WOYWW #372

Another week flown past, and this week we're all back round at Julias Place, The Stamping Ground. Great to see you feeling so much better Julia, and lovely to be back with you. Our marvellous LLJ did a great job keeping things up and running, so a big hand for Jan, please!
The desk then, thats what you're here for after all. This week I've made another card with the stencils, and that's in the previous post. After that it became a session of C card making, and a load of stash busting.
Thats the view from the side of my desk, I can't get far enough behind it to get it all in that way.Loads of sheets of Christmas paper here, trying to use it up.

This is the batch of cards that appeared- the embossed toppers I did a couple of years ago. I've got loads of this sort of thing in my Christmas box, and I'm using it up this year, come hell or high water.

Here are the Christmas tree ones, drying after having the bling added. Little acrylic gems to simulate Christmas lights.

Ridiculous, really. Sat in the middle of the hottest days of the year, making Christmas cards. Madness, I tell you, madness.

Last pic for the week, and this arrived for me on Tuesday. A gorgeous black & white scarf sent as an anonymous PIF.
So whoever you are, thank you. It's gorgeous, I love it. And yes, I will continue the chain with a PIF of my own.

NEWSFLASH!
Just had a phone call from my GP's surgery- they have the results of my MRI, and there is no sign of any cancer reappearance. There may be some disc issues, which would explain the sciatica, but otherwise, all that can be seen is evidence of how the internal workings are healing after the surgery. Today is a good day!

Your PIF gift is gorgeous. Your Christmas cards, too... maybe the thought of snow and cold, cooled you down? No, thought not.... personally I hate it this hot (and humid, that is worse) but hey, it won't be for long then we'll moan about the wet/wind/cold/whatever!! Helen #?

Yes, seems silly making Christmas cards on the hottest day but hey ho, someone has it to do. Just wish I had some done - and lovely ones like yours. In fact it reminds me that I have loads of die-cuts ready for working on so the bulk of mine could be done quickly. As soon as this extraction settles, today is a feel sorry day.

Morning Shaz. I love those Christmas cards! As you say - the hottest days of the year - but there we go - it's already pouring with rain here with the biggest raindrops I have ever seen!!! That's a beautiful anonymous gift - not heard of PIF before....
Take care. God bless.

I must admit I did chuckle at you making Christmas cards in this heat but just think how prepared you will be by December :-)

Ooh I just can't think Christmas - I really can't, not when I'm struggling with this heat! But well done you being so organised and when we are all rushing to get them made at the last minute you'll be able to feel really smug!! The cards are lovely and I like the white trees on the white background - very classy. I've never heard of PIF but it sounds a great idea, and that's a beautiful scarf.
Hope you have a great week,

Fancy making Christmas cards on the hottest day of the year! Well, when you look at your cards in December you can remember the heat...
I love the one with the christmas tree. Is that a stencil? Or is it a stamp that you use embossing powder with?
I have never heard of PIF. I don't understand the expression: paying it forward. Is it like RAK? It's nice though to receive a parcel out of the blue (Like I did the other day, packed with decoupage!!)
Have a great week,
Lisca

Oh, Shaz, C cards, I'm no where near doing any of them yet.
They are all very pretty, especially the gems as lights.

Happy WOYWW. I have commented somewhere else about the fact that someone will be making C cards - and here they are! Wow, you have made loads - more than I manage to get done by actual Xmas! I was going to start this month, and will get at least one done just to prove that I can do it. That is a gorgeous scarf. Ali x #30

You are really ahead of the game, aren't you? I don't think I could consider doing anything Christmassy in this heat, LOL! Love the PIF idea - there's an element of mystery to it! Though if a regular visitor of your blog now receives a PIF, they'll know it was you! Love the background of your blog - is it new? - I never noticed it before! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #28

Fabulous news from the Doctor!

Christmas? Cringe. I'm trying not to think about it yet but I know it will creep up on me and then suddenly be here and I'll be panicking - sort of like I am now with my trip suddenly upon me when I thought I had plenty of time!

Have a great week

Not that PIF is certainly Happy Mail. :-) I think the phone call from the doc qualifies, too. Congrats! Lovely Christmas cards. I think that was your way of trying to stay cool.. that mental thing, ya know. Thanks for the stop-by. Yes, I usually have enough hair out form under the bed to make a newborn kitten at least. But I wouldn't want to be without my kitties. Creative Blessings! Kelly #38
