WOYWW #453

Good Morning everyone, and welcome to our tour of the desks, courtesy of our leader, Julia, over at The Stamping Ground.
Been doing some reorganising and tidying this week, and had a change around on the desk-behind-the-desk. I've probably just given myself more room to pile stuff, but it's the thought that counts.😁
There were Christmas cards made at the weekend, in the post below this one.

Three of the new Oxide colours bought- I'm only buying the colours that really appeal to me in the Oxides, I have enough inkpads to stock a shop, and that's not an exaggeration.

Speaking of new releases, did you see the new TH/Tonic Guillotine? Whilst the colour may be different, it is identical to my X-Cut one, which I've had for probably 10 or so years. Even down to the extension ruler which fits underneath. Leading me to wonder if Tonic & X-Cut are the same company?

Whatever, if the Tonic one is as reliable as this one, which cuts as well now as it did the day I bought it, it'll be a good purchase when you need one.
I also have a smaller X-Cut Guillotine, and that too looks identical to the small Tonic/TH one.

Beloved Hubby bought a music CD/DVD which arrived from France back last week. Just look at all these fab stamps that were on the envelope! Mind you, if that was genuinely the cost of the postage, and they are Euros and cents, that's almost £40 worth of stamps!  Shan't complain about postage costs over here ever again.

Some playtime with Brusho's onto smooth watercolour cardstock earlier today. Ready for some images to be stamped on top.

And finally.....................

great funny again! Love brusho bases for your cards. Surely Tonic and X Cut must be linked in some way, otherwise that is a serious case of plagiarism or copyright infringement - but several other items come to mind too Bet the X-Cut is cheaper!! Helen #??

Love the hanging baskets over your desk Shaz. I've been naughty and bought all the Oxides. Love the Brusho backgrounds too. Will link up myself later when I get to my computer. Have a good week. Sarah #?

I love your desk full of rainbow colours Shaz. If I tried the Japanese decluttering then I’d be left with a room full of fabrics to stroke 😀😀😀
Hope you have a great week.

Clever girl to end your post with such a perfect giggle. Love the collection of stamps and I am sure you will put them to great use. I imagine postage will get even more expensive. Enjoy your stamping on those brush's.

Lol, I'd throw out the Vodafone bill too...seriously, how much???! Your desk looks so neat and organised, I love it! You look as though you've been having fun with the Brushos - what great colours. Max effect for min input, I like that ;-D
Those stamps are amazing, I'm not surprised you saved them...but seriously, the cost of that postage is scary!

Postal costs keep on rising here in the Netherlands too... it sometimes keeps me from sending stuff weighting more than a postcard, or doing give-aways. I love the bright colors of your brush-pages - enjoy working on those pages! Happy woyww, warm hug from Holland. Marit #26

Great funny, love it. I haven't seen the TH Tonic guillotine but I have an old one by this company and you are right they look exactly the same as the X-Cut and it's the best and most reliable one I've every had. Thanks for the visit to mine and hope you have a very happy woyww, Angela x17x

Shaz, what a great craft space! Here's hoping that it doesn't give into the "piles!" LOL Love those colors of oxides that you got! I do the same in buying only what appeals! I don't have any oxides yet, but I'm seeing some really great crafting from them! What great stamps to save! I love unique ones! Playtime with the Brusho's looks promising! Those colors really POP! By the way, those bins underneath are "eye candy!" Would love to rummage through them! LOLOL Me thinks I will try the "Japanese decluttering" technique...hee hee Have a great rest of the week! Hi Shaz, the 'and finally' hit the mark - I'm still smiling. I love the Brusho pieces - they are going to make great backgrounds for whatever images you choose. I love Brushos. My jaw dropped when I read the cost of those stamps ... and I'm left wondering what did Doug pay for the CD/DVD? I have a small Tonic guillotine and a bigger Purple Cows one but neither has that very useful extension ruler. Both are still as sharp and precise at cutting as on the day I bought them too. I might be the only crafter that does not have a single Oxide pad because I have more than enough DI pads to keep me going for now. Enjoy the new space to pile stuff on and have a great week Off to look at your Christmas cards now. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

Hi Shaz, I love your nice tidy area. Will it be tidy next week???:)

The inks are nice colours. The cutter looks heavy duty.

