WOYWW #346

Hi folks, Wednesday again, and if you've been living under a rock somewhere for the last few years, you may not have heard of WOYWW. So hop over to Julias, at The Stamping Ground, link up and join the fun.On my desk this week are some 'will eventually be a card' projects.
Some inked backgrounds left to dry thoroughly, so I can stamp and heat emboss over them.
The plastic bag contains some die cuts- reindeer, 25's,Christmas Trees, some NOEL's,and some Christmas stockings. The dreamcatchers at the front I bought off E-bay.12 for £1.35, a bargain. I thought they may make some nice cards. I buy quite a few of these die cuts from E-bay, as sometimes you'd like a certain die cut, but know that you would not get enough use from it to justify the purchase, if you know what I mean?
I had just moved these off the desk, so they could dry out. I'd cut them out using the Sizzix Alterations NOEL die- which seems to be discontinued now-and I thought a few of them might look good glittered.
So we'll see where that goes. I'm still on a roll with my Christmas cards- though I'm only going to post up one a month now- but while I've got the flow I'm going to run with it. I'll run out of steam eventually, hopefully I'll have most of them done by the time that happens.Have a good day, I'll see you all later.

Can't believe you're still on Christmas!! Mind you you're crafting which is more than can be said for me for the most part right now (although I did start something yesterday!) Love the bold swatches of colour on your will be cards! Helen #?

What a great idea buying die cuts! As you say, it saves you the expense of buying....the dream catcher is fab, I really love it. Bet you'll use them for all sorts of things. And I admire you getting ahead for next December, you'll be so smug when all your cards are done and dusted!!!

Hello my darling girl!! Big hugs, feels like an age since I've caught up with you. Loving the sparkly NOELs and I agree with you about the ebay diecuts - if I'm asked to do something I don't have the bits for or if I can't see me using a die more than a few times I often look there for die cuts. Very sensible!! And I also agree about the going with the flow for the Christmas cards. I could continue but the amount of stuff out is getting to me and I think I need to move on. May re-visit Christmas for a week in the Summer. Love to you both, Happy WOYWW Cindy xx #29

Love that you are still doing Christmas, just think you will be so far ahead come December when the rest of us are panicking over lack of cards!! Great idea with the die cuts. I don't use dies often at all but hadn't thought to buy them. Hope you and Doug are ok. Take care Zo xx 39

I do Christmas cards all year long, makes it so much easier than rushing at the last minute.
I saw a card last year using that die cut, I loved it so much I made mind by cutting it out on my Cricut.

Hi Shaz, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those dreamcatchers and I know a young lady who would love them too. Looking forward to seeing how you use them. I can't believe you're already well in to your Christmas cards - that said, I am already making felt gingerbread men for this years Christmas craft fairs, so I shouldn't be TOO surprised.

You have given me an idea - whilst I am playing nurse here I can put my leisure time (joke, what leisure time do I have at the moment?) to good use and begin some "C" cards for next year. Am sure Mary will not mind me using the odd bit of card that she has hanging around. Love your Noel card makes! Nothing like a bit of glitter for the festive season.
You asked about the Misti - Misti is a great stamping tool. It enables you to stamp in the same place time and time again so is great for solid images that you normally don't get good coverage on, or for batch cards where you want to make lots of the same and line them up. Look at "My Sweet Petunia" for details - can recommend. Tell her I sent you.
Hugs and thanks for the visit - Neet 3 xx

Good for you that you are continuing doing Christmas cards while you still have all your stuff out. The NOEL looks great glittered.
Yes, I used to buy die-cuts on Ebay too, but many don't post to Spain and if they do it's too much postage. A few dies in an envelope shouldn't weigh more than 20 grams. I don't see why that should cost so much... But, hey, I'm moaning. I do apologise.
Thanks for visiting already,
Have a good week,
Lisca

Well Shaz, as far as Christmas is concerned, my favourite month is January because it's as far away from the next one as possible lol! I gave up making Christmas cards years ago... Anyway, very well done for your efforts and the die cuts will come in handy.

Thank you for your lovely comment - we are very pleased at my hubby's result and that all is well. The nurse told him to relax with his feet up today but did he? No way! He spent most of the day slaving in the garden! I've updated my blog with what he was up to, which is actually very exciting. Still a lot of work but come the spring it should look really pretty.

Hope you are getting on OK.

Happy WOYWW,

Good for you! Keep going I say. As you know, you are way more focused than I am at the present. Maybe if I can catch a little spring fever, I'll catch up. Have a wonderful week! Sandy Leigh #55

Great idea to get those die cuts, more economical than buying all those dies. Your inked backgrounds look great. From one ink addict to another! Thanks for your visit to my blog today. Elaine #61

I knew you'd still be going strong, Shaz. Well done on all those Christmas cards. I'm afraid I'll still be beavering away again with a few weeks to go to the big day this year, just don't seem to be organised enough or have the motivation at this time of year.
Good Luck with them

Happy WOYWW. OMG - I thought I was on the wrong post when I saw Christmas crafting! I put my Xmas Stash Box away today - and don't plan to take it out again until at least June! I was going to get a few cards made each month, but why change a tradition. I will continue to leave it until far too late and then end up only making a few. Ali x #45

Thanks for sharing those diecuts, I never thought of buying them - like you I weigh up the value of use before I buy.

Hi Shaz,
Christmas cards? I'm not going there for about eleven months! OK, maybe ten and a half! Oh well, at least you'll be organised, I expect :) The red and green NOEL diecuts look great!
Thanks for stopping by earlier, much appreciated!
Have a good week :)

Great idea to buy just a few diecuts rather than the dies - I wish we could do that with stamps as well. Some of these tools are way overpriced if we can't get much use out of them. You're bringing back memories of Christmas to me! Thanks for visiting earlier! Have a wonderful week, Shaz - or shall I say weekend as we're heading towards the weekend now. zsuzsa #47

I would never have thought of buying packs of die cuts but there are some good ones out there. I had all my Christmas cards done 12 months in advance but I still ended up in a panic because I did not get round to writing them until the last minute. Must do better this year. Speak soon. xx Maggie #65
