WOYWW #351

A bit of a mess, to be honest with you. I had a few projects on the go at the same time, is my excuse.Partly the fault of getting stuff out of my UFO box. Plus I been trying to finish the Christmas Cards in the post below.I came across the Indigo Blu Blazing Poppies that I stamped out, possibly around this time last year. One set was coloured blue, which you can see on the right hand side. The other set only had a couple of flowers coloured, in shades of red. As you can see from the blue ones, I've also added some shading with Distress Inks.I'll do the same with the red ones, probably using brown shades.
There are also some Toadstools, (Lavinia stamps), coloured with H2O's (blue & purple), and Distress Markers (red & yellow). A partly finished card at the back, the woodgrain  ( Stampin Up) with the toadstools. An assortment of inkpads, some Tombow Multi glue, acrylic blocks, (used for weighting down the toadstools), the blue parts of the card drying, after having Black Diamond Stickles added to the centres. The masks for the Poppies- I usually stamp on the top sheet, then peel off half a dozen sheets before cutting out, that way I always have spares. So that's mine, now lets all see yours. I'm off to join up with everyone at Julias, The Stamping Ground.

Oh that's a great tip for the masks..fussy cutting is such a necessary evil! I too have the wood grain stamp, and a slim one by Kaiser. LLove them both.

There's a lot going on there, but all of it beautiful! Love the toadstools, those Lavinia stamps are very pretty...and the blue poppies look like Meconopsis that colourway, so different to the red ones :-)

NOT a mess of any description, Shaz! I love the collection of things you are doing. As for the blue poppies, they are eye-poppiing and mouth-watering - I just love how they pop (sorry!) against the shaded yellow background. This is utterly fabulous. The layering of the toadstools is a master-stroke, too. Great work all round!

Love poppies, love how you chose the blue for one of your creations. I definitely like the toadstools and the one against the fence looks particularly interesting. Nice to see such a wide array of work on someone's desk.
Thanks for sharing Shaz, hope you are well.

I'm just in from my afternoon school run and having done the morning school run and a full day of sewing in between I'm feeling rather jaded but as you can imagine those little ones never fail to put a smile on my face so it's all worth it.
Thanks for dropping by at mine earlier.
Your cards are stunning Shaz....you've been rather busy :-)

Hi Shaz and thanks for your visit - yes, I am sure you are right about our bodies having gone through a lot and having a delayed reaction. The past few days, though, have been classic M.E., called "post-exertional malaise" delayed by one or more days after doing too much. I'm feeling much better now after having had a good rest - when I need to I just have a sleep and sometimes just 10 mins is enough to recharge the batteries. So glad you like my kitty page! I've had such fun with it, and with my hubby's Valentine card. Only a bit of text to add to the page and it will be finished. Today I'm busy making samosas - never done them before so I hope they work out OK!

Hope you are doing OK these days. I'm OK but still have peripheral neuropathy from my chemo although I think it might be a bit better now. Kermit continues to behave very well and it's so lovely to have my life back and to be doing things again, especially creative things!

Take care of yourself.

Hi Shaz, I've popped back to answer your question. The ink I used on the black card was a Colour Box Mini pigment ink and they work really well on black card.
