Thank you for taking the time to come and look at my blog, I really do appreciate it. I would love you to leave me a comment, even if it’s just to say Hi. It means I can come visit you!

All my designs are original, so copyrighted to me. If I have been inspired by someone elses work, I have named them in the post, and where able, I have provided a link.

Please feel free to use my designs for inspiration, I just ask you to credit me, and provide a link back to my blog.

WOYWW #427

Hump day again, and time to meet up at Lady Julias (if the Tiara fits....) place, The Stamping Ground.
I have a cunning plan...well a sort of plan anyway. I have not really crafted a lot these last couple of weeks, I suspect my mojo is still sitting in a bar on Kos, sipping on cocktails.
So, in an attempt to drag him kicking & screaming back, I've been sorting out my UFO box. I was actually quite shocked at what I found- loads of pieces I'd forgotten about.

Exhibit A is some Stampscapes scenes, an experiment with some glitter paste, a few masterboard pieces and the bits for some Honey Doo stamped florals.

A couple of plastic wallets with half done projects in.
A whole load of those Mixed Media die cuts, matted up and waiting to be finished.
A Christmas snow globe scene, and another wallet with some backgrounds in.

These are the backgrounds from the wallet- some just sprayed, some had white heat embossed images done with Brushos.

I found these in the same wallet- heat embossed dragonfly images, and I think smooshed through Distress Inks on my craft mat. Shows how long they've been there, having to try and think how I did them.

The Mixed Media die cuts.

So, the project for later this week is to turn most of these into cards.

And I've barely made a dent in the UFO box! I've told myself no more experiments until I've at least made all these up.

Finally, a quick giggle for everyone.

Quick edit I forgot about last night:
I've had my PET scan, last Friday, and Monday morning I had my Radiotherapy planning session, and my first Radio is scheduled for the 31st of August.

Hi Shaz,

I look forward to seeing all your finished projects. My mojo wishes it was sipping on a cocktail at a bar in Kos, or is that just me that wishes that?! Lyns #18 x

Hi. I'm just grabbing a quick coffee in between sewing jobs and am catching up on some of my fav blogs. I've already finished the wedding dress this morning then removed the zips from two shirt pockets and shortened the sleeves on 5 men's shirts.....it's my busiest week for a while so mustn't complain.
I love all your WIPs and am certain you will make some lovely cards from them all. Really glad to hear they are making plans for your treatment now and hope it all goes well for you.
Hugs,

But experiments are so much more fun then finishing off ufo's, aren't they, Shaz? The quote made me chuckle, thx for your visit earlier, vicky

Well done for attacking those UFO's Shaz! I'd like to say I haven't got any, but if I look closely, I'm sure I could find some hiding in my closet too - literally and figuratively! I really like the ones with the thistle and the dragonflies! Don't be too hard on yourself though - if the mojo wants to experiment just let her! We should be grateful for any inspiration - even if it just leads to more UFO's - I guess all my gelli prints could be viewed as UFOs, come to think of it! Enjoy your week and thanks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #23

Oooh yes, cocktails on Kos - sounds like a good book title huh?! I had whiskey in Wetherspoons at the weekend, doesn't quite sound the same. *CLASSY BIRD* :-D. Hope the radiotherapy goes ok, sending big hugs.

as for a UGO. Oh, I'm deeply impressed that you're going to do anything with it....I go through mine, realise they were ufos for a reason, and end up binning them. Yours are amazeballs by comparison. Hope it helps with the mojo. I always find a good shopping spree is a great way to start..!!

Lol lol lol at your funny for this week, Shaz - absolutely hilarious!!!!!

Glad you've got a date to start your radiotherapy, and I hope it clears up the pesky cancer once and for all. I have been soooo fortunate... My friend in the US has done very well after her Stage IV rectal cancer - huge advances have been made now and the prognosis is much better than it used to be.

I wish I could count all my UFOs like that, but I have to confess to having too many. Most of them are pretty big too and will probably take over a year to complete each one! This year was supposed to be the year of the UFO but so far I've failed miserably... but then I did have that emergency surgery at the beginning of the year that upset my schedule somewhat! Your UFOs are all gorgeous with lots of potential!

All the best for the coming treatment. Love and hugs to you both, and happy WOYWW,

Hi Shaz. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and the warm welcome! I love the UFO terminology ... I'll adopt that one straight away if I may! I was off work for 10 weeks, and have been back on a phased return for 3 months. I hope things get sorted for you and you are able to get back sooner rather than later. Best wishes Heather #27

Happy WOYWW (what is left of it!) and thanks for visiting my blog earlier. I cleared a lot of my UFOs out last year, but have a pile of 'backgrounds' and general trimmings left over from mixed media projects. Ali x #30

Hi Shaz, I can't stop laughing ... unbelievably funny! I'm so impressed with your lovely, and so useful, UFOs. Now that you've shown us yours I'm prompted to get mine out and see what I can be done with them. Might show you them next week - if I dare! Seems like things are going along at a pace for your radiotherapy. Not something to really look forward to but here's hoping all goes to plan. Hugs, Elizabeth x #33
