Woyww #205

Well, what a surprise! A Bank Holiday, and Sunshine! When did that last happen? We had ourselves an afternoon out around Stratford on Avon- some quality us time, but blimey was it packed.Takes about 35 minutes from here to the outskirts of Stratford- about 16 miles. Then I think it took the same amount of time to do a mile & a half to the centre to park!

They have an awesome Butterfly Farm, which we didn't do yesterday, but have before now. Gorgeous butterflies, which land on you as you go around. I guess that will freak out anyone who's not keen- I know how I'd react if it was spiders, lol.

I have a Butterfly on my shoulder- less messy than a parrot, at least. The little one on the left with completely transparent wings was amazing.
They also have lizards & geckos wandering around.

Anyway, enough of the Nature Trail.

Wednesday again, so its time to all meet at Auntie Julias Stamping Ground for this weeks snoop.
Been glorious weather here,so we've been in the garden a lot, which means there isn't too much on my desk this week. To be truthful, it was mainly on the floor, but more of that in a moment.
One card finished from the stuff on my desk last week, The main image is a Stampers Anonymous stamp, some paper from a Prima pad called Craftsman, and a Tim Holtz Retro Circles embossing folder.

Now, the stuff on the floor: Lesson #84- always make sure you have a firm grip on ALL the tubs you lift down from the shelf, not just the bottom one. Because when the top one slides off, its going to get messy.
Brads everywhere.Dozens of 'em.

Worst bit was they had all been sorted out into little pots of separate colours. So I swept them up, and sorted again.
One last pic, Ambrose topping up his tan on the decking, lol. Although he'd got that hot, he'd moved to a shady patch, under some offcuts from our Yew tree.

On Earlies again (ick), so I'll schedule this one, and be around visiting this afternoon.

Ambrose is a cutie. It is a true crafter that makes a spill or two! I had one of my new distress paints spill out (sad I wasted so much..ugh..). Butterflies farm looks great! The Museum of Natural History has an exhibit each year where they have them flying. I try and go all the time. So lovely. They place fruit out and they sit on them and eat. Have a great day! Winnie#75

Hi Shaz - I took my boys to the Stratford butterfly farm about 6 years ago - I have a scrapbook page somewhere of two very disgruntled boys one of whom is now terrified of all flying bugs - sometimes a plan goes soooo wrong you wouldn't believe it! Thanks for your visit MMx #72

We went to a butterfly farm this weekend too, but none of the butterflies landed on us, although a lorikeet did sit on my hand while I fed him! I feel for you with your spill...that has happened to me on more occassions that I can count, especially with eyelets for some reason! Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#133)

Gorgeous butterfly pictures!! Love the card you made. Sometimes sorting can be relaxing if you don't have to hurry, BUT I will remember to hold tightly to all the containers...LOL

WOW Shaz those butterfly pics are awesome...nothing like that here in OK! Love your card too! I am having trouble finding the gears and cogs anywhere for my card and tag making. Are you guys having the same problems? Ambrose looks very comfortable there in the shade with one the footsies hanging out to keep the toes warm. Had a black cat once and he was such a sweet baby! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #36

Love the butterfly pics. Your card is so well co-ordinated it's great when something comes together so well. What a disaster with the brads, bet that took a chunk of your day to sort. I have been twinkling for the last few days after knocking over my bottle of deco art glitter lol
Happy art making

I last went to a butterfly farm in Guernsey and you are right, they are fabulous. They kept landing on my then fiance and I, but refused to land on this American chap, who got quite frustrated! Tee Hee!
See you very soon.

Oh dear, Shaz, all those brads and all that sorting ... what a pain! Love the butterfly photos (hate spiders too. They come in the most amazingly beautiful colours. I visited a butterfly farm in Wigtown some years ago and have a photo somewhere of one that landed on my top - it looks like the most glamorous broach :) Hope the early shift went well.
