Having a break from Christmas cards, finding it very strange I haven't got fed up with them yet. The last two designs are posted below this, and I still have a couple more designs to blog, and a few more in my head. Today being the day we all link up at Julias, at The Stamping Ground, to show the state of our desks and workspaces.
And this is mine, the large pink eggs at the front, courtesy of FB enabling by our own Julia! She said you could get these in Home Bargains for 99p each, so after asking Beloved Hubby nicely, it got combined with a little shopping trip to get some.A bit pink for my liking, but I'm sure once they've got some ink on them, they'll be fine. Which is what they are for, if you haven't seen them before. They make sponging inks really easy, with no risk of hard lines, due to the shape.
Behind them, my reading glasses. The photo album actually contains metal stencils, mainly my Sweet Poppy ones. Past that, you can see the makings of another couple of Christmas card designs. The acrylic gems are still in their little packets- I now need to have a look online for the clear plastic containers I have my others in, as there is no room for them. Behind them, a penguin, and he was a Christmas present from my Grandchildren. He has a little solar panel in the back of his head, so his eyes will light up When we get enough sun to charge him up, lol.Beyond that, it's just a general collection of 'stuff'- postage stamps/scalpels/odds and ends, you know the drill. So thats me, not too bad for once, I must admit.
Anyone else been keeping an eye on whats coming soon from CHA 2016? From what I've seen from Tim so far, this release is going to get expensive, lol. Mini Crazy Birds, and dies, a white Distress pad, some great mediums, and a lot of great stamps.  The only thing that doesn't grab me is the 4-way Archival pad. Most of my stamps are too big to make it practical.
Have a good Wednesday all, I'll be around later.

Hi Shaz, yes was following the CHA updates via Periscope (a twitter app with video streaming, very addictive and interactive so you could chat with the people at CHA) and love lots of stuff!! Great desk. Helen #?

There's been a bit of buzz about CHA in a couple of paper craft groups I'm in on FB, but I haven't looked. There's nothing left over for a craft budget when you've got a child at uni! I think variety is definitely the key with Christmas cards. Although I *was* sick of them come December.

I have only seen the photos Neet left, since I'm not on any other social network. I am sure someone will show the biggest and best before long, though.

Love those eggs. Saw them at Julia's and think they would be good for those of us who have no grip in our hands, as well as no hard lines.

Bleubeard and Squiggles send their purrs. Happy WOYWW from #2.

I'm sure there are always new tools and crafts we'd like but breaking the bank isn't what I want to do lol I know Tim products are bank breakers cause he has so any nice things to want. Darn him for being so talented. Hugs Nikki 12

CHA looks so exciting. I would love to be there to see some of it in person. My favourite is Maggie Holmes' Bloom Collection!

I've seen a few things coming from CHA...I don't fancy the distress crayons much, although a white ink pad will be a great addition. Haven't succumbed to the big crazy birds yet,but I like them, whatever size....! I know the pink eggs are shocking pink aren't they, mine are a bit duller now, but I can still find them on my desk without too much trouble! Your desk looks ginormous at this angle!

Now I am intrigued by those pink sponges so I Googled them to see if they are available here. They are but rather pricey to use with paint and inks. Sure when the novelty wears off the price will go down. Diane #33

If you are a TH fan you will love the crayons. He did some amazing tags with them so watch out for his videos. Have you linked up to Periscope? If not try the app and watch.
Love all the things on your desk - especially the penguin.

I think those pink eggs are breeding!!! Hope our chickens - coming later in the year - don't start producing this colour. Mind you, would look good in the egg cup!

Have a good week

I couldn't imagine what those eggs were for! I thought they were for altering! Of course, sponging inks! Thak makes more sense. A bit like those distress ink tools with the handles? Brill! Have a crafty week, Shaz! zsuzsa #48

Hi, Shaz. I have been following CHA through Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, which has just become Creative Scrapbooker Magazine --- they have gone global in the New Year. Some very interesting stuff, but I mostly buy mine second hand -- much less expensive that way. Those pink eggs look intriguing. I'll check them out online. I find it best for me to do my Christmas cards early in the year. It gets too hectic from September onwards! Love the ones you've done so far.

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date :-) I've been chasing my tail all day but have now managed to get to check out a few of my fav blogs :-)
Your desk was the last place I expected to see pink eggs Shaz but you're right in that they wont be pink for long and if they do the job you need I guess the colour doesn't really matter ;-)

A great post, Shaz, with lots to show on your desk! You seem to be doing well on the creative front, which is more than can be said for Shoshi at the moment I'm afraid! Still, as you say, having a good tidy up does make a difference. I've got a few ideas brewing now, which is progress. Well noticed - the tiger painting! I've used him in various things including the album I made about Dad. It's one of my better pieces!!

Thanks for your visit, and I hope you are continuing to make good progress.

I'm more keen on Dyan's releases than Tim's if I am honest, but either way, hold onto my purse strings.
Thanks for sharing your desk and see you again next week.

Ahhhh - your desk is nice and tidy..... I like what you've been doing with Christmas cards lately, it'll be interesting to see if I can stir myself to make any cards this year, let alone Xmas ones!

Thanks for stopping by....

Just getting around to visit, and foam eggs? Hmmmm. And yes; CHA has already proven a bit expensive; and that was just with the February releases; not only the mini birds; but I had to get the crazy cats as well. Totally agree with the ink pads; and not sold on the crayons either...
Have a great week.
