WOYWW #399

Wow, one week away from the big 400! Linking up again with our Julia over at The Stamping Ground, to show off this weeks desks of delights.
A big mess on mine this week, as I've finally got round to starting those cards I was talking about last week. Going to batch make a bunch of cards using the Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies, so I have a few for all occasions- birthday/new home/ good luck/congrats and so on.

I'd started by cutting a load of cardstock down to a size that would go through my 'Bug, and set to work.
It's a messy job, all those bits that come out of the die cuts. What's on my desk is nothing compared to how many have ended up on the floor.

Later today I will get around to making them up. I have had a few cards on my desk this week, a couple of Christmas cards in the post below, and a card I can't show yet, as it hasn't been sent.

For those who were interested in the dies from China, there is a post below the Christmas Card one about them. Be warned you'll be best to settle down with a cuppa, as it's a long post and very picture heavy, so you can see what they cut like.
So, short and sweet this week, and there'll be a post about these cards soon.
All cat owners , or should I say slaves, will recognise this!

Ooooo bits!!!
I adore my Cuttlebug so much... same lime green one as yours... hubby brought it all the way back from Texts for me so many years ago I can't even remember!

I can definitely relate to today's cat cartoon.. although mine eat everything in their bowls... and if they don't... Kitty hoovers it all up lol.

Have a great week xx

Die cutting does make a bit of a mess with the little bits that are left behind .
I was thinking just the same about making up a batch of birthday cards because my little box is nearly empty.

There's nothing better than making a mess and then having the satisfaction of looking at the finished results of your creativity and work space when all is cleared up and done! I love my old CB too! Happy WOYWW!

Morning Shaz. How's you doing?
Love the cartoon - can't actually relate to it as I don't have a cat - but have plenty of friends who do!! - as you say....so true!
Love all the bits on your desk - yes, my floor currently looks the same - covered. 'Spose I should get the hoover out really, but when on a roll... well,, it just seems such a waste of time somehow!
Take care. Dear girl. God bless.

Hi Shaz! Looks like a production line at full steam! I used to have a Big Shot but sold it when I got my Cameo - now I'm thinking they're probably serving two different purposes and would nicely complement each other. These manual ones are really handy when you just want a quickie and also they're great for using up small scraps of card. Loving the cat meme! I should start making my own with my Oreo photos, LOL! YOu are working on exactly thát that I planned to do in this week: make a stack of cards so I don't have to send 'normal' (boring) cards when a name pops up on the birthday-calendar.... I should start! Thanks for stopping by my blog faithfully every time I post my desk, you've really become a part of my Wednesday-life ;) Happy woyww and have a great week! Wow you have been very busy! Lot of bits on your desk.

Love the cat photo. Mine doesn't just sit on the arm of the sofa, expects to sit in the middle, all by himself. He actually stood and meowed at me the other day for sitting on it!

You are so good with making batches! And thanks for the die review. I'll have to see if I can get them over here. And yes, so true about cats...and unfortunately my dog, since she was raised by the cats. /sigh.
Have a great week.

Hi Shaz!
I get the hard work of getting all those bits out of dies! Those Tim Holtz ones are very intricate and take ages to get rid of all the bits!I can't wait to see your cards! I had a laugh at that cat picture - I have a cat that I don't own but she comes round and stares at me until I get up and give her food! So I am a sort of slave! ha, ha..
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

That cat! Only time PJ's cat wants to know me is when she's hungry - pathetic stare - or she's cold - vicious stare! Of course she winds every time lol

Love your cat funny! Now I know why my cats used to sit on my chair.
My words you have been busy, guess you are preparing for the 7th of next month. That is the day before we fly home and with the time difference I might get a little muddled but I will be thinking of you.
Take care Shaz and get it over with in time for Port Sunny.
Love, Neet xx 2

That cat photo is so true, they have the most expressive faces! As I was reviewing Stampscapes, I came across you in the gallery! How awesome! I am there too! My brother's card looks OK to the "untrained" eye, but I think it is terrible! I really have to get back to making them properly! You certainly have a big job ahead of you making all those cards! Looking forward to seeing the results of your creativity! Thanks for visiting my blog, Lindart #48

Oooh Shaz, I love all that mess! Such creativity is emerging from it! What a lovely lot of card bases you'll have at the end of it, to apply your magic to! As for the cat cartoon - you are right! Lol lol!! Soooo true! They have this way of looking at their slaves, don't they... Thanks for your lovely comment - so glad you like my choice of bright colours! I've been using some quite muted colours in the studio lately and it's nice to splurge out every now and then. I'm still feeling really tired and so I'm not doing much when I don't have to, but even after 10 years of M.E. I still deal with guilt feelings and self-accusations of LAZY!!! Lol!

Oh get you getting organised! Its all I can do to be able to comment and that's made me a day late. Honestly that bloody ipad...although I shouldn't really blame it..I had the same trouble with another tablet last year. You look in the mood for making quite a lot of cards for stock - I love it when the mood takes and there's nothing else in the way. I have this very day finally bought the TH crazy birds (I know), so you can expect nought else from my desk for a while!!
