WOYWW #566- The Bored with UFO's Edition

I am so done with my UFO's again, so the ones left are going back in their storage wallets till the urge to finish them comes round again. This is what the desk looked like while I was doing some finishing off.
Just about to stamp up the inserts, then the backs.

A small selection of them ready to bag and put away.

Which means I can create some new ones, to replace the ones I've used, lol.

Did a small batch of those inked panel backgrounds, ready to do some stamping on in a while.

And now for what's been missing for a few weeks- The Enabling section.

Two batches this week- A few new Alcohol Ink colours, and one of the blower thingys. I've been using a straw, but apparently thats not ideal, as you can inhale fumes when drawing breath, plus, I run out of puff too easily.
So bought the gadget. Also two of the Alloys, slightly different to the older Mixatives, these are much thinner, more the consistency of normal Alcohol ink.

And a few supplies from Lavinia- some stamps, two new Clair inkpads and some Lavinia Glitter. A few of these will get stamped onto those backgrounds above.

I hope everyone and their families are keeping well and virus free.

So, apart from leaving my link over at Julias place, The Stamping Ground, I'm done.

Which just leaves.....................And Finally.....................

Don't blame you for being done with UFO's but well done ... loving the new cards with the bands of colour. Great enabling, too! As for the funny = given some people still going out and about - it obviously isn't kicking in! take care Helen #?

Have so enjoyed my days of Shaz on FB with your cards, hope you still post on #Cheers. I do love those with the diecut corners and the pretty backgrounds peeking through. Can imagine I will fall in love with the strip ones when you do something else to them (not that I don't like them now, I do, very much).
Your enabling is great, I have a blower but it was given me for something else years ago but those new Alloys sound interesting, will wait to see you use them.
Your Lavinia stamps, what is the one to the left of the glitter please? Two tiny images which would work well for me on my books. Sadly some of them are too large for what I want but I can get away with some of them.
You and Doug stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Can't wait to see the end results of cards with the band of soft colours. The UFO's have turned out brilliantly at least you achieved quite a few projects this week. Mine has been one interruption after another. Love your funny..... so true. Stay safe.

It's never going to kick in because I refuse to grow up in the first place :-D *grin* You've done so well with the UFOs but I understand the desire to start something fresh. I've sort of finished my sewing pile so am going to do some painting I think....great ideas but let's see how that turns out, lol! Between gardening in the lovely weather, trying to exercise every day, practise my tuba and attempting to improve my Welsh, I'm running out of hours!!

Hi Shaz - you will see from my silly photo that I shall never be old enough!! Life is too short to miss an opportunity! It's good to get a few UFO s finished but nice to start afresh on something. This week I shall be mostly making rainbows. Keep well and keep safe. xx Jo

Interesting purchases.... I bought some Yuppo paper and had hoped to get some alcohol inks at the paperfair at the Motorcycle Museum but that went by the board!! I will be interested to see your creations using these inks.
Thanks so much again for all the funnies you both post on facebook, they really cheer me up.
Have a good week, stay safe

I saw those inked backgrounds of yours (last week I think?) and was in ooh and awe, and I still am today. I should take a note to try it myself later this week, 'cause I do love those 'colored stripes'. And that's some fun materials you got there, have fun creating 'cause that's all that we can do now: stay home, stay safe and create! Big hug from Holland. Marit #23

I know where you are coming from with the UFO's think that's why we never seem to get through them all there's so much more to explore.. Those backgrounds will make the next batch much quicker to finish always like to have backgrounds prepped for a quick card make. Nice new stash Shaz, i'm still thinking on the puffer but it's something you definitely need in your life if you've been using a straw you need to save your breath for better things.. Look forward to the next batch of loveliness, stay safe & well & happy WoywW Tracey #24 xx

I do love your die-cut cards, Shaz. I really must design some cutting files along these lines! They make such effective cards. Love the enabling, too! I don't know much about the new alloy alcohol inks yet. I think I've got a puffer bulb thingy like that somewhere, with the stuff I inherited from Dad. I know he had one for his camera, but I think there's a bigger one that he used for blowing dust off clock parts. Must look for it! I don't blame you for getting fed up with dealing with UFOs. I'm afraid I hate UFOs so much that I never seem to get round to tackling them at all!!

