WOYWW #525- The Holiday Edition!

Yep, next week we'll be MIA, as tomorrow we are off to Kos for 10 days. So I'll get around to as many people as possible who have joined in at The Stamping Ground, all kept organised by our lovely leader, Julia, before we go in the morning.

On my desk for this week is a card made to send to Ian, Condolences for Erika.  The stamp set is new this week- I'll show them further down- from her beloved Visible Image,  it was the words that went with this set that made me feel they were perfect for this. And it had to be colourful, as that was Erika too. The image was heat embossed, and I used an Encore Metallic pad that has 4 colours across it- pink, purple, blue & green.

Also on the desk some ATC's for a swap in one of the Lavina Stamps pages on Facebook. The backgrounds are as far as I've got for now, so they'll get finished when we get back.

And now for my regular Enabler part of the post 😀😇😉.

First are 4 new Visible Image stamp sets, there are more in this release, but these were the ones that got my attention.

Popped into The Works earlier in the week, and got these two dies.

I have one like the circle Happy Birthday, but it doesn't have stars in it. The other says Wedding Day. Also from The Works, this paper pad. Suitable size for smaller cards, notecard size, and the sort of colours that will work fine for masculine cards. And I think thats pretty much it from me, apart from wishing Helen (StampingbyH) a very Happy Birthday today.  Which just brings us round to......And Finally.......................................

Made me think of Debbie Rock (TatteredRocks) when I saw this.

I think the card for Ian is perfect (as if they could be) and very Erika. Hope you have a fabulous holiday and thanks for the birthday wishes. Helen #?

The card is so right Shaz. Hope you have a great holiday and that it doesn't get unbearably hot for you. See you in two weeks. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #?

Sorry. Had to reboot. My internet is on the fritz.

That was the absolute perfect sentiment for Erika's card. And the colors were perfect, too.

I am in LOVE with that "just breathe" set of stamps. I actually like the skeleton and the heart. It's too bad I can't get those here.

Had to laugh at your "finally" this week. Happy WOYWW from #1.

From what you are all saying about Erika those words on that stamp set are just perfect, made for her. I cannot remember her but the name of her blog does ring a bell. Such a shame that she had to go but God's garden is so much richer for her smile and I am sure she is painting the flowers up there.
Now you go off and enjoy your holiday. I do hope the sunshine - and the cocktails of course - are all waiting for you when you arrive. Take lots of photos and keep us informed as to how things are going.
Much love to you and Doug.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Beautiful words for a beautiful Soul Shaz, a wonderful card to show how much Erika's spirit touched many hearts.
Enjoy your holiday, switch off and think of nothing.. I feel like I need another already! Thanks for sharing WoywW but I wish i'd not seen those Visible image stamps as i've hidden my crafty wish list this month.

P.S Spilt Glitter... i've been there down that. Glitter & 30 pre-school children is not always a good idea :/

Perfect little card and what a lovely thing to be able to say about Erika. The "and finally" is so true - especially as an infant's teacher - my cleaner was always after me for spoiling her nice clean classroom carpet!

My carpet is not so glittery but does have hundreds of tiny parchment crosses spread liberally after a session of parchment gridwork. They are not good to step on with bare feet as they are quite sharp and spiky. Hope you have a great time in Mos. From the look of the weather forecasts, I hope you have packed giant bottles of sunscreen, and remember to drink lots of water. Have fun. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #9

The card and especially the sentiment are so right for Erika, I hope the card helps Ian. Have a wonderful time in Kos, it'll be a well deserved break for you both.

Love your post this week. The card is lovely and I love the sentiment you used. Also just crazy about the glitter picture and actually saved it to my desktop to use for myself. I glitter everything and one day I glanced down at my little Yorkie sitting under my desk and she had glitter on her little face! When your fur baby wears glitter you know you are a true glitter girl!

Hope you have a great holiday both of you.....soooo deserved.
Lovely card to remember a special friend by....I didn't know her but from what others have said she was very special.
I chuckled at your 'and finally' today....only in my case it was beads [and boy dont they roll to the far corners of the room?!!]

Love the card you made for Erika's husband - those words are perfect. I never knew her but from Julia's post she sounds wonderful. I had to half-laugh/half-groan at your 'And finally' because Alex tried his hand at heat embossing this week and got my glittery embossing powder simply everywhere! Just as bad, if not worse, than plain glitter! Happy WOYWW. Have a lovely time in Kos. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#15)

Thanks for the tip about the Gorilla Glue! So far my pad is holding but if it falls apart again, I'll try the G.G.
Interesting stamp sets. Not quite my cup of tea but I am looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

I didn't know Erika but that card you made will warm the heart of her hubby, I'm sure. Right now you are on Kos, wowzah - enjoy enjoy! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog before you took off, I am late with my visit due to tropical days in the Netherlands (too warm to sit at the computer in the atelier - too hot to do anything really...) Enjoy your holiday, warm hug from Holland, Marit #7