Are you a stamp collector?

Like your backgrounds.

Did chuckle at the quote:)

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

OH Wow On the postage stamps and I am impressed with how vibrant the backgrounds are with the brusho's Shaz.
Oh yes, I think more of those tins will be needed eventually but, I have most those tiny bottles in drawers and only take out one or two at a time So I think because, when I use alcohol inks I tend to do handfuls of colors at once having them be portable was more my big thing. :) ~Stacy #35

Oh, Shaz, , I love the quote! Thanks for the smile! Your desk really looks nice, and you know, because you already been there, that mine is a mess! Yours makes me want to go clean it off! I love to get messy with the oxides or brushos! So fun! Thank you, Shaz for visiting my Blog already! Happy WOYWW!

LOL! Love the poster at the bottom! I agree with you about the oxides, I have so many Distress Inks, and now Oxides, I have to be choosy! As far as your guillotine, I still use the old fashioned very dangerous kind - I have 3! One has been in my family as long as I can remember! Your Christmas cards are gorgeous, I really like the dark blue one! Looking forward to seeing what you do with those Brusho cards! Thanks for your visit, have a great week! Lindart #38

Thanks for visiting. I wish I had your MoJo, wow I peeped at about 4 other posts and there are truly beautiful designs you have created. Really love the backgrounds you have going on here and the post below is like over the top beautiful. Angels/Fairies. I guess I like the glitter !! Your swirls tree also glitter and beautiful. Not tried the foil ! I've too many other things I need to use up and try. Enjoy a great week.

I'd throw out much more according to your funny at the end! LOL! Looks like your desk is ready for use! I have a Tonic guillotine but it is the 12 x 12 one and it's off about 1/32. I can live with that as long as I remember when I'm cutting. Your little one definitely takes less room! Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Look forward to seeing those Brusho backgrounds get so,e action.
Had a smile on the guillotine - so many products pop up again - what comes around goes around and all that. Happens in so many walks of life and here we are with it happening in the world of crafting.
Love the funny at the end - and I am much warmer now -pt the clock around. Head full of a cold though.

Ha, love that Japanese technique!! Nice bright cheerful Brushos backgrounds...you rarely do one of anything do you! I am quite convinced that tonic/xcut and Carl use the same manufacturer and design and have done for some time. I don’t know how long I’ve had my blue and grey Carl. Ideal, but like 6purs, it’s still good, even if it hasn’t got a trendy colour embellishment!

Hi Shaz, that is a tidy, tidy desk ... almost as tidy as mine! I've still not invested in Oxides yet. I need to start using everything I've bought so far before I splash out on Oxides. Thanks for stopping by earlier. I love the Ikea drawers too, they are so long!! Have a lovely week Heather #28

Thanks for the nice comment at my blog, Shaz. i recently invested in a different c utter for myself, too. I am keeping my old chop style cutter, however. By all means, let's toss our electric bills if they do not bring us joy!

I really laughed out loud at the funny this week, Shaz!!! Must post that on the stoma forum - there's always a lot of fun on there. I've just posted this that someone sent me today - love it love it!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiojmTrZYqg

Your desk looks unhealthily tidy today. You are obviously not well lol!! Seriously, sorry to hear you got a cold immediately after your hospital visit but at least it wasn't before. I am giving my hubby a wide berth at the moment until I'm sure he's not going to give me anything!! Thanks for your great comment and I'm glad you enjoyed this week's antics from the kitties. Glad you liked my mystery project piece as well. I must say I was rather pleased with that one!! Thanks for your good wishes - I hope by next week I'll have got a date but things are very slow with the NHS at the moment. At least the pre-assessments are out of the way so things are obvously moving. I cooked some more freezer fodder today in readiness for the Big Event.