Thank you for your visit - so glad you like the mandalas. I re-gessoed them today and sanded them, and they are ready for colouring - unfortunately all that highlighting seems to have disappeared as they dried! Oh well. I may make another batch without the oops moment. I'm glad you like the garden, too - I like to share a different view of "outdoors" with people at the moment because we can't go out!

Keep safe and well, both of you, and happy WOYWW,

You got quite a ways on your UFO's!
Love the die cut cards! And your inked panels are beautiful! Looking forward to what you'll do with those!
Never heard of the blower tool. Interesting. Hope it works well for you.
Great new products! I haven't bought anything in ages.
Funny quote. I have a stamp that says "Hill, what hill? I didn't see any hill."
Have a great Easter!

I am happy to see some of your finished cards. I think they are so pretty. I am glad you showed them completed with sentiments so I could see them again. I hear you about putting things away until the mood strikes. You should be happy to have completed so many this go around. Stay well, my friend.

Hi Shaz, you've done a great job on finishing so many UFOs, but I can understand wanting to start on something new. The ink panel backgrounds will be great for the Lavinia stamps - looking forward to seeing them. I have no idea what the blower is for, but it sounds better than using a straw, for sure. I am slowly but surely building up my collection of Clair inkpads - I think they are my favourite. Lovely clear stamps each time. Have a lovely week and stay safe, hugs Heather xx #27

Hi Shaz, new stash! loving it. I think you've done so well with the UFOs just wish I had your staying power, no wonder you're ready to do something new. My job with the cabin is my only excuse for not doing the same but I am finding stuff that should have been used up years ago. I must find some way that makes me happy to use up all those patterned papers I bought years ago and never used. It's crazy, I'm happy with papers I make myself but just can't get my head round the patterned ones, I've even thought of turning them over and using the back to do my own work on, how crazy is that. I need help to use them up I think. Wishing you a happy woyww and lots of crafty thoughts to keep you busy, Angela x15x

I haven't got as far as UFOs yet, but I probably will. I like the idea of those panels, must have a go at those, and I do like your Lavinia stamps, look forward to seeing what you do with those.

Oh would you believe, the day I join in for over a year's absence, the broadband breaks! Yep we were without for 24 hours but now it is fixed, horrah!

Loving the cards, needed some ideas to make some myself as sorely lacking in that department lately. I have a blowy thing with a pen attachment from Tim Holtz, it would probably do the same thing (without pen attached) methinks. Oh and the second desk with hares, my maiden name!

Thanks for the visit BJ#19

Great cards and I particularly ulat your inked panel ones. Do you use a template or just lay strips of paper done over the card? I think I shall have a go. Stay safe x Angela #35

Hi Shaz! I love the Lavinia stamps! I have the fairy, but none of the others. I really like the bunnies. I think these would look awesome one your backgrounds that you made! I love watching the Lavinia videos, just when I think they are done, they do more incredible things to it! Glad you are keeping busy and safe, thanks for your visit, Lindart #29

So sorry to be late in a week when I have apparently, nothing on! so I’d like to hear about your take on the Clair inkpads (if I haven’t missed a post already). I’m at the point of needing a couple of new and I’m so far out of the loop these days! I love that you’re done with the UFOs, it makes me happy that there is a limit! I’ve only ended up with about a dozen cards made from scraps and I’m already bored by doing them! Well done you, you’ve finished a load, and I think you’re fully entitled to start a new pile! I’m excited to see them! I like the sponged strip very much- definitely intend to try that. I’ve tried being a grown up - don’t bother, chum. Big fat illegal but totally safe hugs to you both.

Fair play for moving onto something else to make-your UFO's have been SO productive (and putting us to shame!!) ;-)

Darn your enabling, I watched the Tim Holtz alcohol ink session the other week and thought, "ooh I don't need them...." then again, maybe......
