WOYWW? #187
Here's wishing all my WOYWW friends a wonderful, happy, healthy & prosperous New Year.
Enjoy this picture while you can, I'm pretty sure this is the first & last time it will ever look like this :)
Yes folks, it's my new desk in my new room! It took longer to come together than really expected, but poor Beloved Husband did have to do everything on his own- and a fantastic job he has done too. In the interests of brevity for this weeks WOYWW I have posted pics of the new room on my 'Craft Room' page, so you can have a browse at your leisure. Why a pic of a bare desk? Come over to the home of our much-loved hostess, Julia at The Stamping Ground, and marvel at the worlds workspaces- trust me, you won't be able to resist joining in. My arm is still in its splint (!), so moving all my stuff over feels like it took forever. I've got to go for an x-ray on Thursday to see how it's doing- I'm hoping it's doing ok, I'm assuming the fact it doesn't actually hurt or ache so much any more is a good sign, but I do know I still have very limited use when the splint is off, so I think it will take a while to get back completely to normal. Well, as close to normal as I am ever likely to get, which those that know me (especially Beloved Husband) would say was never very close anyway.
Just to show it didn't last, this is half an hour later!
Oh well, back to the sorting & tidying :) Enjoy your Wednesday, I shall get aaround as many as possible today, and catch up on what everyone has been doing. And to Alipeeps, thank you so much for your lovely Angel, she arrived just before Christmas!

we are like the kings counting their gold...we have to have the things out to see every so often...love the neat space but never will happen around here cause I am a pig on good days! Hope you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! I look forward to seeing your posts in 2013! Vickie #17
Just did the tour of your craft room in the various stages...looks fabulous.
That is seriously impressive, Shaz. Can you do any crafting proper yet, or is that beyond the pain level? Good luck to Doug in getting his "play" room done now. Have fun, both of you and good luck on Thursday. xx Maggie #45
Wow! Your new room looks fabulous and well worth the wait to play in it. Hope you have lots of fun creating in it when your splint is eventually off. Happy New Year and hope 2013 is a good one for you. Anne x #7
Really love the new crafty space. What a fab desk you've got to get messy now :-)

Hullo there Shaz,
ah your space is really truly awesome - love it so much and hope to come back later and check out the full show!! but on run now..
...and re the shoulder:
I think it will take few months or so once fully healed to be honest.
It took my right fore-arm six months but was in plaster for eight weeks, full plaster for four weeks and half strapped splint for four weeks and could not move wrist at all (stuck out like a board) so lost all movement.
It took lots of physio but all good now and hardly ever aches really has wired bump on it but apart from that not too bad.. but you I think will be quicker, not having much as far as other health issues ( I am on cortisone, osteoporosis, etc).. or pray so for you :D
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #20
Wow, your craft room looks amazing. I am glad to see that the desk didn't stay that tidy for long...I would have been worried if it had! Thank you for sharing. Have a very Happy New Year. Caro #57
Happy New Year Shaz!
A Happy New Year Shaz to you and your BH. Kudos to hubby building you a beautiful craft room - it is magnificent. Love your clean and tidy desk, well for the 30 minutes it lasted :D
Hope you have a great crafting 2013 and that your shoulder heals quickly and soon allows you to create again.
Lynn xx
Love your tidy desk but I hope it doesn't stay like that for too long and that you are soon able to use it properly - going for a proper look now! Happy New Year Chris@70

May you have hours and hours of creative joy in your new space. Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you next week.
