merry-go-round - I have heard of 4 friends who have suffered with it over the last couple of months! I think Julia might be right about coffee but it's hard to go without. I loved the funnies. Have you heard of Mrs Yorkshire The Baking Bard? She has been keeping me amused through lockdown. xx Jo

I got the floral wreath too but so far have not used it. Lost it and now I have an upset tum so still not used. I too had a uti - I think there is something happening as I know so many who have had them recently.
Those markers were a real bargain weren't they? Are you sure you didn't order them earlier?
