A warm welcome to all my visitors,

Thank you for taking the time to come and look at my blog, I really do appreciate it. I would love you to leave me a comment, even if it’s just to say Hi. It means I can come visit you!

All my designs are original, so copyrighted to me. If I have been inspired by someone elses work, I have named them in the post, and where able, I have provided a link.

Please feel free to use my designs for inspiration, I just ask you to credit me, and provide a link back to my blog.

Thanks, Shaz XX

WOYWW #462

Hi folks, back again for another WOYWW as we settle into April. Our lovely leader Julia, awaits your link over at The Stamping Ground, so do go visit her if you're new here, and read about WOYWW, and especially about Septembers Crop, and also Donna's September retreat.
So to start with- what I did at the weekend, lol. Meet crafting friends and spend money at Ally Pally!

Mainly stamps purchased this time round - Lavinia, VI,Cardio, Paper Artsy, and some fab Woodware birds, as well as some great Phill Martin Collage stamps, amongst others. Link to the full blog post here.

Think this was the bargain of the day though- when I tipped them out at home, there was 60 stamps in the bag, mixed sentiments and images, for £3.

In other news, HERE is a link  to a post about the Gilding Waxes. Seems that Cosmic Shimmer ones are not alone in drying out. Another fix suggested by one of my commenters is Food Grade Glycerine, which should be easy to find in any supermarket baking aisle.
And HERE you can find the Retiform Technique cards I made from last week.
Best part of the day was meeting friends at Ally Pally. Met up with Helen early on, and we both forgot to take a picture,😉. Also met up with a FB friend, Dawn Geater, whilst we were visiting the Visible Image stand, but again didn't get a picture.

Pictures I did get: Dolores (Cardarian) and her Hubby Alan.

Erika Philpott and Cindy Ashplant - respectively Sum Bunneh and Plants List.

Cindy & Erika doing a Make & Take at Lavinia stamps, and we stopped by to say our goodbyes, as we were totally worn out!

I also met the lovely Sylvie, who takes part in the Christmas Card Club that I'm in. She had come over for the whole weekend with a friend, from Gibraltar- which makes any craft travelling we do pale in comparison!

Think you can tell from my face that my feet hurt! As did Dougs, we'd been there all day.

This was at dinner the night before- a mojito or two may have been consumed.

But I don't think you'd truly want to drink too much alcohol in the restaurant- this was the tiled floor!
I loved it, such a great optical illusion, however I have to admit to my first thought being-' I've got an embossing folder like that'

Just remembered, and Finally..............

Aww, it was so lovely to see the pics of everyone meeting up! I thought Dolores had already had her op, didn't realise she was still waiting. I'm so glad you had a great time and the new stash is gorgeous, you're going to have such a good time playing with that lovely little lot.
Have fun!

It goes without saying that it's obvious you all had a good time. I popped over to the other post too. I am beginning to wonder whether these companies have any stock left after seeing your shopping and Helens. Have a lovely woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x12x

I felt a case of deja vu as I was here on Sunday visiting and envying all your purchases. What a fab hubby you have Shaz - love seeing you two together so will miss you at Port Sunny which, I guess, pales into something else given Ally Pally.
Love all your purchases.
Hugs, Neet 2 (thanks for visiting me) xx

Wow looks like you got some great bits at Ally Pally. Thanks for your comment, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to show the finished boxes for a while, its a bit of a grey area and I don't want to get in trouble with the publishers! Happy Woyww! Emma #4 x

I've not been to Ally Pally in years - I keep forgetting and then see everyones posts and realise I've missed it yet again. Maybe September.

Thanks for coming to see me already :) I think my daughter has designs on my workshop now ;)

Have a lovely week,

Two weeks in a row - hope you are impressed!
Glad you got to Ally Pally & had such a great time - you certainly got some fab goodies.
Bloomin’ annoying when the mojo is there but struggle anyway - ho-hum - just got to go with the flow I guess. Love to you from Debbie xxx

Sounds like you had a wonderful day (albeit painful at the end), so nice that hubby comes along too! I love that you thought of an embossing folder when you saw the floor! LOL! You picked up some lovely toys, but I always love the grab bags best! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #29

WOW you made a haul at Ally Pally! Love the new stamps! I scrolled back to see that post on Sunday and girl you made a haul. I love the little blender tools. I think Chuck and Doug would get along! It seems that he thinks it is a lost cause to try and stop my stash crusade! I am sad because the Stamp and Scrapbook show here is in June in Dallas and I am going to be gone on a cruise! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my desk earlier! Vickie#32

Hugs to you, Shaz. Here's the video where this woman and many of the commenters used the food-grade glycerin on Inka Gold, which is a water-based rub-on wax paste. I have also used this and it works for me. I found mine in the baking aisle. xoxo
