WOYWW #391

So, the after-the-crop edition then. I'll put some crop photos at the end of the post, as always a great time was had by everyone. A few new faces, and lots of regulars too. Julia had a post yesterday about it, over at Desking Central, The Stamping Ground. Jan had a post on Sunday, with more pics. But, back home, and a bit of reality. I had stored all my offcuts in a drawer behind my desk, but they needed sorting, badly. So that was Sunday's job.
That's the drawer, and I decided I was going to separate the colours into various sizes of plastic wallets.
All the wallets a while later. They are too big to stand up in the drawer, which is a nuisance, but they go in ok lay down. I can never figure out why, with all those scraps, I never have a piece in the right colour that's big enough.😡

Anyway, sorting over, I realised I was late for this fortnights Christmas Card Club, so that was next on the list. Finished card is in the post below.

Two other items on the desk, this Holly die, one of the 'from China' dies. Quite large, as you can tell- the mat is marked in 1cm squares.

Also, the enabling from Morti last week of a set of 3 Inkadinkado stamp sets from E-bay.

Off subject, had my final test on Monday, so now it's just a case of waiting for the surgeon to send for us, once he's got all the results, and has had a look at them.
So, the promised Crop photo's then.

Julia, Mary Anne & Christine.

  Group shot, including the Hubbies.

Christine,( Pearshaped Crafting) Margaret(Glitterandglue) and Helen (Stamping by H).

Christine, (Bishopsmate).

Our lovely LLJ, and her Hubby, Gordon.

the Morti corner! lol. Morti, Hubby Dave and Livvy.

Still have some stuff not unpacked, so I will take pics of the ATC's some people made for next week.

Me and Erika.  I managed to get inserts stamped and into some cards, between chatting and eating cake!😀

I know exactly what you mean about the "scraps" - it happens to me too.
That looks a great die you got from China - I did get some circles the other week but haven't even put them away or tested to see if they do what they are supposed to. Love the stamps - off now to see if there are any others similar that I might want - I will get a Poe one one day!!!@
Lovely to see the photos of the crop, thanks for sharing.

It's nice to see some other shots of the crop! I like the one of me and Gordon :-D. You've got some nice new stash - I love the holly die, it's going to be a humongous card though and the witchy stamps are great fun...
I share your pain with not finding the right sized scrap, that happens to me with fabric too!
Hugs, LLJ 8 xxxx

Was going to go to bed when suddenly thought should see if your post had any medical news as had just finished my prayer time when you were included, so tests all done and now wait to hear. Will pray on.
Love the crop pickies so much fun and that China Die is huge. I've had one go astray, not sure if they're sending another or refund, still waiting hoping it will come fir one more week.
Love the card below the way you've just pasted one corner with a mask. Great effect.
Happy WOYWW!!

My scrap boxes/bags are always in need of sorting - no matter how many I use there seems to be too reduction in the amount! Great crop photos - such a lovely day and so good to see you again! Hope the results get back to you soon and are what you are hoping for! Hugs, Chrisx 27

Good morning Shaz. Love the plastic envelopes for the scraps and yes I notice that to with never the right size or colour needed. Wish I picked up plastic sleeves now instead of the file system I did making all those expandable sides so the paper wouldnt fall out took some time to do. Love the halloween stamps you have picked up they are so beautifully detailed. The pictures from the crop look amazing and everyone having such fun with new and old friends to pass the time with. On another note so happy that all the tests are done and do hope you hear back from the surgeon soon, my prayers are with you. thanks for visiting me earlier and have a wonderful week. Hugs Always ~Anne L#15

Hi Shaz, Glad you all had such a nice time at the crop.

I have my ribbons in similar plastic zip bags and like you I have to lay them flat.

The die and stamps look fab.

Hope you hear from the consultant soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

oooh I like the envelopes :) and funny true story I have a holly looking die like that on my greed list at Amazon ( but, I have been hesitant to order it because it is like dirt cheap) so, it is cool to see your's is a decent size and hopefully it cuts well.

(can you turn the pockets the other way so they are portrait in the container and then you can flip through them like stamp pockets if that makes any sense?) instead of the digging thing with them laying down or do they have to go into something else to close?

just a random thought, ~Stacy #36

Me and the scraps have parted ways, it just got to be to much to sort and store. Now, larger pieces I'll keep but everything else gets recycled. Like you said you never have the right color in the scrap pile anyway lol! Happy Wednesday and thanks for popping over!

I just love your new stamps - I adore anything to do with beetles and insects, and can't pass a dead one without adding it to my collection. I am sure I won't rest until I've added that set to my other creepy crawly stamps! I love the photos of the crop, it looks like you all had such a good time.
Have a great week,

Thanks for sharing more pics from the crop. I seriously need to catch your organizing bug...every week your working on something new; and my room has tried to kill me twice with the piles on the floor.

Have a great week! I wish you good news with your final test results.

What great pics of you with all the WOYWW friends! So nice to see everyone's faces, and it looks as if a good time was had by all. It's good to have a sort-out too, and get things organised! I've tidied my studio over the past couple of days and got a lot of stuff laid out ready for the Skype tour tomorrow - not sure what to expect really! Thank you for your visit. So glad you like what I've been doing. I have a lot to do on that project and need to crack on!

I hope you get a date soon from the surgeon. We are thinking a lot today of a friend who was very recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with mets in her liver - she's had her bowel surgery today, and will be in the same ward I was in. She will have chemo after the liver op. It brings it all back, doesn't it, when you hear something like this. Let's hope that soon, all this will be in the past for all of us!

Happy WOYWW,

Enjoyed seeing the pictures of all the happy crafters & their DH's...looks like you were having some good fun. Also got a chuckle from the comment about with all the snippets and you STILL don't have the right color! (been there done that!). Good luck with the surgeon's news, and prayers that all will be well for you. Take care. TFS
