WOYWW # 325

Hi folks, and before I forget, those Dragon Eggs last week? Built up on a coconut! They were split in half, emptied, then glued back together before adding the scales. So, time to show your desk/floor/tray- whatever you're currently crafting on, for worldwide inspection, courtesy of Julia at The Stamping Ground.
The weak willed amongst you may wish to hide your eyes at this point! I'm almost certain one of you enabled me with the Quietfire/Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Birthday die last week! There is also a Happy Christmas (that's on backorder).
The Alpha die (Die-namics) was reduced to half price as a clearance line, so I just had to.By the way, looking at it, are you as confused as I was? Usually, they are in the order of the alphabet, I've found. This one is random, clearly to make the most of the cutting space they had, but it really threw me when I first looked at it.

The Happy Birthday die is really quite large:
I've laid a couple of rulers next to it, to show you. I loved the script style though, thought it was gorgeous.

I like how the back of the packaging for the Alpha die gives you all the sandwiches for various machines.

I forgot about these Brusho's a couple of weeks ago. 8 new 'Autumn' colours.

The rest of my week so far has been taken up with organising 'Things to keep me occupied' whilst I'm in hospital. To that end, I stamped out a batch of images to colour- these are some of the Gorjuss stamps, not probably normally my thing, but I think they're kinda creepy, rather than cute, as well as some of the Visible Image character stamps. I've also packed my colouring books, Promarkers & DI markers, and both the Art Journalling magazines that Diane sent me. I've been downloading You Tube craft videos to go onto my tablet, as well as some comedy stuff- Michael Mcintyre, and my absolute favourite comedian, Eddie Izzard.
Loads of music, E-Books and Audio books too. So I think I'm fairly well stocked for entertainment of all sorts. I'm not packing my suitcase yet, as we're having this weekend away, to help keep both our minds otherwise occupied. The plan is to drive down to High Wycombe, and stay there Friday night. No particular reason for there, just that it's roughly half way to Kent, which is where we're going on Saturday. I've tried to organise this weekend so Doug only has a couple of hours driving at a time. Then on Saturday we are going to pop in to see Jennie, at The Artistic Stamper.Yes, I may possibly buy some craft supplies (whistles, looking innocent!)
Saturday night we'll stay at Whitstable, then on Sunday, drive over to Southampton and stay the night there. Monday we will start heading back up towards the Midlands, possibly via Avebury- LLJ mentioned it last week, and I realised it's been a few years since we last went there. So we'll be back home Monday evening, then Tuesday I will pack to go into hospital on Wednesday. I will put up a blog post next week, if I can't link before I go out, then I'll ask LLJ to link me in. I'm going to have plenty of time on my hands to visit you all!
Also, if anyone wants to text me to chat/see how I am, either FB PM me, or email me (link in sidebar) and I'll send you my mobile number. Hubby has also put Skype on my tablet & phone- shazsilverwolf@gmail.com. As far as I know, the hospital has wifi Internet access, so I won't be out of touch for long, lol.
Tomorrow morning is my pre-op assessment- how on earth has this come round so fast? Have a lovely Wednesday folks.

ah, must admit, Shaz, my eyes popped when I saw the Happy Birthday die from Quietfire.... beautiful indeed.
...and love your bargain alphabet!!
And getting images ready too, what a great idea.
Sounds like a lovely trip planned around in next week. I went to Avery in 2006 and 2009, because it was on bus routes I was travelling on and we stopped each time. I must admit would love to go back to UK again but can't see it happening.
Will be thinking and praying for your dr visit tomorrow and then on the 2nd.
Thanks so much for sharing. Happy WOYWW!
every blessing, Shaz in Oz.x #34

You sound very organized and it's a great idea to have a few days 'out' and filled with all kinds of (fun) things to keep your mind of the hospital... It looks like you packed for a craft-retreat by the way,... thanks for stopping by my blog and your comment. I still haven't decided about my canvas still... I might leave it alone for a few days and decide then. Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland. Marit #33

Right Hun, we are with you as you prepare for hospital. We will all certainly be there on Wednesday (of course I am talking in spirit not in real life). You are so organised and I am sure that has helped you over these past few days doing all the planning. Hope so anyhow.
Well, I for one would never have thought about a coconut. I did wonder balloons as often those form the basis of a shape but that is certainly different. Did you shave them before or leave the hairs on?
I once had my photo taken with Eddie Izzard. It was just after he had done those marathons - you can see us here http://hickydorums.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/and-san-francisco.html - Chas had gone over to congratulate him on his walking and I got him to stand with me on a photo - not sure if he was a bit piddled off with me wanting a photo with him.
Anyway, you go and enjoy your few days away and come back ready to face the stay in hospital - we are all going to be rooting for you you know.

I love your new dies - I like the larger size Happy Birthday, it will be a real eye-catcher at that size. I was sorry to see you are having to go into hospital, but it sounds like you are well prepared for your stay - it can be the most boring experience, can't it! I hope all goes well for you and I shall send positive thoughts your way. Thank you so much for visiting my desk earlier, I hope you have a lovely weekend away,

I'm so glad you've got some nice colouring to do in hospital, Shaz - although you may not feel like it! I had plans for loads of things I was going to do while in there and ended up doing none of them! Too spaced out on morphine to start with, then the usual brainfog and just getting over it. Still, you haven't got M.E. to deal with on top of everything else lol! All those dies look great. You are going to have some fun once you are up to doing things again.

Not long to go now. I've been thinking such a lot about you and hope yu are coping with the run-up OK. All the best for your pre-assessment tomorrow. The time certainly has come round fast.

Thanks for your lovely comment - I am feeling a bit better today thank goodness but the taste is still there a bit, but I managed to do a few jobs this a.m. I've been busy transferring stuff to my new laptop as well. Pretty wiped out again now.

I'll be thinking of you this week! I hope you enjoy your time away.
Happy WOYWW,

I love your plan. It's just the perfect way to do things leading up to your hospital time. I will be thinking of you and praying for you next week. Tomorrow I am having an outpatient surgery on my left eye. It will help my vision too thankfully. But I'll be at the surgery center half a day, and I'm a bit anxious tonight, so I can only imagine how you feel. I'm so glad you're packing up wonderful things to take for your stay! And I love the alphabet die! Those are quite expensive, because I need one and have been looking, so go you to get one on sale!! Hugs and love. Sandy Leigh #44
