WOYWW #394- MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! xxx

And here we are at last- the Christmas Edition. Make sure to visit Santa Central, otherwise known as Julia's place, The Stamping Ground.
I notice Blogger has been doing stuff behind my back- I've got a lot of new buttons along the top. Time will tell what they are all for.
The desk isn't particularly exciting, unless organisation gets you all a-quiver.

Stamps are what I'm organising, and thats been a bit of an ongoing thing, to be honest. I like unmounted, bare rubber stamps for preference, and there have been a number of ways tried to get them to stay attached to the laminated sheets. I've tried the Tack It Over & Over- worked fine on some stamps, OK on others, and not at all well on yet more. So I tried the Glue pens, same result. Switched to Tombow Mono Multi, and still getting the same mixed results. It's not just one brand of stamps that I have problems with though- some it works fine on, others not at all.
Anyway, long story marginally shorter-😎- I was watching one of Kevin Nakagawa's Stampscaping 101 videos the other night, and spotted what he was storing his stamps in. Those wallets/pockets you get to store coins in, and ones for Trading Cards/ATC's, and Banknotes. Absolutely brilliant idea.So I ordered some, and am in mid swap of my Stampscapes stamps at the moment. Really love it for the small stamps, I'm forever finding ones that have dropped off, and not just in this line either. So all my small stamps will be getting this treatment.

I'll do a post on them properly next week when I've finished them.
Talking of storage, a lovely Blogger stopped by here, having a look at one of my Christmas Card Club posts, and left me a message about the Avery Elle Storage Wallets. You can get them at One Stop Craft Shop, pretty much the same price as they were on Amazon. So, anyone who wanted them, the link is there for you. I bought the  Large, which are just under A5 size. I've seen One Stop at the NEC Hobbycrafts pretty much every time I've been, so they've been around a while. Talking of Hobbycrafts, we popped into their Wychbold store on Saturday, on the way back from Moms. I wanted some tape runners, the Stix2 ones. I also got a handful of their own branded clear stamps.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the people who've sent us Christmas Cards, they have all been lovely. I shall get them all together for a photo next week. So from the two of us, have a lovely peaceful Christmas, and I'll see you next week for the Almost New Year Edition!

Hi Shaz a lovely photo, and great idea on storage might need to find some plastic pages too with pockets storage. Agreed on stamps dropping off esp the teensy ones, the weeny seagull I use a lot and terrified I'll loose them. I lost an oval petite Die the other week. No idea how or where.
Did some catch up reading down below, I remember the craft a scene blog, loved your rescued card. Great save.... also lovely shot of you and Doug. ❤️
Blessings upon you as we remember Jesus' birthday 🎄 and a healthy 2017.😄
Happy WOYWW!!

LOVE that pic of the pair of you two scallywags! I am one of those sad people who adore organising and sorting stuff so those plastic wallets speak to me too! It's going to be so awesome when you can just find anything because it's so clear to see it all! A good job done.
Thank you for all the support over these past few interesting months - it means more than I can say. Here's to a good 2017 for us all.
Love ya,

Love the organisation. I am not very good at it. I think I need some lessons or help. Sigh. Maybe next year.

Your new storage idea has got me to thinking - it seems that every year for the past few years I start the year by completely re-organizing my stamps and how they are stored. I still have tons of mounted stamps that take up so much room, and since I like stamping with unmounteds better because I can see where the stamp is going, I tend not to use the mounteds as much. I have thought about unmounting my mounted, but have refrained. Any words of wisdom? How did you unmount your stamps? Any pros and cons? Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas! Lindart #28

Shaz, what an absolutely gorgeous photo of you both.
Loved this post, sent me all a-quiver - me with my new boxes - I love this idea.

What a gorgeous photo of the two of you, Shaz! I love your stamp storage, too - I like organisation although I'm not very good at keeping it up so have to have occasional blitzes. I use those ATC pocket pages for my Zentangle album, with a pattern on each ATC with the stepouts on the back. It's really convenient.

Thank you for your great comment - having my fingers taped toether helps but not all that convenient! Hoping my little splints from Ebay will come soon as the tape falls off if it gets wet. Glad you like my pages. I'd hoped to finish that project before Christmas but too much else going on at the moment. No time limit on it really.

Sending loads of love back to you two, too, and have a lovely Christmas, and let's hope for full restoration of health next year! It's been a long haul.

Happy WOYWW,

Hello Shaz. Love the idea of those little coin pockets for tiny stamps......organizing stamps does take some time as I still have a bin to finish up. I have never taken my stamps off the wooden blocks but if I did I could gain a whole shelf of space.lol. Merry Christmas to you and your family this holiday season.Hugs Always~Anne L#2

I am loving your organisation ideas - I am slightly obsessive about organisation and tidiness so they are definitely getting me all a-quiver! I must get some of those wallets - that is a brilliant idea.
What a lovely photo of you and hubby - I hope you both have a wonderful Christmas,
Hugs,

PS, thank you for the beautiful card, it's definitely going to be coming out and put on display in coming years.

Brilliant storage idea for your stamps - I might show mine one of these days, so you girls can have a little giggle - it's a plastic box with all my stamp dumped in it LOL! Lovely photo of you and Doug! Wishing you both a lovely Christmas! Thanks for being the first commenter on my post today and sorry I couldn't get back to you immediately! xx zsuzsa #20

Oh I store my stamps pretty close to the same way I also found that I store them all upside down too so the book is flipped open side to me when crafting so much easier to get them all out and not have to flip it back and forth when crafting :) I just use double sided tape on my blocks and have a thin foam underlay on my table so I can just lay the sheet across and stamp into it works for me have fun with the sorting of all your stamps
Merry Christmas to you both

I hope for a peaceful Christmas but we have my mum and dad coming over which is great and I feel very lucky to still have them at 88 and 89 but my mum should be slowing down at her age but Lol! she wares me out! We may even have to play Monopoly on Boxing Day! Have fun and Merry Christmas, Angela xXx 14

Hello my lovely friend ... thanks for popping by my blog earlier, such a crazy, busy week so I did appreciate the visit. Just catching my breath as I wander around blogland before the next round of jolly festive preparations. Don't mention storage! Endless struggle and I plan another tweaking of the cupboards before I get going again after Christmas ... can never find anything post-tweak though so will probably be in a worse position. Only yesterday Phil said how my stamp storage is not working - no argument there as I know it isn't! Will be interested to see your new system for sure. Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas and much, much love to you both. Debbie xXx

AAW, Shaz & Doug!! What a lovely photo and how nice to do something like that. Wishing you both a very Happy Christmas and hope that you are soon in hospital having your procedure done in the new year. Get it out of the way and then you can start to enjoy 2017 again.
Love the storage idea, must investigate storage for those tiny stamps as I am always finding them in the bottom of my box - great idea.
Hope you got dh's card finished - I haven't got around to mine, oops!
Lots of Love to you both

ps I am fine now the air has all gone
