WOYWW #366

First things first, and a huge Welcome Home to Julia after her surgery, now back home and resting. I always think you start to feel so much better when you're back in your own space.Big hugs and lots of love to you Julia.
Another bunch of ATC's have landed on my desk over the last week, all arriving with lovely notes and cards too. Bit of editing in the top right- I forgot to take Andrea's ATC out of it's little case, I think I was so enthralled with the little pocket!

Talking of editing, I've been watching the BBC two programme Springwatch. Partly for the enjoyment of the subject matter, and partly for the pure pleasure of seeing my Beloved Eldest Sons name going up in the credits- he's one of the VTR editors. He's also doing some of the supervision work, which he's not done before, and on an outdoor broadcast programme like this, he said it's a bit like one of those circus plate spinning acts, trying to keep all the plates spinning, except these plates have very angry cats on them!

And onwards- the decking. Almost finished now, just one step to finish,a bit of cosmetic wrapping, then some handrails and screening to add.

The box under the top level is a new barbecue- on sale at B&Q. On the left, you can just see the legs of my airer for the washing. As there's only the two of us here now, we don't need a huge dryer, and being able to stand it on the decking is much easier than the route march to the bottom of the garden.
Indoors, and I'm finally almost at the end of my reorganising and cataloguing of stamps. I probably only have a handful now left on the cushion, they were stuck fast and can wait. Everything else has had the TOMBOW Mono Multi glue on the backs, and a little shifting around. One of those jobs that I've been meaning to do for a long time, and now I'm just on the last folder, the second of two Christmas stamps folders. I've also been scanning my index pages to print and store so I can see browse through all my stamps much easier. I can look through them folder by folder, or on my pc, but then you get distracted by something else!

To give you an idea of the size of this project, in the EXPEDIT storage here, the 4 folders in the top left cube, plus the 20 folders in the next row, all contain unmounted stamps- some polymer, some rubber. I have a few wood mounts still- either very large stamps, or some Stampscapes. And four separate boxes- 2 Visible Image, 1 Cardio, and one Gorjuss stamps.
So, I'm done. Off now to link up with our hostess for a while, the amazing LLJ, and I'll be visiting later, as I have a Docs appointment this morning- got the dreaded sciatica back again. My physio thinks it's the result of how I'm distributing my weight, as I have so much numbness on the left, I'm throwing myself off to the right.

Gosh, that is one serious stamp collection!! I bet it feels really good having them so organised -I have all my stamp images in a folder I can flick through and it's a great way of reminding me what I have. Your son's doing a great job on Springwatch - we love the series and never miss an episode - it's top class telly!
Your decking is looking fab and we've certainly been having the weather for it - hope it lasts. Have a great week,

Oh, I'm sorry you've got th sciatica back, that's not right 😟 I hope the doc or physio can suggest something to help.
I haven't seen any of the Springwatch prog so missed Ant's credit....I laughed at his description and am now imagining angry cats on spinning plates. Yup, I remember doing OBs like that, usually the live Athletics. Happy days, lol!!
I loved Andrea's ATC and envelope too, soooo pretty!
Thanks for the support kiddo, maybe we'll hook up soon.
Hugs, LLJ xxxx

The decking is coming along nicely, Shaz, and I'm really impressed with your organizational skills! Lovely that your son has a job with the BBC. Mine might have similar aspirations when he's older - he's into video editing big time. Lovely ATCs to add to your collection. Hope you have a great week ahead! zsuzsa #32

I love your headline banner. Wonderful!

I'm listening to Springwatch on Radio Suffolk as I'm writing this. They are broadcasting from Minsmere. Sounds wonderful. Must be great seeing your son's name on screen.

Your decking looks wonderful. My hubby and son are supposed to be replacing mine when I'm in England visiting Mum but we'll see. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough where you can enjoy it!

Thanks for your tip about The Works. I love that shop. I'll be sure to look out for those little easels as they look great!

Love that your Son is involved with Springwatch, always makes things more interesting when you have a behind scenes view, I used to Project Manage commercials for Adidas and Nike..my parents always loved my footballer stories :) The decking is looking good. Stamps..what is wrong with us crafter/cardmakers. I have SO many I barely know what I have (they are organised) yet I can't stop buying them..LOL. Cx #19

My son will be spending the week at his Dad's company - CGI - hopefully looking as the computing side more than the business side. They will have 3 days in Leatherhead (where hubby is based) one in Reading and one in Central London! He likes computing and Chemistry so it depends on his results really. He is sitting his AS exams at present so one more year of 6th form college before uni, so who knows really. Sounds like you are very proud of your son's achievements, well done him. BJ#23

I know as soon as something goes out of whack my sciatica is right there to remind me that it hates me. I hope you get yours straightened out soon. The storage of UM stamps is looking real good. I'm sure that was a huge undertaking. How cool to see the end in sight. PJ #47

What a busy bee you have been Shaz. Congrats first to son who is working on Springwatch - I can only imagine how exciting it must be for you to see his name rolling on the tv.
Lovely Banner starts your post quickly followed by some delightful atc's and then we get on to the decking which looks great. I like mine which we had done a couple of years ago - just hope we get some sun for us all to enjoy.
As for the stamps - well, so glad you are nearing the end of the mammoth task. Luckily I started cataloguing mine and keeping them on index sheets in tins way back in my early days. Mind you, I cannot say they are up to date but I try.
Hugs and have a good week

Oh sciatica...you poor thing. It's a bitch it really is. I had it for months and months and tried everything. Even had a massage on the beach which I must admit was terribly good! Then one day, I woke up, and it was gone! HAte that lack of planning or control!
Am watching spring watch - love the dynamic formula of this pre-show...must be so exciting for your erm, baby!! And thanks.....not being alone in the crappy times is really great.💗💖💛❤️💚💙💜

What a huge job of unmounting all those stamps! You must feel great that it's all pretty much finished. I would never have the patience.
Hope you can get some relief from the sciatica. Nasty business, that :(

oooh the decking is looking fabulous, we did a cement patio on the north side of our house last fall and for the first time have "patio" chairs to sit on so, we are of course covered in mosquito bites from sitting out under the stars and bbq'ing at night :) so, its exciting to see yours is almost ready for that. ( ps the candles do kinda sorta work and I did plant a ton of lavender but, the bugs still find me lol) anyways, the other thing that got me excited was how organized your stamps look all being in one place. ( I have so many "spots" to search through that the ripping the stamps off the blocks is sort of fun and yet still very daunting. Have a good week Shaz, hope your dr. has figured out the what they need to. ~Stacy #51

That is one huge stamp project you have finished!! My memory is so bad these days if I wasn't able to finish it all in one go I would forget what the rationale was... I'll have to just keep them all in their boxes which I kinda remember (until I move something and ruin the 'system'). Anyway my reason for stopping by is to say thank you for my lovely anniversary ATC. I am sorry I'm so late, but the last two weeks have kinda disappeared in a blur.... Deck is looking good. STILL haven't got around to booking anyone to remove mine (probably because deep down I don't want it to go). Hope to see ya on Wednesday, hugs Cindyx
